Chapter 292: Faking the Heavenly Tribulation

Lixue initially thought the mentioned pest was him. Yet, it turned out to be the threats trying to wreak havoc in their master’s region.

He thought about his life once again, the reason why he had to serve Goddess Ely. Living in seclusion and lazing around with a massive treasure was so comfortable for him, so he couldn’t see the benefit of returning to being a pet.

Seeing Lixue’s reluctance, Yuuki heaved a subtle sigh and turned around. "I’ll tell master about this then. We will probably leave you in this world, for nobody cares. Say goodbye to the heavenly food and divine care."

"!!!" Lixue gasped in surprise.

He holed up himself for far too long. After he reached this world’s pinnacle, his strength caused his ignorance and arrogance to soar. He forgot his master was also so good to him.

Once he was expelled from the group, he would lose the heavenly opportunity, and it would lead to his greatest regret. Also, he was sure his master’s Goddess sisters would hunt him and kill him in secret without her knowledge.

"Let’s slay the pest! They are courting death for trying to invade our master’s yard!" Lixue was instantly filled with passion. He was ready to leave anytime.

"That’s good if you understand." Yuuki replied with a pleased expression.

She then climbed onto Lixue’s head, and the ice dragon flew back to the mainland. Lixue flew at maximum speed, crossing a distance of thousands of miles in just a few tens of minutes.

"What the. It’s so dark and stormy. Wait, the beautiful snowy terrain scenery is ravaged by volcanic fire and a sea of lava. Who is the sinner who did this?" Lixue grumbled at the sight of an unusual fiery region amidst the land of snow and ice.

He used his extreme ice breath to extinguish the fiery volcanic area. He accidentally froze the seriously injured demonic beasts around there.

"Keep your breath from that place. You will hit our people more than that." Yuuki stomped her foot on Lixue’s head to remind him.

"???" Lixue looked at the people near the volcanic area. Those humans and demihumans were clad in white-blue robes with pinkish flowery patterns, the Sacred Sakura’s people, his master’s minions.

He stopped his dragon breath and continued flying south to the super-dark region.

"It’s Lady Yuu-I mean Lady Gumiho!"

"She came with an ice dragon overlord from the extreme north!"

"I heard our sacred land has four dragon overlords. We’ve met three, and that one is definitely the fourth."

"That’s the dragons. We haven’t talked about the phoenixes and other legendary or divine beasts yet!"

"Those troublemakers will be done for sure, waiting to receive immediate punishment."

"Alright, now we need to guard the border. Don’t let any monsters get past us."

The disciples and forest dwellers clamored for attention as the massive ice dragon flew past them. However, the team leader spoke, and they immediately went back on guard, making sure no monsters got past them.

In the midst of the eternal darkness domain, a void dragon tore apart several 9th and 10th-rank monsters that challenged his authority.

"Roar!" Cherub roared loudly as a warning to the others.

Everything within a mile radius had been destroyed into dust in calamity flames. No creatures remained alive in that area.

Some brazen monsters ignored his warnings and attacked him like crazed beasts. Thus, he had no choice but to slaughter them in his armageddon raze with no mercy.

Hundreds of thousands of frightened living creatures in other areas could feel the terror even though they couldn’t see anything. They probably could witness something by channeling their primal qi into their eyes, but what awaited them was nothing but a terrifying nightmare.

Thus, they remained on the ground, trying to look small and harmless so the terrifying divine beast wouldn’t exterminate them like those dead meats.

The massive void dragon transformed into a phantom and scanned the surrounding area in the shadows.

He then flew past the void and arrived near the eye of the storm.

It was outside his domain, but his little comrades were caught in a fierce storm against the unknown. He wished to help them, but he couldn’t leave his guard post because he was responsible for guarding the entire southern border from the crazed monsters.

"Cherub." Yuuki called out through spiritual connection.

Lixue was very far up in the sky, not daring to enter his senior’s eternal darkness domain due to personal reasons.

"???" Cherub looked up. Yuuki and Lixue, the ice dragon, had just arrived.

"Please deactivate your domain and preserve your strength. The enemy boss hasn’t even appeared yet." Yuuki reminded one of their strongest forces with a concerned tone as she knew the storm was far from over.

