My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 192: Smol Elysia

Chapter 192: Smol Elysia

Elysia opened her dazzling purplish-blue eyes after a full day of deep slumber.

The glowing crystals illuminated the cave chamber with soft light, providing a touch of reverence.

Elysia’s eyes resembled the brilliance of an endless universe, but her vision was still a bit blurry. She felt no pain anymore. Her mortal injuries healed, leaving the spiritual damage to be dealt with.

She then scanned her surroundings and found Zera sitting cross-legged beside her, meditating silently.

’The backlashes and repercussions are pretty troublesome. But, at least it doesn’t hurt anymore.’ Elysia muttered in her mind. She was fully aware that God Mode Fusion was a risky, high-level, unique technique.

She recalled the event before she had to seal herself five years ago because of the potent curse in her weakened state. Her enemy at that time was only one, but the super difficult one.

Seven Goddesses combined their powers and fought enemies as one union. They almost lost despite the God Mode Fusion multiplier reaching the unknown realm.

’If it wasn’t for Sera, the Seraph of the End... the results might have been different, and Vrelenia might have been swallowed up by that Ruvoid God. Let’s hope Vrelenia becomes prosperous and remains safe.’ Elysia clasped her hands in prayer.

At that moment, she noticed something strange.

Her divine dress had become too big. It was like a blanket wrapped around her body instead. Also, her hands became so tiny, like a baby, and her body became a smol one...

Upon that realization, Elysia came to one understanding. ’This is Goddess of Nature’s innate power-saving technique. My body receives heavy backlashes, and this power-saving technique is active when I am unconscious...’

Elysia glanced up slightly. The four-pointed star twin halo and the Primordial Gem still floated above her head, remaining transparent.

’This Primogem was fused with that large Primordial Star that brought us to this world. It’s not going to knock me unconscious again, is it?’ Elysia asked in wonder. She waited a few seconds, and the Primordial Gem did not respond. Thus, she heaved a sigh of relief.

"You have recovered, Goddess Elysia?" Zera was a bit perplexed at the sight of baby Elysia.

"Mm... I’m fine, thank you, Zera. This world’s Heavenly Dao planned something for us through my plushie avatar." Elysia put her divine dress into her divine bracelet.

She put all her artifacts into her storage space, the full version of subspace. Afterward, she took a small baby clothing that fit her current body size.

"???" Elysia sensed something and slapped the thin air. The spiritual energy disturbance outside Zera’s barrier then vanished.

Even though the divine light censorship covered her private parts, no one could peek when she changed her clothes, especially outsiders.

"H-huh?" Elysia was a bit troubled. She was like a toddler under five years old, and she had difficulty wearing her clothes by herself.

If she thought about it, she would probably need at least two weeks to one month to fully recover before returning to her prime condition. At that period, she would live as a baby and had to refrain herself from using her magical power.

Elysia felt a bit embarrassed. She stared at Zera with a sparkling baby gaze, expecting help without needing to speak.

*Pang*

"..." Zera put her hand to her chest as she felt a mental arrow that seemed to pierce her heart.

She would do whatever Elysia asked, but that sparkling baby gaze and Elysia’s adorable appearance truly hit her heart differently. It sparkled something unknown, and she almost couldn’t resist the urge to hug her baby master.

Zera helped Elysia to wear that baby clothing. She then could justify her action to hug the baby Elysia with utmost tender care as she was afraid to injure the baby in her arms.

For a divinity that knew nothing but to destroy things, this kind of experience was a challenge that had never happened before, but she didn’t hate it.

"Are those voices still bothering you?" Elysia stroked Zera’s cheek.

"..." Zera trembled a little. She was fully aware her Goddess Master, Elysia, would know everything down to the tiniest detail. There were almost no secrets between her and the Elysium’s seven Goddesses.

"Yes... but the other six fragments within me still behave well. As long as you’re alive and prosperous, they won’t dare to do anything against you." Zera avoided Elysia’s gaze.

"What are your plans? Do you need my help?" Elysia was concerned.

