Chapter 127: After Her Slumber
Chapter 127: After Her Slumber
"Uhm..." Ely propelled her body to sit up while rubbing her eyes gently.
She felt she had just had a long sleep, and her body was incredibly fit and fresh.
"Hmm?" Ely found Yuuki and her core disciples had surrounded her bed. They looked worried, and she responded with a gentle smile. "How long did I sleep?"
"Three days. Oh, I can touch you now." Yuuki tried to touch Ely’s hand, and no energy barrier was blocking her now.
"Three, three days?" Ely was taken aback. She glanced at her disciples, and they confirmed that.
Everyone then expressed their worry, and Ely could only reassure them. She just needed more time to recover. That was all she could tell them as she was also a bit confused.
After all, she had no idea why she slept for three days without waking up once.
---
Ely ate her warm breakfast quietly in the yard near the Sacred Sakura tree. She looked at the snow around her.
It had snowed two days ago, but she wasn’t too worried because the mountainous region around the Sacred Mountain wouldn’t be covered in thick snow like the northern snow mountains.
"Now that it’s winter again..." Sylvia walked over and sat down, leaning against the Sacred Sakura tree.
"Master, here is your hot tea." Gabriella put a glass of hot tea in front of her master.
"Um, thank you." Ely took a sip of her tea.
"Hey, Yuuki. Can’t you get in touch with the others? Next year is too long, and no one knows what has happened to them. We’ve found Ely now, and it’s time for them to return." Sylvia patted her pet’s head with her finger.
"..." Noir ignored that. The fire dragon like him was so lazy in winter.
"We’re only one week before the new year... There’s nothing I can do. If we do the math, they should already be preparing to return. They probably will arrive at this Terra World’s Tearobis Great Continent in spring." Yuuki shook her head.
"I already said that splitting up isn’t a good idea. The risk increases because we move individually."
"Several people move in pairs. That’s just the three of us staying in this world."
"And others crossed the super vast ocean to go to other worlds beyond the world’s boundary. The Chthonic World and the Caelum World, yes? I wonder who came up with this idea."
"Everyone agrees with this."
"They searched far and wide, but Ely is actually at our starting point, waiting for us while accumulating a new force."
"Yeah..."
"Hey, I remember someone who said that Ely fell into another part of the world, like through worlds and dimensions. I also remember some believed that Ely was trapped in the deep sea."
"I can’t comment on that. It was just a hunch we had over four years ago. You’re desperate, too, right?"
"Who knows... But, if they haven’t come when our Goddess Master returns, she will be sad. What Lady Rhea said proves to be true. The group will split apart when Ely isn’t there. So sad..."
Sylvia and Yuuki had a casual discussion, but it went nowhere.
Sylvia wiped her fake tears while glancing at Ely’s reaction. She found Ely was curious and excited for extra.
"Hey, Ely~ What are we going to do next? I know you have some unfinished business and problems that must be addressed." Sylvia flew over. She rested her chin on her hands with a curious smile.
"One thing that worries me is about the ancient demons, then the Guardian of Dream’s affairs after the great war..." Ely glanced at Gabriella.
"Rest assured, master. We’ve handled the Guardian of Dream’s internal and external matters. As a result, our business is now flooded with orders and profits. Here’s the report for the last two weeks." Gabriella handed over a document to her master.
Ely received it and checked the report. Recently, the Guardian of Dream took advantage of the post-war situation to make a lot of profit.
Taken together, the Guardian of Dream was like an international corporation covering almost the entire Human Realm. There were tens of thousands of people under them to feed, and of course, making huge profits was one of their priorities.
"Everyone is so capable." Ely looked at her core disciples proudly.
Her other disciples were absent as they had to carry out their respective tasks and duties. Nevertheless, all her disciples were reliable and capable.
If it wasn’t because she had to unseal her Goddess Master, she would still live quietly and peacefully where her disciples did almost everything.
"But, master... the ancient demon clans started searching for Sacred Sakura Holy Land’s whereabouts. They want to find the Young Demon God..." Rafela expressed her concern.
"Hmm... I should go to the Ancient Night Secret Realm to fulfill my part of the deal." Ely glanced up at the white sky above.
"Then, master. Please allow me to accompany you to that ancient secret realm." Jophiel came closer as she didn’t want to miss the exciting event.
"Please allow me to help you there, master." Gabriella also volunteered.
Then, the other disciples followed suit. They wished to contribute, considering they just broke through to 6th Rank. They knew something big would always happen every time their master went out of the Sacred Mountain.
Unfortunately, Ely didn’t want to bring a big group into the Ancient Night Secret Realm. Unlike Sylvia’s problem, where she needed extra help, this matter was best done in a small group.
After all, she had to go there to tie up the loose end. The ancient demon clans were currently their allies too.
"It’s only three days at most, and I’ll be right back..." Ely almost couldn’t bear to see Jophiel’s pitiful gaze.
She was like a parent who wanted to go to work but needed to leave her children at home.
"So, can’t I? Elder Yuuki and Lady Sylvia will also be going with you, right? That’s a bit unfair. That nightmare demoness is dangerous. I must ensure your safety, master." Jophiel held her master’s hand and swung it right and left.
Among other disciples, she was her master’s favorite. Her master would never refuse her request if she did it right and didn’t cross the line.
"Is-is that so? Is she that dangerous? However, your talent has been upgraded, and you have also risen to 6th Rank. Can she make you feel threatened?" Ely looked at Jophiel’s sparkling pink eyes and then at Yuuki.
She had to collect the money and remove the ancient demons’ restriction curse, but she knew Yuuki and Sylvia would go with her as they would never let her go alone.
"It’s not that. But- uh. Anyway, we have stabilized our foundation in the past three days. We all now have four-star talents and are already at the 6th Rank! We can also help you~" Jophiel took out a power measuring crystal.
She was already a 6th Rank expert with four-star talent. She then glanced at her seniors and juniors. They also showed their measurement crystal.
"Everyone is good, but Ely said she needs to move with a small group. We can bring Jophiel and Gabriella to help us with the ancient demon’s matters. For the others, I’m sure Ely already has her plans and arrangements for you." Yuuki expressed her opinion.
"Yes, that’s it." Ely nodded in agreement. If her disciples insisted on doing something for her, she had to find something productive to keep them busy for at least three days.
"We may face one or two more great evils shortly. I feel like fate is pushing them onto us." Ely spoke calmly and stood up from her seat.
She then stood before Rafaela. "Please make some throughout preparations to deal with disaster-class threats. Raf-chan, can I pass this responsibility to you? You will take the command for it."
"!?" Rafaela and the other disciples gasped.
They would encounter another big evil again shortly! Since their master had said it, then it would obviously happen.
Considering the adversity they encountered and the survival battle they experienced in the Hell Trial, they needed very thorough preparations.
"Rest assured, master. We will prepare everything before you come back. Whether it’s Heavenly Ancient Demon or another Demon God, we will become your sharpest blades to eradicate them." Rafaela responded with a salute.
"Then, I’m counting on you all. Jophi-chan and Gab-chan will help me settle the ancient demon’s matters. We will be back in three days at the most." Ely replied with a subtle nod.
The order was given, and Rafaela left with her juniors. They would be extremely busy going through the preparations, especially stocking up on spirit stones.
Ely, Gabriella, Jophiel, Yuuki, and Sylvia remained in the yard. Sakura silently sat on a tree branch, and Zi Xuan watched from above. Everyone was silent in that serene atmosphere.
Ely returned to her seat and enjoyed her hot tea. They would leave soon, but she wanted to enjoy the peace for a little longer.
