My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 285: We Need to Interfere

Chapter 285: We Need to Interfere

"The Blood Moon Pavilion’s traitor, you are currently surrounded! Come out of hiding and return the Blood Moon Saintess to us right now, or we won’t be polite!" The General shouted out loud. His voice echoed tens of kilometers away.

The Demon King Slayer Squad came with their full force. More than four hundred experts had surrounded the Buxtonas Slopes, ensuring their targets wouldn’t escape.

Since such a powerful force openly surrounded a large area at dusk, many cultivators who happened to be nearby became intrigued. They rushed over to watch what might be happening on the Buxtonas Slopes.

"Hey, did you hear that? A traitor from the Blood Moon Pavilion seems to have just kidnapped the Blood Moon Saintess."

"But, that flag and emblem... they are the Blood Demon King Slayer Squad. One of the Blood Moon Sovereign’s strongest forces."

"The last time they took action, they shook the western region to eradicate the supervillain known as the Urbanda Netherworld Demon Deity."

"Oh, dear God! The Blood Moon Sovereign dispatched this mighty force, but who is their target of extermination now?"

"That person will die for sure."

"Then, isn’t the Deity Slayer Squad more worthy than a Demon King?"

"This is the Blood Moon Pavilion. One of the sacred lands on our continent."

"The holy and sacred sects have become active lately. The wind is blowing, and the world will change."

Several cultivators flew closer to the Buxtonas Slopes. Rumors and gossip emerged as more people gathered around the safe zone near the slopes area.

The mentioned traitor group came out of their hideout a few seconds later.

Everyone was shocked because she was the blood moon top beauty, the Blood Empress! The Blood Moon Saintess was also there.

"Hee~ then what will the Demon King Slayer Squad do? My servants and I are only seven, and to think the Blood Moon Sovereign sent a full four hundred experts led by you, General Jiang." Xue flew out of her hideout, followed by her servants and Mingyue.

"We will drag you back to the sect. You shall receive the punishment for your betrayal of the sect. You kidnapped our saintess. Be obedient and follow us, or don’t blame us for using violence." General Jiang pointed his spear toward the approaching group.

He squinted his eyes because the Blood Empress looked healthy without the slightest injury, unlike what was stated in the report. She also seemed so confident, even though her group was outnumbered and surrounded and would be at a disadvantage.

"Then show me your might. Come to me individually, as it would be unsightly for a renowned Great Ascension Realm expert like you to bully a little girl like me with numbers." Xue unsheathed her blood-red sword.

"Blood Moon Saintess, fortunately, you are fine. We will take care of that traitor and her servants." General Jiang signaled his men to move. Their first objective was the Blood Moon Saintess, and then they would handle the tractor and her servants.

"Do I look like a hostage to you? Bring it on. Take us back by force if necessary." Mingyue also unsheathed her treasured sword.

"Do you want to rebel?" General Jiang frowned. He never expected the usually obedient princess to be influenced by the traitor.

"Our dao remains in the blood moon. The blood-red moons and the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm remain in our hearts, but we must teach our father a lesson." Mingyue pursed her lips. She would try to be a bad girl, the rebellious one.

"Then, please pardon our rudeness. You will be subject to family punishment as well. The Blood Moon Sovereign shall discipline you later. Men, get them." General Jiang gave the signal.

Seven 8th Rank experts immediately made their moves to confront Feng Xue’s group, and two 5th Rank experts went to capture the rebellious saintess.

*Boom*

Xue and her servants flew forward. They clashed with the enemies away from Mingyue.

"Please be obedient and follow us back to the palace, miss."

"Please don’t make our situation difficult."

The two 5th Rank experts tried to persuade their saintess as they knew they would be punished if the treasured princess was injured because of them.

"Don’t underestimate me. Beware that you might get hurt. Blood Moon’s third move, Moon of Nightmare!" Mingyue raised her two fingers forward and swung her sword in a half circle to execute her technique.

*Slash* *Bam*

The two experts also released their techniques to clash with Mingyue’s.

The battle took place for five minutes, but the number of opponents increased until one person needed to face at least six people at once.

Xue was starting to get overwhelmed. She could no longer attack and could only focus on defending due to the intense attacks from three 8th Rank experts and four 7th Rank experts at once.

She withdrew and regrouped with her servants. She then activated their combination technique. "Protective Technique Ninth Move, Scarlet Moon Dome."

