My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 306: You Offer Yourself to Us

Chapter 306: You Offer Yourself to Us

"Miko, you can’t do this to me! Please consider it again." Mingyue entered the Guest Pavilion and knelt before Miko.

"Oh, why can’t we do it? Also, what do we need to reconsider?" Miko rested her head on her hand. She was aware of Mingyue’s misunderstanding but wanted to know what Mingyue had to offer.

"Please, I will do anything. Suppose Sacred Sakura gives the order to wipe out the Blood Moon Pavilion. In that case, many innocent people will die because of it." Mingyue tried to negotiate, but what she had prepared didn’t mean anything because Sacred Sakura intended to wipe out her home!

"So, you’re saying we need to let the matter go? Should we not strike back against the mastermind that brought ruin to the Sacred Sakura region? Over ten thousand creatures died in the last two weeks, and the real culprit was the Blood Moon Sovereign." Miko smiled faintly.

"I will do anything for you, but please! Are we still friends? I will give you whatever you want. My wealth, or everything. I will also ensure my father repents and pays the compensation that Sacred Sakura wants." Mingyue’s lips trembled, and her eyes were brimming with tears.

"How bold! You don’t even have the power to protect yourself." Gabriella felt offended by that claim. This Blood Moon Saintess was ungrateful for sure.

"You will do and give me anything? Does it come from your heart? You need to show us your sincerity." Miko raised her hand when her disciples and the other experts were about to make their move against Mingyue.

"..." Feng Xue stood behind her little sister in a defensive stance, ready to block anyone who wanted to harm her sister.

However, she felt something was wrong when she saw Miko’s serene expression and her little sister’s plight.

"Sincerity?" Mingyue looked at her surroundings. She barged into the middle of Sacred Sakura’s higher-ups without thinking twice. She heard Miko’s statement about wiping out her home.

She was surrounded by a hostile group. If she couldn’t fulfil Miko’s demand, it was hard to say whether she could leave alive.

She sobbed a little, and tears flowed down her cheeks when she realized Miko no longer considered her a friend. Sacred Sakura immensely helped her and her eldest sister, and she was ungrateful. She only wanted her homeland to remain safe. It might be too much, but she couldn’t see room for negotiation except for one thing.

Mingyue wiped her tears and raised her hand. "I swear under my soul and spirit. I shall fulfil all Sacred Sakura Goddess’ requests as long as Sacred Sakura spares my homeland and grants my requests."

*Rumble!*

Lightning rumbled in the night sky even though there were no clouds above.

"..." Miko didn’t know what to say. Mingyue had nothing to offer, but it was simply a desperate request that was not yet ripe.

"I didn’t know you would go that far, Mingyue. You see... my mama’s decision is final, but she will go straight to punish your father for his actions. I also need a reasonable reason to convince everyone to spare the Blood Moon Sovereign. Do you think we are being unreasonable?" Miko scratched her head before approaching Mingyue, helping the girl who was still kneeling to stand up.

"E-eh?"

"Huh?"

Both Feng Mingyue and Feng Xue were stunned after hearing that. It sounded a bit ridiculous, but Mingyue was the one who felt highly embarrassed a moment later.

"Did I embarrass myself and swear upon my soul unnecessarily?" Mingyue widened her eyes. Even though she felt embarrassed and pale from that realization, she still hoped her request would be fulfilled.

"Not really. We have bought you out, and you offer yourself to us, including your sister. Both of you are our agents. Also, Mingyue, you will not be able to betray us unless you want your soul to perish because of your vow. Please have a seat, and we will listen to your request." Miko invited Feng Xue and Feng Mingyue to sit down.

"..." Feng Xue and Feng Mingyue looked at each other, feeling somewhat confused at the sudden change in atmosphere.

"Also, I said we WON’T wipe out the Blood Moon Pavilion. You’re too rash to jump to conclusions, Mingyue." Miko returned to her seat, chuckling gracefully.

Everyone then lowered their stance towards the two Blood Moon princesses and listened to the mentioned request.

