My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 458: A Drop Item

Chapter 458: A Drop Item

’That scared me a bit. Fortunately, that doppelganger cannot duplicate the soul.’ Elysia was grateful in her heart.

Her true power originated from her soul and mind. That doppelganger only copied her physical strength and partial magical capabilities. Her imaginary creation divinity was an authority, not magic, and it was something that could not be copied.

If she had to fight the exact copy of her with a 100% combat power duplicate, then she didn’t have the confidence to keep everyone safe. That was the reason why she ordered everyone to step back and handle the enemy personally.

’Phew... to think a random mini-boss would spawn out of nowhere and summon a wild Elysia doppelganger. You’re being targeted, Ely. Anyway, you’ve repaired that cloning divine artifact. What are you going to do with it?’ Elena also felt relieved, but her curiosity soon peaked after Elysia took ownership of that hexagonal mirror.

’Fufu~’ Elysia replied with a meaningful smile and aimed the hexagonal mirror towards He-Dao.

The mirror side reflected He-Dao, Yuna, Amy, and two heavenly servants. Elysia fiddled with the see-through glass side to mark He-Dao as the target. Its function was like taking a picture, and a divine power manifested.

"!!!" He-Dao checked his surroundings, shocked because something suddenly scanned his body.

He looked aside and found Elysia doing something to him using the newly repaired hexagonal mirror. She tried to make a clone, the doppelganger of him?!

"Stop it. What are you doing?" He-Dao approached Elysia in astonishment.

"I repaired it, but don’t know whether it works or not." Elysia responded innocently.

"Then, why target me as an experimental subject?" He-Dao crossed his arms.

"I wonder why? Maybe, because you’re strong enough to easily defeat the wild doppelganger of you if something goes wrong?" Elysia looked up. She did the finishing command and threw the hexagonal mirror to the ground.

"Is that so? Anyway, I was surprised because you suddenly confronted the enemy by yourself and forbade the others to interfere." He-Dao felt somewhat relieved that the divine artifact didn’t work.

"Hmm, no one expected the water demoness would aim straight at me and create a doppelganger of me. I didn’t want to sacrifice my people if things went awry." Elysia shook her head.

"I see." He-Dao nodded in agreement as he understood Elysia’s mindset. If someone created a clone of himself and arrogantly declared the cheap copy possessed the same divine power as him, he would also intervene directly to prove the truth and prevent the greater disaster.

*Bloop* *Bloop*

The hexagonal mirror spewed out a dark blue viscous liquid, emitting a golden aura with the brilliance of stars. The viscous liquid gathered like a slime, and slowly took the form of a human.

After a few seconds, the doppelganger took the form with the exact appearance of He-Dao, but its elemental magical body was dark blue.

"..." He-Dao pursed his lips, not expecting the newly repaired hexagonal mirror would work. He thought it was broken and unrepairable a few seconds ago!

"Ah, it works!" Elysia clapped her hands, happy about her accomplishment.

"Congratulations~" Elena emerged out of Elysian Realm to congratulate Elysia, but she almost couldn’t contain her laughter over He-Dao’s stupefied expression.

"Hm, thank you. I think we can still polish the doppelganger’s appearance and inner force. What if we do this, and then this one..." Elysia stabbed the doppelganger’s chest and did something to its mirror core. After that, she retracted her hand and took a step back.

The doppelganger’s skin changed color to pale white. The hair and eyes turned golden, and it also copied He-Dao’s heavenly robes.

Unlike the previous cheap copy created by the crowned water demoness, the doppelganger created by Elysia possessed the exact same appearance as the real one with almost no difference in appearance.

"Wow~" Yuna and Amy were amazed. They circled the doppelganger several times to check its authenticity, and they could confidently say it was truly similar to their lord.

The current He-Dao was an avatar, similar to a clone but with a soul fragment. So, the current He-Dao and the doppelganger were not that much different.

"Hm, it’s very similar, right? Unfortunately, it only possesses the power of 12th Rank God by Quadtria’s standard." Elysia clapped her hands.

