Chapter 216: Return Before Sunset

When the sun shifted to the western horizon, the sky gradually turned twilight orange. The guests had already left the Sacred Mountain and taken a safe distance on one of the great mountain peaks.

Based on Saintess Miko’s response, the path to Heaven would be opened this evening, and they were ready to witness the heavenly ascension phenomenon to broaden their horizon.

While everyone was waiting in serenity, a particular flying artifact approached quickly from the eastern sky.

Someone asked, and the others responded. They felt no threat, and their gut said it was another Sacred Sakura member returning home.

Therefore, nobody tried to do anything as everything was still peaceful. They returned to observing the Sacred Sakura’s peak with interest.

Even though they couldn’t see the shrine abode and the Sacred Sakura Tree because of the Sacred Sakura’s protective array, they were still eagerly awaiting the heavenly ascension phenomenon.

Luna drove her fastest aircraft at maximum speed and pushed it beyond the limit.

Lynn and Yusagi almost fainted because they were overwhelmed to ensure the machines and mechanisms didn’t explode on the way.

They crossed the great distance in just a few hours because Luna didn’t want to miss the event where their master became a baby.

The aircraft landed at a vacant spot on the mountainside, but the engines started making strange loud noises. Hot smoke rose, and fire started to burn.

Luna, Lynn, and Yusagi immediately came out of the cockpit with sweat-soaked outfits.

"Phew, it’s like being stuck in a sauna for hours. I’m dead. I thought we were going to die..." Lynn staggered and leaned against Yusagi.

"Fufu, we won’t die even if we are engulfed in an explosion. Worry not. Mom shall protect you~" Luna chuckled lightly.

"Super Aircraft 01 has reached its utmost limit. Thank you for your service." Yusagi saluted toward the burning aircraft and then supported her princess carefully.

"You! Did you bring a bomb here!? That big thing is burning and about to explode! Put it out. Extinguish it, everyone!" The eagleman flew over, bringing a lot of snow. He dumped the snow to bury the overheating aircraft.

Many forest dwellers immediately dumped lots of snow and poured tons of ice water onto the burning aircraft. Some beasts with water and ice abilities also tried their best to extinguish the fire to avoid an explosion in their Sacred Mountain.

A few moments later, the explosion was successfully prevented, and the aircraft froze in a big chunk of ice.

"You crazy women. Are you Sacred Sakura’s distant members or other guests?" The sea eagle crossed his arms over his chest, feeling super irritated.

The three ladies before him were all peerless beauties with profound cultivation bases. Two bluish-white vixens and one white bunny. Even so, he was unfazed. The situation just now truly disrespected their sacred land.

"O-ya~ Ely, I mean, Miko is sure to have a lot of new faces here. Pleased to meet you, eagle gentleman. Our aircraft is burning due to some accidents. Thank you for extinguishing the fire, everyone." Luna expressed her gratitude and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Well, you are one of us... Anyway, don’t do it again! Shrine Priestess Miko and the others are at the shrine abode. Please proceed to the summit via the path over there." The sea eagle sighed and pointed to the path with many toori gates leading to the Sacred Sakura’s summit.

"Well then, we shall bid our farewell." Luna raised her hand in farewell. She summoned a feather-like floating board, and her group of three went to the summit.

"Boss, it’s another vixen. If we count Lady Kitsune and Elder Yuuki, that’s already four foxkins." The nearby golden pig wiped his sweat. Their gathering ground was almost damaged because of those people’s arrival.

"Yeah, it’s three foxkins. Lady Kitsune is an exception. Hey, I heard rumors from some disciples. We will cause a stir for our future training arc involving the hidden foxkins." The sea eagle stroked its beak in wonder.

"Hehe, is it because of them? Are we going to get lots of vixen members soon?"

"Alright, the matter here is resolved. Go back to your guard posts. There are still some guests lurking around our mountain, and some new foreigners might come to cause trouble. You know what to do to such people, keke..."

The sea eagle turned around, giving instructions like a gang leader. He could see everyone was excited for their future training arc.

The nearby forest dwellers chatted briefly before they returned to their guard posts.

Zera considered several things while seeing Yuuki gently combing Elysia’s long black hair. She then reached out her hand to Miko. "Give me a comb."

"Here." Miko simply gave what Zera asked for.

Zera then stood beside Yuuki and shoved Yuuki aside with a sway of her hip. She was right behind her master and started combing her master’s long hair.

"Erm, do you know how to comb someone’s hair and style it?" Yuuki was speechless, but she began to understand Zera’s nature and personality.

"I can comb it into her usual waterfall hairstyle." Zera knew she wasn’t proficient in this aspect but was familiar with her master’s usual simple hairstyle. She only had to ensure every strand of hair was straight and neat.

"You see, we can solve it without having to do this. Magic makes everything easy. Unfortunately, it’s not about the results but the process. Our master enjoys our care and gentle touches." Yuuki explained a little about the secret behind this skinship.

"Is that true?" Zera looked at Elysia’s face in the mirror.

"It’s all thanks to you, master." Zera looked at her hands, then combed her master’s hair gently.

Yuuki and Miko looked at each other. They divided the task of tidying Elysia’s baby dress and moisturizing Elysia’s baby skin.

Miko wished to hold a girls-only hot spring event this evening, especially when their Goddess Master was still a baby. It was for a commemorative event because they couldn’t ask their master to stay as a baby forever.

Luna had also just returned. Elysium’s members had gathered at the shrine abode, except Lixue.

"Uhm, I think that’s enough. It’s just soaking in a hot spring. I’ve recovered most of my divine power, and there shouldn’t be any problems with my body and skin." Elysia was amused by Miko’s enthusiasm.

Elysia allowed Zera, Yuuki, and Miko to finish what they started. It only lasted three minutes, and Miko carried her out of humble abode to meet Luna’s group.

This evening was her last moment to stay as a baby. However, she got a new baby doll outfit and braid hairstyle. Her body fragrance was still the same because the perfume or lotion applied to her skin was pale to her naturally fragrant divine body constitution.

"Oh my, oh my~" Luna covered her mouth and rushed over.

The Shrine Priestess Miko was Elysia’s avatar, but the adorable baby in Miko’s arms was clearly the real Elysia.

Luna was shocked because her master couldn’t be so cute. Her heart was racing, but she tried to remain calm. Although, she couldn’t hide her excitement from her face. The baby Elysia was adorable, and the efforts to return at the fastest speed were worth it.

Yusagi spoke nothing, but she paid her utmost respect to Goddess Elysia.

"Master Ely~ We’re back. We can finally meet you again. Thank God, you are healthy and safe..." Lynn wiped tears from the corners of her eyes. She was glad to meet Elysia again.

Everyone searched for their Goddess from the three mortal worlds for years, and Elysia finally returned to their side. That made her a bit emotional.

"Thank God? But we have no God. Only Goddess Elysia and her Goddess sisters." Zera stated the obvious, and that made Lynn a bit awkward.

Luna ignored everything and hugged Miko, then went down to baby Elysia. At the same time, she received some head pats of comfort.

"Yeah, welcome back." Elysia welcomed Luna, Lynn, and Yusagi with a warm smile. She offered them some head pats, and they accepted it happily.
