My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 387: Cube Island

Chapter 387: Cube Island

About 25 years ago, an injured angel fell into the mortal world and was saved by a human.

As a form of gratitude, she granted one of his wishes, but he proposed her to marriage, building a family. However, she could not leave her duty in Heaven forever.

After she gave birth to a child, she returned to Heaven. Kenji and his father hid the truth and concealed her disappearance with ’death’ after giving birth to Erina.

’Oh, wow...’ Elysia, Elena, and Ai could say nothing but amazement. They guessed Erina was a half-angel, but it was apparently closer to the truth.

’Then, where is Angel Nozomi currently located? Is she still at Shinou in 3rd Heaven?’ Elysia closed her eyes to hide her surprise.

’I don’t really know the accurate information. However, don’t set high expectations. Heaven was in chaos because of the otherworld divine beasts. There’s a big possibility that she’s no longer alive.’ Gaia reveals the bitter truth frankly.

’I see... if she has fallen, then she has entered the cycle of reincarnation and afterlife. Erina also doesn’t have any impressions about her mother, and she doesn’t miss her mother either. Should we just leave the situation like this?’ Elysia heaved a subtle sigh in her mind. She wouldn’t do anything about this then.

’Yes. Only the high-level God of Heaven can directly reincarnate or transmigrate to the mortal world.’ Gaia was happy that Elysia could understand.

"No, we don’t have any acquaintances named Nozomi." Elena shook her head.

"Is that so..." Kenji heaved a sigh, feeling a bit disappointed, but he regained his composure right away before his wife could notice it.

"Well then, Sir Kenji. It’s time for us to leave. I will bring Erina back before midnight. Oh, it would be best for the distinguished guests to stay overnight at Cube Island. You may bring Madam Yuuko with you. Anyway, see you soon." Elysia got up from her seat and took Erina away.

"See ya." Erina waved her hand in farewell.

Elena and Mio followed from behind and their group disappeared instantly with a poof.

"They..." Yuuko pointed to the last place where Erina and the others were standing. They disappeared like ghosts, and it scared her a bit.

"That’s normal for Guardian of Dream’s members. We are lucky to have Erina. With her around, we will be indirectly supported by the Guardian of Dream. Wait, I forgot to ask about Miss E." Kenji smacked his forehead.

"You’re thinking about other women again, huh? Who is Nozomi, and who is this Miss E again?" Yuuki pinched her husband’s arm.

"No, listen to me. They are people who have contributed greatly to our family. The former is my savior, and the latter is Erina’s best friend." Kenji hissed and rubbed his arm. His wife was still mid-class esper, but her pinch was pretty painful.

"Oh? Sorry, I misunderstood you. Does it hurt?" Yuuko felt guilty and immediately tried to relieve her husband’s pain.

"It’s okay. I will take you to Cube Island, but we need to choose the best assistant for this. Let’s get ready." Kenji checked his wristwatch and left, taking his wife’s hand.

"Alright." Yuuko hurried to follow her husband’s pace.

Meanwhile, Elysia’s group teleported to the middle of the Pacific Ocean, floating above the sea surface.

It was the location chosen by Gaia. The best spot to set up a place to mediate between the humans and monsters.

Elysia took out a black cube-shaped divine artifact from her inner space.

It was one of the gifts she got from the Quadtria’s Divine World. She would use this dungeon-type artifact as the Guardian of Dream’s base on Earth.

*Poof*

Elysia activated the dungeon-type artifact, and the little cube gradually grew in size.

Floating several tens of meters above sea level, loomed a colossal cube-shaped dungeon. Its imposing structure rose defiantly against the sky.

The dungeon’s exterior was an imposing sight to behold. Its smooth, obsidian-like surface gleaming in the sunlight. Rising hundreds of feet into the air, the cube-shaped structure dominated the surroundings, casting a long shadow over the sea below.

At each of the cube’s sides lay an intricate entrance, guarded by ornate gates and formidable barriers. Each entrance offered a different pathway into the dungeon’s depths.

Flanking the entrances stood towering guardian statues, depicting fearsome creatures and legendary warriors. These silent sentinels stood to watch over the dungeon gates.

Within the cube-shaped dungeon lay a labyrinthine network of corridors, chambers, and catacombs. Everything was still somewhat rough and unrefined by Elysium’s standards. A renovation had to be done.

