Chapter 91 - 91 91 You dont accept it Come bite me

?Chapter 91: Chapter 91: You don’t accept it? Come bite me! Chapter 91: Chapter 91: You don’t accept it? Come bite me! The next day, Zhu Qianying got up and took care of her grooming routines early before heading out. After eating breakfast outside and realizing she still had time, she took the bus to Yan Family’s residence.

She had mooched off a million from Zhu Shaofen previously under the pretext of buying a car. After giving Xiao Yu ten thousand and purchasing a new suite, she didn’t have much left. She didn’t have any other income recently either, and had to be frugal with the remaining tens of thousands she had.

The villa area, where Yan Family resided in, was the most famous wealthy district of L City. As one could imagine, it didn’t have anything so mundane as a public bus stop.

Zhu Qianying got off at the bus stop and checked the time: It was not yet nine o’clock, so she still had a long time until the Young Master of Yan Family’s lunchtime. Thus, she didn’t hurry and walked leisurely along the sidewalk.

Sunlight poured through the leaves onto her, casting mottled shadows onto her face. From time to time, she would gaze up at the blue sky through gaps in the leaves.

Wow, wasn’t this season perfect for spending time outdoors, hiking and playing in the water?

Why the heck was she, instead, tragically heading obediently toward a job as a personal chef?

Zhu Qianying, at this moment, deeply regretted having shown off her culinary skills to win the Young Master of Yan Family’s heart a few days ago. Had she known he would be so unreasonably stubborn in ordering her around, she should have brought her mother to Yan Family’s place and let her mother show off her skills. Surely, he wouldn’t make his future mother-in-law his personal chef!

Walking and silently mourning for her own righteousness, Zhu Qianying was even more aggrieved that such an excellent young woman like herself had been played by the Young Master of Yan Family.

“Ying’er, Ying’er…”
The rather familiar call came from afar. Zhu Qianying tore her gaze from the blue sky and green leaves and looked towards the sound.

Oh, wasn’t the snail-paced car inching along the roadside Yan Family’s car? And wasn’t the man in the car waving frantically at her Yan Family’s Uncle Hai?

Zhu Qianying wasn’t thrilled about this encounter at all, but she piled a smile on her face that was brighter than the sunlight.

“Uncle Hai!”

“Oh wow, it’s really you! Why are you walking? Get in, get in! The sun is blazing.”

Zhu Qianying wanted to quip that feet were meant for walking, but held her tongue. Before she could say anything she was led into the car by Uncle Hai, who hooked her arm in an eagle-catching-chicken fashion.

Seeing that the car was already in motion, Zhu Qianying sank obediently into her seat. Since she had already been caught and put in the car, she was disinterested in resisting or pursuing the topic, although she would have preferred to take a leisurely walk instead of going to Yan Family’s place and dealing with the Young Master’s mood swings.

“Uncle Hai, you’re quite strong. Did you train?” Zhu Qianying started a conversation out of awkward silence.

“Ah, Ying’er, you noticed? Did I hurt you? Look at this old man, forgetting how delicate you are.”

Uncle Hai looked genuinely concerned, almost as though he’d hurt Zhu Qianying.

“No no no! Uncle Hai, don’t worry. I have durability on my side.”

Zhu Qianying waved her hands to indicate no harm was done, but Uncle Hai still looked unconvinced. She had no choice but to roll up her sleeve and give him a close inspection, reassuring him that she was unscathed. Only then did he relax back into his seat.

“Ying’er, next time you need to go somewhere, just give me a call. I’ll have the driver pick you up.”

Only now did it dawn on Uncle Hai that their future daughter-in-law had little to no standing in Zhu Family, and wouldn’t have the luxury of a personal driver when she was out.

Zhu Qianying quickly waved off his offer. “Uncle Hai, no need. Young people should get out and walk around more often, it’s good for stretching our muscles.”

As she spoke, she flexed her arm muscle at Uncle Hai. His hearty laughter followed. “Alright, alright, I just wanted you to know. If you ever need a ride, give me a call, I’ll arrange for it.”

Zhu Qianying finally agreed to Uncle Hai’s insistence but knew well that she would never call unless absolutely necessary.

Compared to the Young master’s curt and measured words, Uncle Hai was far more exuberant.

From the moment she got into the vehicle, Uncle Hai never stopped talking. Zhu Qianying would occasionally reciprocate with a word or two, but otherwise remained quiet.

Thankfully, the sejour that was initially a half-hour walk only took a few minutes by car. So, Zhu Qianying’s ears didn’t have to suffer too long.

Initially, Zhu Qianying didn’t mind Uncle Hai’s chatter. But what she did mind was his incessant nagging and pleading at her to put up with the Young Master’s temperament…
Zhu Qianying knew her place and the situation she was in. All of Yan Family’s idiosyncrasies – as long as they didn’t cross her bottom line, she would still try to tolerate and adapt to them even without Uncle Hai’s nagging.

After all, a man spending two hundred million to marry a wife ought to get his money’s worth, right?

But Uncle Hai stating it so explicitly made her feel irritated.

Those tolerance of peculiarities, if not pointed out, were bearable. However, impeccably pointing them out turned this into submission!

As she listened to Uncle Hai’s prattle, her mind was filled with images of the eldest Young Master of Yan Family, with a domineering look on his face:
I have the capital to be pampered, you don’t agree? Come bite me!

That gentleman who had been arrogant throughout her mental journey froze to see Zhu Qianying, after which he smugly raised his eyebrows.

“So early?”

Zhu Qianying really wanted to slap him, but on her face was an incredibly charming smile.

“Yeah, it is early. I’m sorry for disturbing Young Master Yan.”

Zhu Qianying put her bag on the storage shelf, and removed her outerwear to hang on the coat rack.

“Uncle Hai, I’m going to see what ingredients there are in the kitchen.”

With that, she took a swift stride, bypassing the Young Master and headed straight to the kitchen.

Young Master Yan didn’t seem to notice her coldness, or if he did, he didn’t show it. He simply instructed her retreating figure, “Follow what I wrote!”

Zhu Qianying ignored him. Once inside the kitchen, she took the piece of paper offered by the chef and understood the meaning of Young Master Yan’s order.

The A4 paper in her hand flamboyantly detailed eight dishes and a soup recipe!

“Miss Zhu…” The chef began to explain.

Zhu Qianying pulled up an artificial smile. “I understand. This is what your Young Master ordered me to cook, right?”

The chef nodded, “Miss Zhu, what do you need us to do? We can help prepare things before you start the actual cooking.”

Zhu Qianying quickly shook her head, “That won’t be necessary, thank you. Please go about with your work. I can take care of Young Master Yan’s lunch.”

She was truly afraid!

If the Young Master of Yan Family was unhappy and insisted saying a certain garlic was not peeled by her or a potato was not skinned by her, and was stubborn about redoing the meal, what was she to do?!

Could she really re-prepare the entire meal for him?
