Chapter 621 - 621 Do not do unto others what you do not wish for
?Chapter 621: Do not do unto others what you do not wish for yourself. Chapter 621: Do not do unto others what you do not wish for yourself. Han Qianqian bit her lip, her voice unconsciously raised: “No, it was they, the mother and son, who killed my mom. Unless I die, I would never let him enter the Han Family and gradually devour everything it has.”
As she spoke, a bloodthirsty cold laugh escaped her lips, and her deep, watery eyes roiled like a tumultuous sea, a tempestuous storm in the midst of calamity—all a destructive light!
She clenched her teeth, “Why should they get away with killing my mother, live happily, and still have the right to control the Han Family? The Han Family isn’t only my father’s, my mother also had her share!”
“Enough!” Shi Yuhuan sat there elegantly, fingers intertwined.
His simple response resounded like the sovereign command of a supreme emperor.
Han Qianqian’s head began to pound. She pressed her lips tightly together in silence.
Shi Yuhuan coldly said: “If you yourself are not in the right frame of mind, what right do you have to relentlessly reproach others?”
“What do you mean by that?”, Han Qianqian furrowed her brows.
She lowered her head, and with a lump in her throat, barely managed to say: “Brother, you promised my father that you would help take care of me.”
Shi Yuhuan’s expression grew colder, he replied: “Yes, I, Shi Yuhuan, am a man of my word. But I am certainly no saint, or a saviour of all. Indeed, I promised your father that I would look after you, but not without conditions. The premise for my promise is that you marry Annuo.”
“Brother, are you forcing me?” Han Qianqian’s voice seemed to lacerate straight from her throat.
“Do not do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you,” Shi Yuhuan answered cooly, dropping his eyes to his documents, and with a dismissive hand gesture asked her to leave.
Having been rejected, Han Qianqian knew it would prove futile to continue insisting, the decisions of Shi Yuhuan were unchangeable.
In a daze, she didn’t recall how she exited the Times Group or how she returned home.
Standing before the floor to ceiling window in her bedroom, she saw Shi Annuo standing still, his straight and upright figure looked as if etched in stone.
As she entered, his eyes lit up dramatically as he watched her lovingly, “Qianqian, you’re back!”
Though his words were simple, they made Han Qianqian’s heart ache.
She rushed towards him, wrapped her arms around Shi Annuo, and began crying aloud.
Not a sob, or a choke, but a reckless, heart-wrenching, and ear-splitting weep.
“What happened? What’s wrong?” Shi Annuo’s face, tinged with worry and concern, asked.
Having grown up together, he had heard Han Qianqian cry before, but never like this, never so chillingly.
Ignoring his questions, Han Qianqian just continued to cry, like a flood that had been restrained for too long, now broke forth in an all-consuming deluge.
Shi Annuo held her tight, closing his damp eyes and resting his face against hers. His fingers entwined in her hair, pressing her against himself. He listened as her heart-rending sobs turned into murmured whimpers.
Remembering Han Qianqian’s earlier loss of control, Shi Annuo surmised that she must have encountered something today. Coupled with her long-suppressed strength and sadness, as well as the grief of losing Han Wen, her emotions had tumbled out all at once.
A hint of crimson flitted in Shi Annuo’s eyes as he softly called out: “Qianqian.”
Han Qianqian was still crying, just crying, not saying a word, nor responding to him.
Shi Annuo felt an overwhelming pain as if every cell in his body was aching, his heart was like being stabbed by a blade.
