My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 100: Turned Topsy-Turvy

Chapter 100: Turned Topsy-Turvy

Ely looked left and right in confusion. It was a cave with lots of bedroom furniture. However, there was also a grand altar, several blood-red magic circles, dark runes, and formation arrays.

"This is my cave, my bedroom." Sylvia let go of Ely, but she immediately knelt down.

"What are you doing?" Ely asked in confusion. Even though Sylvia’s malice had disappeared, she was still on high alert.

[Sylvia Transcendent (FV: 7290) | 10th Rank Peak Stage]

[Loyalty: 80%]

[Talent: 5 Stars | UR]

Ely was shocked because Sylvia’s hostility was gone and was replaced with loyalty. So, Sylvia was free from the strange mind control or manipulation spell.

However, she could still feel some third-party evil energy in Sylvia’s body. Even though Sylvia was a blood devil and half-demonic dragon, she knew Sylvia never cultivated evil energy.

The devils from the other world mostly cultivated dark energy, and not all devils were evil. However, this strange energy was sinister and strong enough to affect a 10th Rank expert’s mind.

After inspecting it more closely, Ely was sure of it.

"I beg for forgiveness. I was desperate... I committed a sin and tried to kill you a while ago. I don’t know why I did it, but please punish me." Sylvia apologized sincerely. She didn’t even dare to raise her head, ashamed of herself.

"Can you recognize me? You know what you did wrong? Do you realize what you have done?" Ely crossed her arms over her chest. Honestly, she still tried to understand Sylvia’s current state.

"Yes, my mind is vulnerable, and I only prioritize my primary goal regardless of what I do to achieve it. To summon my God, I have collected more than ten thousand blood of superior creatures. I became evil." Sylvia was scared as she knew Ely was angry.

"Raise your head. Apologizing to me won’t solve anything. You will atone for your sins later. For now, you need to recuperate, or you may die." Ely actually still didn’t know how to deal with this devil girl.

They were friends, but somehow Sylvia became an evil devil. Nevertheless, the first thing she needed to do was heal Sylvia’s injuries.

Sylvia had serious burns and was bleeding everywhere. Not to mention, this devil girl also lost her right hand, tail, and wings.

"Master Ely, you won’t throw me away, will you? I did everything just for you." Sylvia raised her head fearfully.

"The door of repentance is always there. I will guide and accompany you." Ely held out her hand.

"Ely..." Sylvia’s tears welled up at the corners of her eyes. Ely seemed to glow in her eyes. She held her angel’s hand and stood up.

At that moment, Ely saw Sylvia’s loyalty increase gradually.

She had no idea why this peak-level powerhouse referred to her as master. Nevertheless, she needed to deal with Sylvia’s injuries immediately. They could always talk after that.

As a mixed race between the devil and demonic dragon, Sylvia possessed insane regenerative abilities as long as there was enough blood and vitality. But, the wounds inflicted by Celestia’s darkness were deadly and dangerous.

Sylvia couldn’t heal her wounds, let alone regenerate her lost limbs.

"I need to go to my rejuvenation chamber. May I ask for your help?" Sylvia asked for help, but she felt a little embarrassed and scared.

Ely helped Sylvia undress and assisted the wounded devil girl into a hot tub full of blood-like liquid in the next room. However, no wounds could be healed unless Celestia’s debuffs were removed.

"Purify." Ely used her purification skill and removed Celestia’s debuffs. Under her light, the God-tier debuffs vanished without a trace.

She then poured a vial of Super-tier healing potion into the blood-like hot tub.

Sylvia regenerated her right hand, dragon tail, and black angel-like wings. Ely gave her a vitality potion, and she could recover faster than expected.

"There’s no longer any disturbing evil influence on your mind, but it hasn’t completely disappeared. It’s temporary okay, and we’ll fully handle it later. So, can we talk now?" Ely took a stool and sat next to the tub.

"Mm, several variables influenced me and triggered my demonic impulse..." Sylvia looked down, staring at her hands. She then looked at Ely and pulled down Ely’s half-face respirator. "Please excuse me."

"What?" Ely was taken aback.

At that moment, Sylvia could see Ely’s angelic face and hear Ely’s authentic soothing voice. It was truly Ely, just like what Yuuki said.

