Volume 14 Chapter 32: Keith Vs Tunnelers
Keith was making his move...actually, he didn't need to. Before him were many track marks on the ground. It was the same one he found a few days ago. New tracks were being formed despite going the opposite route from where it started. A fight. Keith took a deep breath as he summoned his halberd. It didn't matter where he ran; facing them was a must.
SHHHH.
"!" His eyes darted ferociously around his surroundings. His hand patted Knight's back. The war horse also understood; it was to search for the monsters. And these guys were close. Galloping to the side, he saw a bunch of monsters there!
"Why are they so big?!" Yet it made sense! Only an enormous monster would be able to make such dense tracks on the ground. Either way, they were consuming anything that came their way!
"!" Keith quickly raised his halberd to guard. Guess I was spotted. He thought for sure none of them could spot him. Hearing the sound of the collision, the other tunnelers set their sights on him!
Keith jumped off Knight as he swung his halberd at a ferocious speed! Swing hard and think about everything later. With so many monsters, there was no way he was going to hold back against him.
Those monsters were sent flying; however, it only caused Keith to frown. Heavy. And I didn't make a cut in them either. He was capable of sending them flying, but there was no damage. His halberd didn't go through.
"Thunder spears." Lightning spears rain down on the tunnelers. If his weapon couldn't, magic should. Yet those spears did nothing against them. Tch! Then I need to rain down even more damage. Then, he could only increase the amount of power in his blows.
...
"Those things are absurd." The instructors watched from the sidelines as Keith fired his spears at the tunnelers. They knew what they were. In terms of resilience, these guys were around A-rank.
They were quite difficult to kill, and most of the time, people would just escape and ignore them. This was fine, as these monsters wouldn't chase them. However, if they were attacked, that would change things. They would hunt their enemies down till the ends of the earth!
“Should we step in to help him?” The instructors noticed how Keith was getting swarmed from all sides. He was firing magic at them, but they understood that low-ranking magic wouldn't stop them.
Tennol shook her head. Keith’s final would stop if they stepped in.
Then, it's time for me to use my secret move. Keith didn't hesitate to use his gravity magic! The ground under the tunneler suddenly indented, making them unable to move!
It paid off. Keith had been practicing for quite some time. The monsters who got close to him were indented into the ground further. When they tried to move, the ground was slowly broken. With his halberd raised, he swung down!
There was no need to hold back as he continued to take those monsters out. It was quick. Keith took a deep breath. Alright, so we have dealt with all of the monsters…or not. Looking forward, that was a horde of monsters moving away from him. It was clear that they didn’t want to go near this section at all.
“Alright,” Keith took a deep breath as he lay down. He was exhausted. I need to be calm when I do this. Lightning spears plus the gravity magic. It would take quite the toil on him if he used it for so long. But that was enough to cause him to lower his weapon.
“Ngeh.”
“I’m alright. There’s no need for you to worry.” Keith rubbed the horse’s head as he got up, “Now, let’s go and load up.” Before him was a bunch of monster corpses. I don't need to worry about the finals any longer! With this much, he could pass without much trouble!
“...” Tennol and the others watched this and couldn’t help but shake their heads. “Only someone like Keith can get away with all of this.” Any other person would be able to get obliterated. That was something he was going to be annoying.
