?Chapter 467: 453, Almost called King Yama (2)_1 Chapter 467: 453, Almost called King Yama (2)_1 By the time Jian Qing finished dinner, the old man from the Jian family had returned.
He had spent the day at an old friend’s house, and he came back looking a bit tired. He didn’t stay in the living room for long before heading to his room to rest.
Bai Jue was invited to a bar, while Jian Luo had returned to her room early.
For a moment, only Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing were left in the living room.
“What time are you leaving?” Jian Qing nestled in his arms, looking listless.
He held her tightly, resting his chin on her shoulder, “In fifteen minutes.”
“I’ll walk you out.”
Jian Qing pulled his hand away and got up to put on her shoes.
Quan Jingwu stopped her, “Sit here.”
Jian Qing watched as the man went to get her shoes, his jet black eyes filled with a hint of a smile.
Quan Jingwu held her shoes in his hand, but this did not detract from his noble demeanor in the slightest.
He squatted next to the sofa, gently helping her put on her shoes.
Jian Qing lowered her gaze to look at him, and they exchanged a smile.
“Done.”
She swung her little legs back and forth, gripping his hand.
“Let’s go, I’ll walk you out.”
Quan Jingwu held her in one hand and pulled his suitcase with the other.
Under the night sky, the two slowed their pace, not wanting to part too quickly.
On the perimeter of the manor, a plane was waiting.
In the plane, everyone was dressed in special operations camouflage. Quan Yimo was among them, as were Qiao Yu and Fu Heng.
Despite knowing Jian Qing’s identity, this was the first time Qiao Yu and Fu Heng laid eyes on the Jian family’s Rose Manor.
“Is that the boss?” Qiao Yu sat by the window, his sharp eyes spotting a figure approaching from a distance.
Hearing this, everyone in the plane curiously gathered by the windows, staring intensely outside.
They, the Falcon Squadron, had long heard that a legendary figure from the military would join this operation.
When they caught sight of the dark figure, their eyes were filled with excitement, but when their gaze moved to the woman next to him, the group of men were gossiping.
Was this rumoured to be Elder Jing’s girlfriend?
Her beauty, was truly unparalleled.
Quan Yimo glanced at them, but did not stop them.
“We will part here. Hurry back so you don’t catch a cold.” Quan Jingwu let go of his suitcase, and his large hand warmed her small, cold hands.
Jian Qing suddenly reached out and hooked her hand around his neck, kissing him fiercely.
She didn’t want him to leave at all, but she knew that this was his responsibility.
Quan Jingwu wrapped his arm around her waist, reciprocating with his usual dominance and intensity.
As their passionate kiss lingered, the spectators in the plane were rather excited.
Oh, their young hearts.
They just couldn’t handle this display of affection.
“A gentleman should avert his eyes during such moments.” Qiao Yu said meaningfully, without any intention of looking away.
It took a while for the passionate kiss to end. Jian Qing gripped his neck, their foreheads touching, “Quan Jingwu, remember your promise. You must return to me unharmed.”
Her soft voice was strong and echoed in the air.
“Ok.” He chuckled in amusement, bending down to kiss her beautiful eyes.
“Remember, if you haven’t returned by the time it snows, I’ll come looking for you.” After she said this, she pushed him away and ran back.
Quan Jingwu watched her figure receding, a charming smile playing on his thin lips.
Not until her figure had disappeared from his sight, did he board the plane with his suitcase.
“Boss!”
As soon as the plane door opened, Qiao Yu and Fu Heng greeted him.
Seeing Quan Jingwu, the members of the Falcon Squadron reflexively saluted him, “Elder Jing, good day!”
They were very close to blurting out ‘King Yama’.
Thankfully, they managed to catch themselves in time, they thought to themselves.
Quan Jingwu merely responded with a curt “Hmm”, before he exchanged greetings with Quan Yimo.
“Boss, your seat is here.” Qiao Yu took his suitcase from him and pointed to his seat.
Quan Jingwu walked over and sat down by the window.
“Take off!”
Quan Yimo commanded.
Quan Jingwu looked out of the window, watching as the manor gradually became a small dot. He then turned his gaze back to the bracelet on his wrist.
My darling, wait for me!
…
Solak Island, located at the edge of M country, was known as a deserted island.
As it approached noon, the plane landed on the perimeter of the island.
The sea pushed against the rocks, creating a wave after wave, emitting a rhythmic sound. The island was covered in large trees, and from a distance, it was difficult to imagine that it was a deserted island.
“Boss, some people are coming.”
From a distance, a few figures dressed in green camouflage slowly approached, catching the attention of the Falcon Team who then stepped on guard.
When the people came closer, everyone relaxed their vigilance.
“Captain!”
The man in front saluted Quan Yimo, shouting in a loud and clear voice.
“What’s the situation?” Quan Yimo asked directly.
“We just arrived two days ago. We can discuss the details in the town, we’ve already found a temporary base.” The man responded in a booming voice.
After speaking, the group noticed Quan Jingwu, and their eyes widened in surprise.
The man who had spoken even jokingly rubbed his eyes, as if he couldn’t believe who was standing in front of him.
King Jing?
Could he have become delusional from the change of environment?
Seeing this, Quan Yimo gave him a smack on the head, “Lead the way.”
“Yes, sir.” The man straightened up, maintaining his military posture.
They gathered their luggage, and the group headed towards the town.
As they entered the town, their mood heavy at the sight before them.
The small town was desolate and quiet, a post-disaster sight. The children and the elderly along the streets were dressed in ragged clothes. Some of them were even gnawing at grass roots.
“Captain, there aren’t many people in this town. Most of them are locals who make a living by fishing. Some of the kids here have been abandoned.” One of them explained.
“That abandoned inn is our temporary base. The elderly couple who run the inn told us that this town used to be prosperous. However, because of a disaster, many people died, and as a result, the town declined.” He pointed to a tall building not far away. The signage had faded after being exposed to the elements, and the word ‘Inn’ was the only thing that remained visible.