"Please give me some time. I will fully refine the other fragments into one unity. I am Zera. That is the name you blessed me with." Zera regained her composure right after. Her face was void of expression, but there was a hint of faith and determination.

"You have all the time you want. However, our promise still stands, alright? I’ll be sad if you turn your back at this stage." Elysia wrapped her arms around Zera’s neck and whispered beside Zera’s ear.

"Understood." Zera looked down a little.

"Can we please leave here and return to the shrine abode? This cave is the piece of a heavenly cultivation chamber, but we are always being watched here." Elysia looked up.

She would like to handle the upcoming matters, but there was something she urgently had to do as soon as possible. Her Goddess friends were still in deep slumber, waiting for her help.

"Can I destroy this cave abode to ensure those things don’t annoy us?" Zera noticed a lot of strange and unknown spiritual energy lurking around, so she erected a potent barrier.

"Even though Heavenly Dao and his accomplices have some ulterior motives, they have helped us by bringing spiritual energy from the upper world for us. Not to mention, they helped my avatar.

They will keep watching us periodically from the upper realm, but they should know our bottom line. Their laws are rooted in those crystals. They are the catalysts. Please bring them with us." Elysia explained a bit, then glanced at the surrounding crystals with her Eyes of Truth.

"Affirmatives." Zera stood up and revoked her barrier. She swept her hand to the side, and all the crystals in that cave chamber suddenly disappeared into the void.

That place soon lost its splendor and brilliance, reduced to an ordinary underground cave chamber.

*Swoosh*

Zera flew up, through the tunnel, out of the hole, and set foot on the Sacred Mountain’s summit.

She was greeted by the sight of a tent interior. She could sense the nine-tailed snow fox, Yuuki was arranging something outside the tent, and the lightning human girl, Evelyn, was drinking a glass of juice on the lounge chair at the tent’s entrance. They guarded this place from disturbance.

"Eh?" Evelyn was stunned when an evil jade beauty suddenly walked past her from behind.

She put down the juice and then took off her sunglasses. It was Zera.

Evelyn ran into the tent and looked through the big hole in the ground. The cave chamber at the bottom was so dark, and nobody was down there. Therefore, she rushed outside, chasing Zera to the shrine abode.

Yuuki noticed that Zera had come out of the underground cave chamber, carrying the baby Elysia in her arms. She left whatever she was doing behind and rushed after Zera. The nearby disciples also went after her, perplexed about why that adorable baby truly resembled their master.

Sometime later, Sylvia returned to the Sacred Mountain with Gabriella by her side.

They had just dealt with the two fierce dragon friends who had just arrived. Those little dragons were still walking leisurely towards the Sacred Mountain’s summit as they had to prepare themselves before meeting Elysia.

Therefore, Sylvia left Noir to accompany them and immediately returned to the summit with Gabriella. However, they were surprised because no disciples were standing guard around the tent. Yuuki and Evelyn also couldn’t be seen anywhere.

"Where did everyone go? They can’t even guard a place for five minutes?" Sylvia pursed her lips in dissatisfaction and rushed into the tent.

Gabriella looked left and right as she knew everyone couldn’t possibly leave this place unguarded like this. After all, their master was still recovering in the underground cave chamber, the former sacred ground.

"That witch... She has come out of the underground cave chamber with Ely. Where is she now? Oh, they are in the shrine abode." Sylvia came out of the tent with big strides. She scanned her surroundings and then rushed into the shrine abode.

"Phew..." Gabriella breathed a sigh of relief. Zera didn’t take their master away like yesterday. She then went to meet everyone at the shrine abode.

Under the warm sunlight in the middle of winter, Elysia’s return brought back a happy news that immediately enveloped the Sacred Mountain with a pleasant aura with a calming effect that could soothe one’s soul.

Many people were still waiting to visit Sacred Sakura, and many powerful groups were already on their way to the Sacred Mountain location. Some factions came from the other worlds, beyond the Terra World’s boundary, bringing their armies and fleets with them.
