Chapter 430: The One We Needed

Bai Yuchen was sneaking around the mountain peak like a peeping tom. He held no ill intentions or attempted to spy on anyone, but he was purely curious because of several foxkin guests.

He tried to find Elder Kitsune, the only black fox in the Sacred Sakura Holy Land for a favor. Unfortunately, Elder Kitsune was very difficult to find. But, he didn’t dare to ask Elder Kitsune’s elder sister, Elder Gumiho, AKA Elder Yuuki. This nine-tailed snow fox was too cold, indifferent, unfriendly, and domineering.

"What are you doing here? Do you want to greet the disciplinary committee again, boy?" Ranee threw her spider web onto the suspicious disciple’s face, covering his eyes.

"E-ek?! You surprised me, Senior Ranee. Didn’t you see that I was watching those newcomers? They seemed to be new faces." Bai Yuchen gasped in surprise, but he stayed in his hiding place among the trees and bushes, monitoring the situation around the guest pavilion.

"Oh, that group of ten led by a white fox and a pink vixen... I heard they are representatives of the suppressed foxkin kingdom that was recently saved. Well, not all of them are foxkins, though." Ranee shrugged her shoulders and dragged the lurking disciple away from the mountain peak.

"Hey, wait." Bai Yuchen tried to reason, but he couldn’t tell his real intention. He wished to ask Elder Kitsune’s favor to concoct him some specific pills. She was known as the best alchemist in Sacred Sakura, and that was why!

At that moment, the Huli Kingdom’s representatives came out of the guest pavilion. Fox King Bai was still busy reading the membership scroll to make sure he understood the rules and regulations of an alliance member, and his wife was incredibly happy because of her recent recovery.

"We also need to find Yueyue quickly." Fox Queen Yun thought of her daughter. Worries soon enveloped her.

"We’ll conduct an in-depth search. Yao should still be in the Northern Realm." Fox King Bai reassured his wife.

"Lord Bai, should we return immediately, or stay here for a day or two?" One of the executives asked, but in his heart, he craved the second option.

As the guests and alliance members, they probably could stay in Sacred Mountain’s vicinity for several days. By being in such a holy land, they could cultivate ten times more effectively and perhaps achieve breakthroughs to the next rank!

"Our kingdom’s situation is still chaotic. We must immediately return and complete many precautions. Sacred Sakura Goddess has given us several hints and guidance. We should implement them as soon as possible." Fox King Bai took a deep breath, stating his intentions firmly.

Some people felt a little disappointed, but he soon reassured them that they still had another chance to be blessed by the Sacred Sakura Goddess and cultivate in the Sacred Sakura Holy Land.

"Fox King Bai?" Bai Yuchen in the distance accidentally eavesdropped on the conversation of the representatives of the Foxkin Kingdom. The one who led the group was a king, and that white fox gentleman had a similar name to his surname!

"Isn’t your name similar to him? He is white, and you are white too. Are you perhaps part of his clan?" Ranee tapped her chin in wonder.

"Well, I’m a human, I mean white tiger." Bai Yuchen waved his hand. He glanced at the pink fox lady once before turning around and leaving.

If he still couldn’t meet Elder Kitsune, then he might need to make an appointment. Sakura the pink tree spirit might help him with that.

"Hm?" Fox Queen Yun felt watched by someone, but that person left without a word.

She then went down the stairs with her group, escorted by several disciples. However, a particular golden pig suddenly dashed across the stairs, and a female cultivator flew off in pursuit like a furious wind.

"Stop right there, you peeping pig! I’ll slash you to pieces and roast you into suckling pig! Lucius, help me catch it!" Zhuan Mei held her skirt with an embarrassed and furious expression.

"Why should I? That golden pig just happened to be passing by and accidentally got caught in your skirt." Lucius sighed, wondering about why he had to accompany this girl.

He had no idea why his master asked him for this, but that girl truly made him feel tired even though he hadn’t done anything.

"You! I’ll deal with you later after I beat that pig into a pulp." Zhuan Mei brandished her treasured sword to hunt the fleeing golden pig.

"Oink!" The terrified golden pig tried his best to escape from the unreasonable girl with his escape technique.

