Chapter 1132: Taken, Prisoners!

Chapter 1132: Taken, Prisoners!

The Mountain of the gods was a place created entirely of faith. Therefore, the trees and plants existed almost entirely outside nature.

Some of them grew fruits of silver and gold, while some others of honey and pepper. To try and comprehend the nature of the home of the gods was foolishness, but one thing for sure was that it was the expression of their dominion over the feeble minds of mortals.

In truth, this realm of theirs was both a Santuary mortals had dreamed of reaching but would never be so graced. After all, they were only seen as tools or even worse, livestock, much like a famer saw his poultry.

But two humans under condition had been graced with such a favor.

It had been a long time since Perseus and Crusher came to the mountain of the gods to train, and unsurprisingly, they had trained under the gods of war, destruction and violence.

The Entire aim of the training was not about physical battle prowess. After all, these two were incredible in that aspect, a result of their half born genes that guaranteed that they had a natural tendency towards violence.

And even amongst gladiators when they had been back in the gladiator pits, they were creme de la creme of the bunch.

The true training came in the usage of abilities, and the fundamental understanding of nature and the power they had been gifted as members of the Royal Lenny family.

After all, they had not fully absorbed the power as they own. rather, they had only been using it as an extension of Lenny’s will. This was not bad, but in the long run, it would stifle their growth and potential. It was like always holding a child’s hand claiming to teach them on how to do the dishes.

They would never learn if the attempt was not done by themselves.

Perseus and Crusher were in such a situation.

Perseus was ever willing to grow, improve his power, but Crusher was one that enjoyed relaxation, but ironically had an incredible talent for exerting violence.

Crusher would rather spend all day in Insect-B’s bossom than actually do anything with his life. However, the battel with loki was a wake up call for him. One that he really did not want to repeat itself again.

It was not that he was still not lazy, but no man on the surface of the earth wanted to sit back and watch his home burn.

Now, the Lenny family had enemies on all sides. It was best to take advantage of any chance to grow.

If lenny had been around to do the teaching, things would have been much easier. Unfortunately he wasn’t.

That was not to say that their training that had taken many years had not been fruitful. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

They had even gone a step further and had began the comprehension of runes as it was a necessary part of integrating the power of laws that Lenny had gifted his family members.

However, while its true that they had made significant improvements, their power was nothing compared to what they faced at the moment.

"Ares What the F*ck are you doing?" Crusher Asked.

He was a sensitive fellow, and from the very beginning, he knew that coming to train in the mountain of the gods as part of the criteria for peace was Father Black indirectly giving them to the gods as diplomatic hostages, in other to boost confidence in either party.

But he really had hoped that the day such usefulness as indeed by Father Black, never came.

But it would seem that once again, fate had its own plans for them. After all, right now, they were surrounded by over a hundred gods. These were both major and minor gods.

Each one of them was armed with weapons of all kinds, weapons formed by faith, their holy tools.

Crusher had his magic swivel about him. The Bold Lenny Family crest on his back glowed faintly with holy power, and his huge frame that had only gotten bigger with training, arched forward.

No doubt about it, he was willing to fight all of them at the same time.

Of course, winning was an entirely different matter. Even the gods they had related with for so long that had served as their teachers were now against them.

Surely, Winning was a pipe dream. However, Crusher was not one known for sanity, this was especially true if he remotely believed that the battle was going to be exciting.

"Surrender Crusher! You are more useful to us alive than you are dead—Although Crippled works to drive our point best." Ares smirked as his huge hand embraced the hilt of his sword at the side of his waist, hoping that Crusher decided to see the point that he was trying to make.

"Exactly my point!" Crusher replied. "I always wanted to know what it felt like to battle one that grows in power as the battle becomes more intense." Crusher slammed his fists together, creating a small sonic boom.

However, just when it seemed that battle was truly going to happen, Perseus placed a hand on Crusher’s shoulder. "Brother Crusher, let me handle this."

"Huh!?" Crusher was surprised by this. He had come to know Perseus as that figure that did not like to take the center stage. Even battles were no exception, but he was requesting to handle this.

However, his next words made Crusher look at him in bafflement.

"WE SURRENDER!"

Crusher wanted to protest, but Perseus turned to him with a peculiar look in his eyes. Crusher did not know why, but he took a deep breath in and out.

After which he let his magic die down. "We surrender!" he begrudgingly repeated the same words, as he followed after Perseus and went down on his knees.

"Good boys!" Ares commented with a brandish smile.

He waved his hands to the gods and a few of them came over with Rune chains.

The moment a part of the chains touched their bodies, that was it. As if having a life of their own, they snaked around Perseus and Crusher.
