Keith and the others returned to the island. Herrick and Melor quickly dashed to the second island, "You two!" He planned to scold them, but they rushed off before they had the chance.
"..." His eyes twitched, "What am I going to do with them?"
"You sound like a father."
"...I don't have kids that big." He refused. While he groaned, it instantly went upside down as he patted Eri's head, "Have you been good on the island?"
"Mmhmm."
"That's great. I'll make something delicious later."
"Yay!" The little ones cheered as they quickly rushed off without a thought about this.
Diana added, “Keith, I think you should take Eri out more."
"Hmm?"
"She's been staring at the city for quite some time."
"Hmm." Keith thought about it. Now that she had mentioned it, Eri had been coming and going with him to the cart. But that was the only place she saw. That was it. And she had been staring at the giant gate, wanting to go out and have fun. Her curiosity should be peeked and excited.
"I will talk with her about it later." Keith smiled as he started to make dinner. But that was when Aidiun scolded, "Herrick, Melor, the two of you need to listen more."
"...Yes."
The elf could only sigh. That was when Carolyn wiped Eri's mouth. She was being pampered.
Later in the night, Keith was reading a bedtime story, “Eri, do you want to go out with me to explore a dungeon?”
"Dungeon?" Her little fox ears wiggled as she stared at him. Keith nodded, “Mmhmm. How about we go to one tomorrow.”
“Yay!” The little fox cheered. Keith patted her head, "Go to sleep. Don't worry about it."
"Okay!" The little fox girl quickly went to bed, prepared for the adventure exploration.
The next day, Keith headed over to the adventurers guild.
Madison greeted, “Hello, little one.” Eri nodded slightly, still quite shy to people.
“Can you pick out a dungeon for the two of us?” But as he said this, he whispered, “Can you make it a safe one.”
“Okay!” Madison nodded as she brought out some new ones.
Staring at the ones on the table, Keith lifted Eri up, “Eri, pick one you want to go, and we’ll go together.”
“That!” Eri cutely picked up one. Keith couldn’t help but smile as he nodded, “Then we'll go there.”
Madison nodded as she picked out some quests. “Here are some quests you can complete with her.” They were simple collection quests, and the two headed off.
They rode on Knight, making the trip straightforward. Entering the dungeon, he noticed Eri's dazed expression. A giant, beautiful plain. More so, there were many things; flowers and lakes were there.
We could easily find everything here.
“What are we going to do first, Keith?” Fira and the others were quite excited about this. He had brought them along so that they could be together.
Keith thought about it as he took out the quests, “For starters, we’re going to be collecting some flowing hydrangeas.” He could tell the seller was someone from the elf flower shop.
“Mmhmm!” The fox girl nodded as she started to scan around.
"I know where it is, Eri!" Fira knew where it was as the fox girl headed outwards. There was no need for him to go with her since Mir and Lei were there. Aria added along with it was over the top.
Keith glanced around. This was an F-rank dungeon; it usually didn't have anything to offer. That was only for adventurers. However, for Keith, anything could become a treasure trove if he knew what it was.
He glanced around and watched Eri quickly rush back. “Papa! Here!” She raised the flowers in her hand, proud of her accomplishment.
Keith patted her head, “That’s good! I’m so proud of you!” As he patted her on the head, Eri’s ears wiggled back and forth.
Fira added, “We also found this big and beautiful rock!”
“Hmm?” Keith tilted his head as he stared at the white rock in her hand. He picked it up and then felt it. This is not a normal rock.
Powdery.
Rubbing it, a slight chalky feeling smeared on his hand. It was something that surprised him. It sort of feels like...
Keith gently placed some of that powder into his mouth. And the moment he had done this, that was when his eyes widened!
Fira shouted, "Keith! You have to be fair!”
“It’s not good? Are you sure?”
“Want!” Eri waved her hand as she was prepared to do so. Keith nodded as he gently scratched some for her, and that was when all they said,
“Bitter!” “Salty!” The group held their mouths as they couldn’t believe the taste.
Keith chuckled, “Of course, it’s supposed to taste like that." He did warn them about it. But that was when Keith lifted her up, “Eri, where did you get this?”
“Um? There!” Eri held Keith’s hand as she led him to where it was. That was when Keith blinked as they arrived. He touched the giant mountain that was before him. He couldn’t help but feel it again.
Keith laughed as he picked up Eri and tossed her in the air, “Eri, you found something amazing!”
“I did?”
“Mmhmm! You found something really incredible!” Keith couldn’t help but gently raise her up as he laughed. He turned to Mir and Lei, “Guys, help me shovel some into the bag! We’re going to need a lot of it!” That was what they did. Once they headed to the adventures guild.