After that, Sylvia answered all of Ely’s questions and told Ely about her situation.

Everyone failed to find Ely five years ago. The search lasted for a year before everyone decided to split up.

Sylvia insisted on having everyone move as a group. Yet, the decision to split up was already agreed upon by almost everyone.

She was the last one who still searched around the Northern Realm’s northern mountains until she went elsewhere.

Roughly forty-five months ago, she found a God-tier inheritance in ancient ruins in the deepest land of the Demon Realm.

She studied several powerful ancient demonic arts but slowly fell into the demonic impulse. Nevertheless, she could still handle it at that time.

Until one day... a Demi-God vampire overlord tried to harm her. She never expected her new acquaintance would trap her with a forbidden demonic art to screw up her mind and amplify her six desires. He also drugged her.

She became absentminded for a moment, and the drug almost ruined her. However, her spiritual defense kicked in. She escaped and tried her best to neutralize the negative effects.

However, that forbidden demonic art left an after-effect on her mind. She fell into her demonic impulse and could only think about how to bring her God back to her side.

The perpetrator even manipulated her to wipe out his enemies with her hands. Her mind was still unstable and messed up. She treated almost everyone as enemies and slaughtered anything that got in her way.

"I see... It’s like how people get screwed up when drunk and realize all their mistakes when sober. May I know who is the perpetrator and what’s his background?" Ely nodded in understanding.

She could never forgive that Demi-God devil after harming and manipulating her friend to become evil. Punishment would be meted out, and she would hunt him down. However, she only knew the clarification from Sylvia’s side, not the other party...

"Everything starts from the hell’s inheritance... But it’s also his fault. Ulysses Devonshire, the Demi-God Vampire Overlord of the Drocogalla Secret Realm. I don’t know about the rest since I became a killing machine afterward." Sylvia rested her head on her arms at the edge of the tub. She then clenched her fist. "I’ll kill him."

After understanding Sylvia’s situation, Ely asked about the current event. "Where are we now?"

"We are in my secret cave abode in a nameless forbidden zone in the Demon Realm’s secluded region." Sylvia replied.

She then made it clear. She previously went to the battlefield and summoned thousands of hell devils because she detected a familiar magic at the Demon Realm’s border. However, her clouded mind treated Yuuki and Evelyn also as enemies. She even craved their blood.

"Okay, but you need to apologize to Yuuki and Evelyn later. I also almost killed you because your malice and strange evil energy triggered Celestia’s fury. Luckily, you can still be saved..." Ely breathed a sigh of relief as she pointed her thumb at the dark sword hovering on her back.

Celestia’s aura completely disappeared as it went into a dormant state. Not to mention, it was currently covered by more than three dozen sealing talismans.

"..." Sylvia said nothing but was scared to think about it. She knew Celestia would truly kill her if it weren’t for Ely. After all, the friendly fire couldn’t be tolerated.

"Ely, where have you been all these years, and why can’t we find you? Also, why can’t I feel our spiritual connection? And, our blood contract? It’s still intact by my side, but why isn’t it in your body?" Sylvia looked at Ely up and down.

She could only sense a familiar yet inexplicable feeling from Ely, and she still had some doubts.

"That is what I also want to know... My memories are still topsy-turvy and blurry. I can only remember a little about us... Would you be willing to tell me who I really am, Sylvi?" Ely looked at Sylvia with an expectant gaze.

Yuuki and Evelyn were stingy. She wished Sylvia could tell her more about her past.

"Memory loss? But you have Celestia, and you’re definitely not an imposter. Wait, are you maybe not completely Ely? The fragment..." Sylvia widened her eyes as she could connect the dots upon a recollection that suddenly crossed her mind.

"What do you mean? Who am I to you?" Ely scratched her head in confusion.

"You’re my family. I am actually your devil familiar. But, there is the real you. Our Goddess Master... May I know where she is?" Sylvia tilted her head slightly with a smile on her face.

"You can meet her someday if you follow me. But we’re not done with you yet." Ely raised her finger.

"Ah, yes... I still deserved a punishment." Sylvia replied with a smile. It was as if she was pleased and expected a punishment.

Sylvia then shared a tale about the past and how she met their Goddess Master.
