Chapter 200: Simple Test of Intent

Three days had passed since the divine light pillar phenomenon, and the time for the visitors finally arrived. Sacred Sakura Holy Land opened its gates for visitors to visit.

More than one hundred and seventy factions sent their representatives. Their pretext was to visit the injured Sacred Sakura Saintess and offer some gifts for her recovery. Yet, their original goal was to gather more information about Sacred Sakura.

Because each group had at least ten to twenty people, Sacred Sakura’s disciples announced that Sacred Mountain could only allow ten groups of visitors to come at one time based on queue.

"Esteemed guests from groups one to ten, please board the elemental clouds." Bai Yuchen ushered the visitors to board the clouds.

It genuinely made him a bit nervous because too many 8th Rank powerhouses and above wanted to visit. Even though they were still well-behaved, he had to put up his guard all the time because they were still influential outsiders with ulterior motives. Not to mention, the Ancient Night Demon was also there!

She boarded the elemental cloud for her group.

After that, a disciple controlled the cloud and flew towards the seven great mountains at a speed of 200 kmph. It would take them an hour before arriving at their destination, but no one complained.

"Hmm?" Abraham noticed a small mountain in the middle of the seven great mountain formations.

"It’s at the summit. Please walk through the path and stairs over there. Follow the toori gates until you reach the top. Our saintess does not welcome guests with malice toward us. If you harbor one, you better eliminate that thought before you suffer."

The disciple gave a warning in a calm tone. He didn’t care whether the visitors were Deities or just some random person. Anyone with malice would suffer on this Sacred Mountain without exception.

After saying that, the elemental cloud vanished, and he gathered with his fellow disciples near the first toori gate.

"Summit? We need to walk?" Skyla raised her eyebrows and looked at the mountaintop.

She noticed the beautiful pink tree at the summit. It gave her some eerie-like feeling as if that tree made her feel a bit scared.

"Yes. If you harbor no evil toward our Sacred Sakura, you may pass and gain some insight on your journey to the summit.

"Your spirit may receive an enlightenment."

"Please go ahead and climb to the top. Our saintess has been waiting for your arrival."

Several other disciples gave a little suggestion to visitors before leaving them at the mountain foot.

"I see... so this is a test for any guest to receive the qualifications to visit the Sacred Sakura Holy Land. I understand. Let this old man take the lead."

The courteous human elder from one of the human groups took his first step and passed through the first toori gate. He received no obstacle or suppression. Thus, he signaled his group to follow in his footsteps.

Unfortunately, one of his group members fell to the ground shortly after he passed the first toori gate.

"You, moron! What kind of evil intentions do you harbor deep in your mind!?" The courteous human elder lost his composure. His calm vanished, and wrath soon enveloped him.

Embarrassment and awkwardness soon came because his people were proven guilty despite the previous warning.

"What!? Hey, I didn’t harbor any evil intentions towards the Sacred Sakura Holy Saintess or anything!" The person on the ground tried to give an excuse, but the Sacred Sakura’s disciples didn’t believe it.

"My apologies, but you are not permitted to advance any further. You will die if you push your luck. Please wait at that hut until your group returns." Azrael dragged the fallen person down the stairs and pointed to a nearby hut.

He then signaled the remaining people who had successfully passed through the toori gate to continue their journey.

"Kekeke! What is malicious intent? I am Young Master Wakai Akuma’s friend. We once shared the toast together. He should hold a feast for me, and I shall find him now to celebrate my recovery!" The vampire gentleman laughed out loud and stepped through the first toori gate without any obstacles.

He advanced further without looking back as if he didn’t care about his demon group.

"Well then, we need to try it. However, ensure your thought hold no harm to Sacred Sakura. This Sacred Mountain is watched over by several Deities and Gods..." Abraham heaved a subtle sigh to regain his composure.

After he rearranged his thoughts, he went through the first toori gate. He passed it without a hitch and waited for his people to follow him.

Skyla gulped her saliva nervously. She came here because her ancestor master invited her. However, she wanted to find her fiance and repair their relationship by starting things over.

She jumped up and received no obstruction, let alone any punishment. It was smooth, making her pretty happy that she passed that simple test easily.

A few moments later, more than sixty visitors from the first ten groups failed to pass through the first toori gate. They were not allowed to visit the Sacred Mountain and needed to wait in the nearby hut.

The failed entries reached almost half of the initial batch, and some visitors decided to stop midway to gain some enlightenment about their cultivation. Therefore, the second batch of another ten groups was picked up and taken to Sacred Mountain.

"Why are there so many grumbling people over there?" Mingyue wondered what happened to the dozens of disgruntled people around the hut.

"They failed the preliminary test and cannot visit our Sacred Mountain." The nearby disciple responded.

She then announced the rules before the guests could visit Sacred Sakura Holy Land. Those with malice were not allowed even to take a single step to Sacred Mountain.

"This is like the test of faith, will, and intention. Saintes Miko has just recovered, and of course, Sacred Sakura will not allow just anyone to visit their holy land." Meiying muttered softly and nodded in understanding about the current situation.

She then looked at her guards and escorts. Her group was pretty big, and she didn’t want everyone to come with her to visit her friend.
