“The undead are preparing to attack the 269th Plane and wish to hire us to head there,” the Naga leader announced.
Hearing this, Lide raised an eyebrow.
The undead want to strike at the 269th Plane? Do they possess such strength?
Though the 269th Level Gravel Plane was close by, that plane was so barren. And with the undead being a single force, could they truly shake an entire plane?
“Wanting to hire us, can the undead afford such a price?” Lide chuckled, “Ollie, take me to meet the envoys of our neighbors.”
Having said that, he turned his head to glance at the two Double-Horned Demon Lords, “You stay here and receive the Dawn Legion.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
After giving his instructions, Lide followed the Naga leader and left, leaving behind the four remaining Extraordinary Demons to wait.
Upon entering this den of evil, whispers of Abyssal blasphemy, unconscious and faint yet persistent, began to echo once again.
Any life belonging to the Good Camp would be affected living in such an environment for extended periods, eventually degenerating into a being aligned with the Chaotic Evil Camp.
This was no land of friendship. Lide allowed Dawn’s exploration team into the Abyss, also intending to research how to resolve this issue.
Lide did not pay much attention to the undead in the north of the Gravel Plane’s Corrupted Land.
Moreover, according to the Naga leader, the undead rarely interacted with other forces; this had been the case for decades, even centuries.
In his view, evil beings that huddled in one region, no matter how powerful, couldn’t turn the tide; and with the Gravel Plane being so impoverished, it was unlikely to spawn any beings too powerful.
Therefore, Lide was somewhat curious what these undead, who seldom made contact with the outside world, truly sought from him.
Did they genuinely want to conquer other planes? If so, why hadn’t these undead conquered the Gravel Plane first?
At this time, the territory of the Double-Horned Demons had already stationed the entire Chaotic Army. Beyond the central area, the disordered sight unfolded before them.
Hundreds of thousands of chaotic lives gathered together, creating a scene so chaotic it was unbearable to witness. If not for a few Extraordinary beings and the Naga Law Enforcement Team maintaining order, these demons would likely have started slaying each other at any moment—even though they collectively worshipped Lide.
However, upon seeing Lide, these demons turned obedient and submissive. The Chaotic Army demons all knelt as he passed, their eyes blazing with fervent adoration for Lide, the great God of Twilight.
Lide showed no mercy, releasing his Divine Dignity abundantly; the oppressive might choked the demons, their faces flushed red.
Yet, a glance at the attribute panel showed that not only did Lide’s actions fail to decrease the demons’ loyalty, but their devout faith skyrocketed.
No life revered the strong more than demons. Being ruled by a superior force they couldn’t resist was a great honor.
Lide walked amidst such prostration for seven or eight minutes until the guiding Naga leader stopped in front of a demon building constructed of rubble stones and adorned with twisted symbols.
Without waiting for the Naga leader to report, Lide instantly sensed the unique aura of the undead within the building. Being the owner of an Undead Plane, he was very sensitive to such presences.
He stepped straight through the entrance.
Lide’s Divine oppressiveness did not retract; upon entering the house, it felt like an ancient giant dragon squeezing into a small pond, instantly crushing everything like a collapsing mountain, freezing the souls of every being within.
He saw seven or eight undead before him, the azure Soul Fire burning fiercely within their skeletal skulls, cooling the room despite the flames.
These undead were tall, each over two meters high, and what surprised Lide the most was that they donned Solid Black Armor and wielded greatswords that emanated a chilling aura.
Clearly, these were not the pauper undead he had imagined—they seemed rather significant, and their equipment was not the kind forged by any average smith.
Lide subconsciously opened the attribute panel, glanced over it, and immediately understood.
These special undead were the trump card of the undead forces—Horror Knights.
And their level, astonishingly, all were at Level 15, with the leader even having reached the Transcendent Level.
However, powerful as these Horror Knights were, their Soul Fire still trembled under Lide’s Divine Power as if they could be extinguished at any moment.
The Horror Knight whose level was as high as 20 took a moment to regain composure before respectfully stepping forward and greeting Lide.
“Great God of Twilight, the Dark Sovereign sends his regards to you.”
The Dark Sovereign?
Lide’s eyes narrowed. Who was this?
Knowing he was the God of Twilight and still daring to send someone, could it be that the Gravel Plane still concealed some undead overlord?
This was originally the place sealed by the God of Twilight… Could it be that some other undead Evil God was sealed here?
At this thought, Lide’s expression soured. Was he that unlucky? Just occupying an abyssal plane, and there were two gods present…
But on second thought, this seemed like a stroke of luck… If the other party was sealed, just like the God of Twilight, wouldn’t he be in for another windfall?