"This is a dungeon... We need to do something about the deadly traps before we can use this as a base." Elena observed the cube-shaped dungeon’s interior with her eye ability.

"Yes, we need to re-shape this cube-shaped dungeon’s interiors first." Elysia nodded in agreement.

"Err, do we have to fly to get there?" Erina looked up with some consideration.

Guests would visit this place by plane or warship in the future, and they would need facilities to take them to the floating Cube Island.

"Hmm..." Elysia thought for a moment. The Cube Island’s upper side could be used as an airport, and the area beneath the island... she had to build a flexible harbor.

"I have some ideas for you." Gaia came out of Elysia’s shadow and outlined her ideas for the renovation.

Elysia didn’t consider anything else and handed over the command to Gaia. After that, Gaia controlled the Cube Island and reshaped it with her authority.

It took them three hours to finish everything. The Cube Island was renovated and could be used as a multi-purpose headquarters from now on.

The port was not built, but there was a mechanism that could work better to serve as a flexible harbor.

A small part of the Cube Island descended to the sea surface slowly. The entire lower side could come down to serve as a floating island, but a small part was enough for them now.

A small cube-like robot hologram then popped out, inviting the distinguished guests to board with a respectful gesture. "Welcome to the Cube Island. Please board the slab."

"Wonderful~" Elysia was happy because the mechanism worked perfectly. She swung her hand, bringing her group flying to the floating slab.

The slab then floated up to take the guests into Cube Island.

The first floor would be used for reception, administration, and miscellaneous transactions. The second floor was the chamber of commerce, used for exclusive purchases. The third floor had accommodation facilities with many rooms similar to a five-star hotel.

The fourth floor was filled with a grand meeting room, conference hall, auction chamber and other multi-purpose facilities

The fifth floor was a colosseum-like training ground. The sixth floor was a storage warehouse and special facilities with admin-level access. As for the seventh floor, it was similar to the first floor. After all, the guests could come from above, landing at the airport on Cube Island’s upper side.

Elysia checked the guest’s virtual screen once again, making sure the Cube Island’s shop feature held tons of items and materials that would make Earth’s humans and otherworld’s monsters prosper.

Items that guests would sell in the future for El-Coins would also be used to circulate items for resale. With systems and mechanisms that could operate independently, she could leave this Cube Island to develop by itself.

"Now it should be time for us to pick them up. Xentia and the others also want to renovate Cube Island." Elena checked Elysium Group Chat and read messages from other family members.

"Mm, it’s about time." Elysia scrolled the list and stopped at Xentia’s chat. Xentia wanted to build an interstellar-level supercomputer as well.

"Ely, shouldn’t we invite the otherworld’s monster side to tonight’s event? We can raise the issue of peace at once. Both sides also need to adapt and resolve their past grudges if necessary." Gaia raised her hand, proposing an idea.

Elysia was silent for a moment. She initially planned to hold the events at separate times because she thought both parties were not ready to confront each other with a good attitude. But with her family’s involvement as a mediator, perhaps it would be fine to throw the problem in the bud.

The reincarnators might also disagree and would create trouble. After all, she didn’t know what was hidden in everyone’s hearts.

"I’ve thought about it. It might be the best solution to bring the trouble and hassle right at the start." Elysia considered it and agreed with Gaia’s suggestion. It would be best to resolve everything ahead while she and her family were still on Earth.

"I know, right! Then, I will send an invitation letter to the leader-level otherworld monsters." Gaia was happy because Elysia accepted her suggestion. She opened her virtual screen, ready to send the letter to the high-level intelligence otherworld’s monsters in the lower sphere.

Gaia sent the letter through worlds laws after receiving Elysia’s approval.

"Wow..." Erina scrolled the list with sparkling eyes. The items in Cube Island’s shop truly caught her attention. She wanted to buy them all!

However, Elysia forbade her from buying anything because that shop was intended for the alliance members.

"You can get them for free later. Don’t be greedy." Elysia reminded Erina of a mother advising her daughter.

"Mm, alright." Erina nodded in understanding and looked at her surroundings. This Cube Island was similar to the cutting-edge facilities in the Superclass Mothership, but more futuristic.

"Let’s pick up our family members from Quadtria first. It’s about time for vacation." Elysia put her hands together, putting all the complicated tasks related to Quadtria’s Divine World in the queue.