Feng Mingyue immediately conveyed her request to Miko, hoping the outcome of the counterattack would not be as terrible as she expected. She also tried her best to convince everyone with compensation in return.

Unfortunately, the final decision remained unchanged. The Sacred Sakura’s core elders, including the very influential leaders, were not even present there.

"That’s as far as we can go. We’re in a huge debt and gratitude right now. However, at least... the Blood Moon Pavilion won’t be wiped out." Feng Xue patted her little sister’s back.

"Yeah, this is the best we can do for our homeland. Sacred Sakura Goddess’ decision is final, and we can do nothing except minimize the impact." Mingyue nodded in reply.

After that, Feng Xue consoled her little sister. She tried to drag her little sister to rebel and separate themselves from that place.

"What about our siblings? If we leave, will he delegate his desires and needs to them?" Mingyue looked up, trying to find out the facts.

"It’s hard to say. He groomed the best and never touched the least. Also, he’s currently suffering from heavy backlash. I’m sure he’s currently holed up in seclusion, unknown to anyone." Feng Xue looked up at the sky in wonder.

"Ho-ho-ho! So, has the matter regarding the Blood Moon Pavilion reached the final decision? How about sharing a bit of the detail with us? It’s been long since I clashed with that half-blood demon." Klaus laughed as he approached.

"Sir Klaus, you say it as if we will have an all-out clash." Miko reprimanded the bloodthirsty vampire.

"No war? Are we going to forgive them? I think we’ll wipe out the Blood Moon Pavilion tomorrow morning." Abraham leaned his head back into his hands.

"Hmm, if you are confident in fighting an Ancient Immortal by cornering him, then go ahead, but the possibility that you will be wiped out is apparent. If you want to fight against a strong enemy, what if you face an Immortal Lord Phantom? My mama just captured that phantom thief. Or do you want to spar against her Goddess sisters in the void now?" Miko pointed to the faint dimensional crack in the sky.

"..." Abraham broke out in cold sweat. He had no idea how strong the people Miko was referring to, but it sounded like a threat. The dimensional crack in the sky also looked intimidating.

He could implicitly tell Miko to watch his mouth. It was also a warning, reminding them not to corner the Blood Moon Pavilion to a dead end. After all, a sacred land couldn’t just be wiped out without consequences. The Blood Moon Sovereign’s secrets were so deep, not to mention the Blood Moon Pavilion’s backers.

"Please have a seat. We will give you the report regarding our agenda and future events." Miko gave a signal, and her disciple ushered the guests down.

Klaus beckoned to the other demon kings to take their seats before sitting down. "Haha, no need to be so polite. How strong is that Ancient Immortal and Immortal Lord, Priestess Miko?"

"That’s 15th and 16th Rank." Miko shrugged her shoulders.

"You will die before you can blink if you face such an enemy, old nightmare." Klaus tried his best not to laugh when he saw Abraham’s troubled face.

Two minutes before Elysia unleashed her power to ambush the purple phantom thief, the said phantom lady was still recovering in an unknown dimension between the void and great emptiness.

She blamed the colourful crystal but couldn’t hide her joy because she managed to escape with the heavenly treasure.

Her divine power was depleted, she lost many artefacts, and she was also injured quite severely. It was a huge loss overall, but the heavenly treasure that she received would be worth her efforts and sacrifices.

"Keke, my achievements are truly amazing. The Agent of Heaven almost died in my hands, but who is that Abyss Goddess? Those little Goddesses are nothing, but why do I feel scared just by her presence?" The purple phantom muttered questioningly.

However, nobody could answer her question. She then felt it was the proper and safe time to enjoy the results of her hard work. Therefore, she removed the colourful heavenly crystal from her pocket dimension.

It was a beautiful treasure with countless and ever-changing colours of heavenly splendour. However, it soon shone super bright like a star, but what followed was nothing but a supermassive explosion.

Not only that, an unknown penetration force emerged out of the void, piercing her and sealing her in position.

"We’ve got you now." Ai emerged from the void, catching the purple phantom with her dark binding.

"You won’t be able to run anywhere." Zera restrained and slowly weakened the purple phantom with her curse.
