Chapter 180: Unseal the Immortal Saintess
Chapter 180: Unseal the Immortal Saintess
After the pizza banquet, Ely put her portable kitchen back into her storage pouch. Her disciples helped her clean up the room and returned it to its original state.
"Do you always carry the entire kitchen set everywhere?" Meiying was a little curious as she felt it unusual for someone to bring a whole kitchen everywhere.
"Yes, forgetting to bring something on my journey will be troublesome. That’s why my portable kitchen is so helpful." Ely checked the room one more time. Everything was clean, and she didn’t leave anything behind.
"..." Meiying and Mingyue looked at each other as if they had the same thought.
Anyone who traveled with Miko would definitely enjoy the trip because it was always accompanied by various delicious foods.
"No, don’t go. Why do you need to leave so soon? Can you stay for another day? At least allow us to host a luncheon." Feng Xue was reluctant to let Miko go. It was the pizza’s fault.
"Please forgive us, Lady Feng Xue. We need to return soon. Someone is waiting for us right now." Ely bowed slightly in apology.
She remembered Zi Xuan and that blue crystal coffin when she woke up from her sleep. The Heavenly Demon Inheritor’s matter had been concluded, and she had to help her junior priestess candidate as soon as possible.
"You just ate a lot of pizza. Are you still hungry?" Sylvia rolled her eyes.
"Well then, I won’t keep you any longer. Allow us to escort you all to the realm’s portal." Mingyue nodded in understanding. She led the way, and everyone went with her.
---
After leaving the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm, Ely’s group left the vicinity using instant teleportation after bidding their farewell.
Meiying also excused herself and left with her people.
The guests had already left, and Mingyue stood outside the fortress palace gates, watching the people from Frozen Cloud fly away in the sky. Her eldest sister, escorts, and elders were also there. However, nobody spoke for a few seconds until someone suddenly broke the silence.
A messenger came in haste. He clasped his fist and reported. "My lady, the higher-ups, and other executives have just arrived at the South Mountain Mansion’s audience chamber. They would like to meet the Sacred Sakura and Frozen Cloud representatives."
"Hmm, they’re a little earlier than I expected. Had Miko foreseen that and left earlier because she smelled something troublesome? Well, I think it’s for the best. I don’t want those people to meet Miko that early." Feng Xue sighed.
"Uhm, but the guests have already left. Are they going to scold us?" Mingyue was a bit worried.
"There’s no way. They would never dare to scold us, especially our precious saintess. They came without any prior notice. It was supposed to be just my people’s banquet, but they still caught the news. Nevertheless, we still need to meet them to explain it. Let’s go back." Feng Xue turned around and headed back to the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm. Her maidservants followed obediently.
Minyue looked back once. Afterward, she flew to catch up with her eldest sister and everyone.
---
Ely returned to Sacred Mountain three hours before noon. The first place she visited was the Sacred Sakura Tree because Zi Xuan used to lay lazily on one of the tree branches with Sakura.
"Rua, rua..." Sakura flew closer and landed on Ely’s hand.
"We’re back, Sakura-chan. Is everything okay? Hmm? Zi Xuan did what?" Ely gave Sakura a good headpat, but she was surprised when Sakura answered with some complicated hand gestures and then pointed to the room next to the warehouse.
It was a workshop room for crafting artifacts and other magic items. Ely walked over to that room. Right after she opened the door, a cold aura radiated from within.
Silence... No one was making artifacts or anything. The blue crystal coffin was placed in the middle of the room, radiating a gentle cold aura. However, various tools were strewn across the floor, indicating that someone had recently done something to the coffin.
Zi Xuan tried to open that coffin but failed and gave up.
The blue crystal coffin was still intact without the slightest scratch. It was tightly closed, but Zi Xuan couldn’t be seen anywhere.
"Where did that ghost go? Did she infiltrate the warehouse to plunder some treasures? But she can’t bypass the warehouse’s seal barrier without permission from Ely or Sakura." Sylvia walked into the room and tried to find Zi Xuan.
"Rua." Sakura pointed at the blue crystal coffin.
"Zi Xuan is inside the coffin? Hmm-mm, her spirit returned to her sealed body. She was inside since last night and waiting for me to unseal her?" Ely nodded in understanding as she tried to understand what Sakura wanted to convey.
"I see... then, how can we open the lid?" Ely walked around the blue crystal coffin as she tried to inspect it more closely. She also used her Sacred Vision, but some obstructions obscured her view.