"It’s so lively." Fox Queen Yun covered her mouth as she couldn’t help but chuckle.

"Guests? If you have nothing else to do, please move out. We will conduct some extermination missions soon. No outsiders are permitted on the Sacred Mountain." Lucius crossed his arms, giving a stern warning.

"Please pardon me for being frank, but may I ask who the targets on that mission are, sir?" Fox Queen Yun widened her eyes and asked politely.

"The big evils and the heavenly demons, including their followers. Beware of any evil-related things in the current chaotic period. Several holy wars are taking place." Lucius raised his hand in farewell and walked away.

"Thank you for your reminder, sir." Fox Queen Yun clasped her fist to pay her respect.

"..." Fox King Bai averted his gaze to that young mage, but he could only sigh. The random young mage disciple was already at 5th Rank when it would take him a hundred years just to reach the same level.

A few moments later, Elysia conducted a brief meeting with the available Sacred Sakura executives. Since her family would visit Vrelenia soon, she had to ensure Sacred Sakura would be well-prepared for any situation.

After the secret meeting was over, everyone was treated to an evening banquet and tea party.

"Otherworld, huh... I would like to visit your hometown someday, Comrade Evy." Kirara tried to imagine the otherworld with a dreamy expression.

"You are more than welcome, but we need to wait until the world’s chaotic period is over. You need to be more careful, Priestess Kirara. They are the big evils that caused the world’s destruction eons ago." Evelyn sipped her tea calmly and peacefully, but her concern remained clear in her words.

"Mm, thank you. Everyone will be extra careful. With our Supreme Goddess’ blessings, we shall eradicate those big evils from the world!" Kirara clenched her fist with sparkling eyes as if she could already see the bright future ahead.

"Unfortunately, Saint Daem and Saintess Bhae cannot join us right now." Ella raised her cup to Holy Knight Myra.

"Yeah, that’s very unfortunate. They will definitely throw a discontent tantrum at me when I come back. They shouldn’t blame me. It was them who took too long to return." Myra picked up several dishes and took a bit of a piece of heaven.

Elysia kept her tender smile while clapping her hands, giving unspoken encouragement and support to Erina.

That day, Erina’s song completed the event, but Elysia was also dragged to sing along. Once the event was over, it was already late and everyone was advised to rest.

"We will visit Vrelenia early tomorrow morning. Everyone should have a proper rest." Elysia combed Erina’s long golden hair under a sky full of stars.

"Some are dead drunk and asleep at the table. Should we leave them there?" Elena pointed her thumb to the nearby unconscious person. Even He-Dao was passed out by Lifa’s century-old special wine.

"We need to move them to some futons." Elysia moved her fingers and magically put the passed out onto the floor mattress. The drunk would spend the night in this hall, except her family members.

Elena took the family members to the other room as they would need proper rest to welcome tomorrow.

"We also need to rest." Erina looked up, staring into Elysia’s angelic face.

"Yeah..." Elysia sat beside Erina, looking up at the sky. She wished to talk about something to Erina, just the two of them. "Nee, Erina..."

Erina understood the gesture. Elysia wished to talk to her alone, and that was the reason why the other sisters, including the Goddesses, left them behind.

"Yes, Ellie." Erina grasped her hand with a faint smile on her face, feeling it was a rather serious conversation, but she was already prepared for anything.

"Do you want to find your mother’s whereabouts someday?" Elysia looked aside, staring into Erina’s golden eyes.

"It’s so sudden... But, I don’t think it’s that big of a problem. I have no memories about her." Erina shook her head.

"Have you never missed her, or wondered about her?"

"Uhm, maybe a little."

"We will visit Earth’s Heavenly Realm someday. We don’t know if she survived the cataclysm, but we can try our luck."

"Mm, thank you, Ellie. I guess, I also have to thank her for bringing me into the world."

"Then, you need to cultivate diligently. Earth’s Heavenly Realm has its own rules. You need to ascend to at least Demi-God level."

"Demi-God... That’s 9th Rank. I’m still in 6th Rank, so it’ll take a while. There’s no urgency either. We can take it slow and steady."

Erina appreciated Elysia’s concern. She didn’t crave it, but she probably needed it.
