Chapter 54 - 54 51 Beast Nature_1

?Chapter 54: Chapter 51 Beast Nature_1 Chapter 54: Chapter 51 Beast Nature_1 Feng Yi hadn’t been at the property management office for long when he saw Cao Xing’s two children, accompanied by their parents, leaning over the fence next to the temporary pool to watch the fish.

The parents of the two children kept an eye on their kids while talking to a woman in her 40s.

When they saw Feng Yi, the parents quickly led their children over to thank him for saving Cao Xing and his friend the previous night.

It had been too dark the previous evening to see clearly, and they were worried about their own children, so their attention wasn’t focused elsewhere, and they rushed home. After making sure that their children were alright, they contacted the property management to ask for Feng Yi’s contact information.

However, the property management didn’t give it out, saying that they needed Feng Yi’s consent before they could disclose a homeowner’s contact details to someone else.

Although they didn’t obtain Feng Yi’s contact information, the parents recognized him from the photo circulated in the homeowners’ group chat.

He was easy to recognize; they had spotted him as soon as they looked up.

The parents were grateful to Feng Yi for his life-saving actions. Seeing the size of the fish, and putting it together with what Cao Xing and his friend had said, they knew that if it weren’t for Feng Yi, Cao Xing could have been dragged into the water!

After asking for Feng Yi’s apartment number, the children’s parents planned to find time to formally visit him and bring a thank-you gift. After all, saving a life deserved more than just verbal thanks!

“How are they doing? Were they too scared yesterday?” Feng Yi inquired about the psychological state of Cao Xing and his friend.

The two parents smiled with relief and a hint of gratitude, “They’re okay, they can come over to watch the fish, and they’re quite excited about it. They were even bragging to their friends a moment ago.”

The parents told Feng Yi that there was a psychologist in the community who had seen the two kids. It turned out that Cao Xing wasn’t as affected by his brush with death as they had feared, and the situation looked optimistic. He didn’t have much fear of the fish, actually.

“Well, I don’t know if it’s because they watch too much TV, but despite the big fish, they just saw it as a little monster. Even after almost being dragged into the water, once they calmed down, they weren’t really afraid. In fact, they’re more afraid of you—they think you’re the big monster, haha!” Cao Xing’s dad laughed.

If that big catfish was considered a little monster, then what would Feng Yi, the man who had pulled the giant catfish to shore, be considered?

The adults guessed the children’s logic and treated it as a joke.

Under their parents’ strong insistence, Cao Xing and his friend switched from their earlier bravado with their peers, moved over slowly, trembling as they thanked Feng Yi, and didn’t dare to look him in the eyes.

Their gratitude was genuine.