A fake blood moon began to envelop them like a semi-transparent barrier. Bright light and dozens of fiery blood flames swept around, repelling the four dozen people who surrounded them. Two dozen men were wounded because they failed to retreat in time.

"What about Mingyue?" Xue muttered softly and looked around.

Mingyue evaded the swift sword slash, leaving her afterimage. However, she found two strands of her semi-red pink hair cut off.

Two opponents came from behind, and she blocked them with her sword. However, an assassin suddenly appeared from the blood mist and punched her in the solar plexus.

"Khak!" Mingyue received the fatal blow. She held her stomach and channeled her spiritual energy to ensure her consciousness remained there.

Unfortunately, the opponents suddenly grabbed her limbs with their binding technique, tied her up, and then dropped her to the ground.

"Phew, we need a full 5th Rank team to take her down without injuries."

"Taking down the target without injuring her was truly a challenge. She’s not hurt, right?"

"What can we do? She is our saintess. But, to think you would launch a sneak attack with us as decoys..."

"Hehe, you struck her. Beware of her complaint and grievance when the Blood Moon Sovereign found out."

"The one who hit her was you, not me."

"Hey, that was the plan. We managed to catch her without hurting her. Do you want to sell me out to be punished alone? I’ll drag you with me then!"

The six experts were bickering a bit after they captured their saintess. Although, it didn’t last long before they took Mingyue away.

"Good job. Then, we need to crack that blood moon barrier." General Jiang gave a nod of approval.

Saintess Mingyue had already been captured, and that would only leave the Blood Empress and her servants.

"Please leave her to us." Miko reached out her hands to the warrior who was carrying Mingyue.

"Ah, okay..." The warrior felt it would be appropriate for a girl to be handled by girls. He used his wind technique to hand over Saintess Mingyue without hesitation.

"Eh?" The warrior realized something was wrong, but it was too late. The girl before him was clad in a white-red priestess outfit, not the blood moon special force’s scarlet outfit. She was also not part of the squad!

"Wow, to think the Blood Moon Pavilion would dispatch an extermination squad to solve family problems. The big elders now like to bully the juniors?"

"When the daughter and father have a dispute because of a personal problem, isn’t it best to resolve it in a family-friendly way?"

Sylvia and Gabriella feigned their surprise. They criticized how those experts bullied the Feng sisters.

"!?"

The Blood Moon’s experts were extremely shocked because they had just realized the presence of outsiders among them.

It was a 10th Rank high-devil, a 7th Rank royal elf, and a remarkable shrine priestess. Saintess Miko from the Sacred Sakura Holy Land!

"Esteemed Sacred Sakura Saintess, please leave our saintess to our care. We shall resolve our internal problems based on Blood Moon’s laws and orders. Please do not interfere." General Jiang grasped his fist to pay his respect.

He occasionally glanced at the high devil warily because he sensed danger from her aura alone.

"Then, there is the problem. Mingyue is my friend, but you treat her as a criminal. Say, what is her crime?" Miko wiped Mingyue’s droll. The previous blow was painful enough to send Mingyue half unconscious. Thus, she began to heal Mingyue to consciousness.

"She colluded with the traitor." General Jiang felt a bit troubled. Their saintess committed no crime, actually.

"Then, why do you label Miss Feng Xue as a traitor? What was her crime?" Miko pressed further.

"She stole the clan’s treasures and injured the sovereign." General Jiang revealed what he knew.

He still had no idea how the 8th Rank Blood Empress could injure the 10th Rank Blood Moon Sovereign and steal the treasures from the strongest person in the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm.

"She is strong enough to injure him? Does it deserve such a big reaction for you to move as if she were a public enemy? It’s a dispute between father and daughters. Regardless, let family matters be settled between them. We have to intervene here. Unless... you wanted to frame Miss Feng Xue to her death." Miko tapped her chin as if considering something.

"Please don’t make such a false accusation! This is an internal matter of Blood Moon Pavilion. Considering our good relationship and alliance, I hope you don’t interfere." General Jiang was displeased when his name was tarnished.

He began to consider the consequences. He would seize Saintess Mingyue, capture the Blood Empress with full power, and then leave the area swiftly.

He might offend the Sacred Sakura Saintess, but he had to ensure Saintess Miko wouldn’t change the outcome.
