Scarlet arrived at the city wall, observing the enemies in the distance. She tapped her golden trident once after confirming the estimated number of enemies that might be a threat.

’The Sea Emperor cannot be seen. They did come in waves with the main army at the back. These sea warriors are nothing more than cannon fooders to test the depths of the water.’ Scarlet reported the situation to her Goddess via telepathy.

’Alright, I will let you test your new weaponry and war strategy to defeat them. The Generals were at the 7th Rank, and most troops were at the 4th Rank. Let them know that you are the honorable warriors.’ Elysia crossed her arms above the palace tower.

The enemy only numbered less than five hundred, and she believed the mermaids could handle them easily.

’Your challenge is not to let any of your troops die~’ Miko waved her hand at Scarlet.

’Affirmative.’ Scarlet nodded in understanding. Their Goddess wouldn’t get involved when the enemy was just a bunch of weaklings. Regardless, this would become an excellent opportunity to test her troops’ new combat power.

"You stinky fish with no manners or dignity. Since you came to invade us, then we will destroy you without mercy. Prepare for war!" Scarlet raised her high royal trident.

The mermaid warriors and other sea dweller knights shouted with their warcry.

"Just a bunch of stupid slaves and an arrogant revolutionary army! You get a few small reinforcements, never knowing the true depths of the ocean. Then, on the orders of our Sea Emperor, we will destroy the Mermaid Kingdom! Attack!"

The General in charge of the vanguard troops shouted and rushed to invade the Mermaid Kingdom. Yet, several invisible mines suddenly exploded near them.

Several other explosions followed, disrupting their formation. Some immediately became grilled fish on the spot, and others became burnt fish or exploded into minced fish.

The defenders took advantage of the opportunity to take out their water pressure cannons and other advanced weaponry, raining heavy fire on the enemy troops.

Not satisfied, several mermaids launched the missiles to destroy the elite troops behind the enemy formation, targeting the enemy’s Generals.

The battle ended five minutes after the war was declared. Only about three hundred enemies survived the onslaught and were held as war prisoners.

Some war prisoners begged for mercy and forgiveness, but others cursed the surrounding people arrogantly.

"Full of deceit. Your accumulated sins are quite heavy, but it is not worthy of the death penalty. You will not be killed but deserve to live the rest of your life as ordinary mortals. Return to your state of origin, O fish and aquatic creatures." Elysia cast her divine magic.

She took away the war prisoners’ vitality and spiritual energy, then damaged their dantian and meridians.

"What letter did you send? We have to wait, and they will definitely come to attack us." Fortuna blinked her eyes in astonishment.

"Yup." Nell nodded in confirmation.

"Little one, it looks like we need to do something with your fairy body sooner. I sometimes fail to notice your presence because of your tiny body size. You are a Human Goddess but trapped in fairy form. We shall fix it soon~" Elena tried to catch Nell, but the little fairy immediately hid in Elysia’s long hair.

"No, thanks. This fairy form is pretty good. I don’t intend to find a way to return to my human form yet." Nell stuck out her tongue. She could tell Elena would bully her if she could return to her human form.

"Okay, don’t make a fuss. Everyone, we need to prepare to welcome and punish the evildoers." Elysia called out to everyone.

Everyone rushed to alert and prepared to attack the enemy’s main force.

However, that was after the Sea God defeated the said Goddess and tasted her. The Ugrasta Sea Emperor licked his lips as he imagined that glorious achievement.

"Hahaha, what a cheap provocation, Mermaid Queen Scarlet! We have come with our full force to destroy your newly established kingdom today! Not even your Goddess can save you and the mermaids!" The Ugrasta Sea Emperor raised his golden cane high.

"Roar!"

The 9th and 10th Rank sea monsters under his command roared in response to his call. His imperial troops shouted with their warcry, and his people raised their weapons, ready to attack the Mermaid Kingdom’s stronghold.