Hearing that suggestion, Cherub nodded in understanding. He had to prepare himself in case a calamity beast kind of threat would arrive out of nowhere.

The eternal darkness vanished gradually, and the overcast sky returned to illuminate the extraordinarily silent land.

However, a commotion soon descended from the distant storm clouds. The lightning struck, and a big storm would soon arrive.

"Eve and Vann fought the storm with their storm, but they are now trying to force the perpetrator to fail to pass the tribulation. Can you absorb the heavenly tribulation? That’s another form of natural energy, right?" Yuuki proposed an idea while checking the Elysium Group Chat.

"!!!" Cherub was enlightened. It was a great idea.

He immediately flew high into the sky, passing through the clouds and horizon above the center of the southwest storm.

Heaven and the world’s laws were punishing the one who went against Heaven, showering the challenger with a heavenly tribulation.

However, a massive void dragon opened his mouth wide, creating a peanut-sized black hole in his mouth to suck in all the energy that the sky dropped on the earth.

"How dare you!" The heavenly spirit was about to punish the bold dragon. Yet, a pair of purplish-blue divine eyes suddenly appeared in the sky.

The heavenly spirit lost its wrath and got terrified instead. It immediately saluted to pay its respect and disappeared somewhere.

"Cough!"

The Mysterious Demon Deity enveloped in the spherical thunder seal coughed out of his original blood, receiving a fatal backlash from his failed tribulation.

"Damn it! It was to fake the ascension to summon heavenly tribulation, but why did I receive the fatal backlash?" The Mysterious Demon Deity could feel his cultivation got depleted and fell from the pinnacle to the 10th Rank Mid Stage in a breath.

"Goddammit! You will pay very dearly for this favor of mine, Feng bastard!" The Mysterious Demon Deity roared furiously at the empty air.

"Evildoer, the cause of calamity. Your sin for summoning the heavenly tribulation near our region is grave." Vanessa growled like an angry beast.

"You will pay for your actions. State your name and origin!" Evelyn enveloped her body in a thunderstorm coat, accumulating more calamity thunder in her hands, ready to strike the giant demon before her eyes.

"Heh, two female fries now dare to challenge me just with your shallow cultivation base?" The Mysterious Demon Deity sneered.

He could see these girls were just an 8th Rank human and a newly ascended 10th Rank tigress. Thus, he shrugged his shoulders. "Your region? The land belongs solely to the world. I received the enlightenment, and heavenly tribulation came uninvited. You should not put the blame on me."

It was unwise to engage in battle in his current condition. He could leave if he wanted, but he had to justify himself first.

"Four peak level Deities are inviting heavenly tribulation at the same time from four nearby places. All of you are suspicious. You have no other choice. Seal your cultivation and accept your punishment, or don’t blame us for being unpolite." Ella flew down with the other groups surrounding the giant bad demon.

The storm subsided, and they immediately broke through into the disaster center. There they were, facing the injured Demon Deity, who was previously one step away from crossing the mortal boundary.

These fierce girls sent themselves to him voluntarily, and he could use them to recover!

"The Heaven showed you the path, but you chose the hell. Then, we shall send you there!" Vanessa made her move with lightning speed, hitting the demon with a destructive calamity strike.

"!!!" The Mysterious Demon Deity gasped. He underestimated the tigress, but she was still weak in front of the true old monster.

The clashes went beyond the speed of lightning. The battle between Deities created an anti-gravity crater, sending anything on the ground into the air.

Evelyn, Ella, Gabriella, and many other experts soon joined hands to take down the enemy. Instead of a frontal attack, they chose the traps to assist Vanessa.

"!?" The Mysterious Demon Deity got his heart tossed around in a roller coaster.

He clashed with the 10th Rank tigress and was confident of winning, but it was never one vs one.

Evelyn, Ella, and Gabriella took the lead in bombarding the injured Deity, followed by dozens of other people.

"Take this!" Vanessa appeared amidst the bombardment to unleash her spiritual white tiger punch to hit the enemy right in the chest as the finishing blow, bypassing his defenses.

The deadly strike struck the demon, and he collapsed seconds later with severe internal injuries.