Even so, she could faintly feel Zi Xuan’s spiritual aura inside that coffin.
"Can we give it a try?" Evelyn proposed an idea.
"OK." Ely took a few steps back, letting her friends try to do something to open the coffin.
Evelyn glanced at Kirara and then nodded. They were experienced when it came to coffins, and they probably could do something with this magnificent crystal coffin.
Evelyn and Kirara stood on either side of the coffin. They were looking for something, then tried to open the lid.
"???" Evelyn was surprised when she found the lid didn’t budge even though she exerted her 8th Rank power.
"You can’t open it. That blue crystal coffin is a unique, sealing-type Heavenly-tier holy treasure. Unless it recognizes your capabilities and purity, no one can move it, let alone open it." Yuuki commented after carefully examining the coffin.
"Master, what are your instructions?" Gabriella asked because she wanted to help.
"Let me try to open it first." Ely tapped her chin, then raised her hand. She put Sakura to her head, then approached the coffin.
Everyone stepped back and watched from the corner of the room as if afraid to interrupt what Ely was about to do.
"I have come to help you as I promised. Please relax your mind." Ely put her hands together as if reciting a mantra.
She rubbed her hands together, then put on the gloves. This blue crystal coffin’s surface was pretty cold.
"Hnggh!" Ely tried to pull the coffin’s lid as hard as she could, but nothing happened... the lid didn’t move.
After half a minute of trying, she stopped, somewhat out of breath. She forgot that her physical strength was so pathetic.
"Phew..." Ely heaved a subtle sigh. Her hands remained on the coffin’s lid, giving an accidental gentle push.
The blue crystal coffin lit up slightly, and the white circuit emerged on its surface, spreading in all directions. By the time it dimmed, the lid slightly shifted to the side.
"Huh?" Ely was stunned for a moment as she felt amused by that realization. She should have pushed the lid, not pulled it.
Therefore, she continued to push the lid. Several bright blue spells and formation arrays covered the coffin’s interior. However, they deactivated themselves when Ely’s hand hovered near each of them.
A young, ethereal beauty in a pure white outfit soon came into view. This girl was identical to Zi Xuan but more colorful and not semi-transparent.
The girl’s long pastel pink hair flowed down to her knees. Her fair skin was flawless but so pale, like a vampire. Despite having lived for thousands of years, Zi Xuan looked like a teenage girl at twelve.
Zi Xuan slept in this coffin for many thousand years. She was sealed in a clasped hands position as if she was praying over something in her sleep.
Zi Xuan’s appearance reminded Ely of Mingyue. Yet, Zi Xuan possessed an inexplicable delicate, ethereal beauty... as one could expect from an Immortal Saintess from the upper realm.
"She’s not breathing, and her heart isn’t beating, but she’s still alive..." Ely tried to check Zi Xuan’s condition using her Sacred Vision. Yet, a status screen suddenly popped out before her vision.
[Zi Xuan (FV: 5690) | 12th Rank Mid Stage]
[Favorability: 85%]
[Talent: 5 Stars | UR]
It was indeed Zi Xuan, without a doubt.
Ely brushed the other detail aside to peer deeper at Zi Xuan’s energy flows and deep into one’s soul.
Zi Xuan’s spiritual flows were faint but erratic. Not to mention, many strange contaminations and curses had spread over Zi Xuan’s delicate body.
Even so, Zi Xuan’s divine gold soul was pure, untouched by any stain.
After confirming that, Ely performed an emergency medical aid using her healing and purification techniques.
The potent contamination and curses were unsealed along with the freed saintess, but Ely’s Mortal Field and skills suppressed them into oblivion. She eliminated them gradually until they faded into nothingness.
It only took Ely fifteen minutes to work things out.
Rafaela wiped her master’s sweat with a handkerchief.
"Phew..." Ely put down her silver acupuncture needles and breathed a sigh of relief. Follow-up medical procedures had been completed successfully.
She looked to the side. Only her healer disciples remained in the room. Yuuki guarded the door, and the others waited outside the room.
"Aa, uh-uhm..."
A faint groan could be heard from the blue crystal coffin. Zi Xuan woke up from her deep, long slumber. After her body had been sealed for thousands of years, the first person she saw with her eyes was Ely. Ely unsealed her body and cured her strange sickness!
"Welcome back~" Ely greeted with a warm smile.