"Yes... I didn’t expect the appearance, aura, and internal force to be so similar. If I didn’t witness how this doppelganger manifested, I would probably think this clone was created by our lord personally." Amy nodded in agreement.

The enemy chose the wrong target, and that was how the enemy got defeated like a random mob instead of a mini-boss. Since the newly repaired hexagonal mirror divine artifact fell into Elysia’s hands, then everything would be fine even though the mentioned artifact copied He-Dao’s appearance. Amy and Yuna didn’t mind such a situation.

"Huh? Do you think my cultivations, techniques, and soul power could be copied by a mere divine artifact?" He-Dao got a bit offended. He didn’t believe he would lose to that cheap copy, even though he knew the current him was just an avatar.

"He-Dao, do you want to test this doppelganger? But, please don’t destroy it." Elysia stated her request with eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Hum, since this artifact is yours, then I’m not too worried. So, you use me as a target just because you want me to test it." He-Dao ruffled his hair, but he complied with the request as he also wanted to test the doppelganger’s capabilities.

"Let’s fight somewhere empty." He-Dao pointed to the sky and shot like a comet, the doppelganger immediately chased him at Elysia’s command.

*Boom!*

A destructive clash between two powerhouses suddenly broke out in the sky, surprising everyone. He-Dao unleashed his offensive technique with his suppressed power, and the doppelganger used the identical move.

"They seem evenly matched... is that alright, my lady?" Yuna looked up with some worry.

"They’ll be fine. It’s just a 12th Rank doppelganger with an autonomous core." Elysia watched the clashes with great interest.

"I wonder where the Polluted Sea God got this divine artifact. Even Lifa has no knowledge of it." Elena put her hand to her chin, deep in thought. She cross-checked it with the other Goddesses, and they immediately came out of the Nature Realm to check it out.

"Based on my earth divinity, I can sense the ruins and tombs long buried by the ages, forgotten by the world, are starting to surface one after another." Gaia squatted and put her hand to the ground, scanning the entire continent.

"Is it because the Ruvoid’s threat has disappeared, and they are starting to take action to pass their legacies and inheritances to the suitable candidates?" Nell crossed her arms, trying to guess the situation.

"Everyone, I asked the nature spirits. They said four great dungeons emerged to the surface in the last four years. The first dungeon appearance occurred fifty months ago. Many people came out with treasures after exploring those dungeons." Rhea reported her new discovery to everyone.

Although it was a bit surprising, everyone still felt it was reasonable, considering the Sky God Spirit and Ice God Spirit also came from their ’tombs’ before being taken out by the Elysium Family to live in the Sky Library.

"Is it possible the magic academy’s private realm also comes from one of those dungeons?" Evelyn raised her hand.

"What do you mean, Eve? The Deterry Academy of Magic has a private realm?" Ella blinked her eyes in surprise.

"Yup. Emperor Arthur slipped his tongue and said it implicitly by accident. I guess, you didn’t pay attention because you were so excited to visit your family, Ella." Evelyn nodded in reply.

"Hmm, we focused too much on the Polluted Sea God and missed those dungeons. Could one of those dungeons belong to our old friends? Or perhaps, the Gods from the bygone ancient era? Our old comrades might also start appearing one by one to the surface." Lifa put her hand to her chin, deep in thought.

She felt like everything started to make sense now, and the Polluted Sea God might be one of the results caused by the dungeons’ emergence.

"Phew... Ely, here it is." Darkness handed over a soul core fragment into Elysia’s hand.

After venting her stress, she felt refreshed. The crowned water demoness perished for good, and the core remained intact without the slightest scratch.

"Thank you. Good job, everyone. Then, we can continue the shooting practice." Elysia pointed to the corrupted forest in front of them.

That place was filled with many terrifying and dangerous monsters. Before they visit Evelyn’s family, they might as well bring a piece of good news and goodwill by taking care of the scourge that threatened the kingdom’s safety.

"Heehee~ I can show off my new technique. I’ll show you the refined first move of my demonic dragon class. I call it Extinction Beam. But, Eve, please come with me. Your storm power will help control the destructive power of my technique." Sylvia grabbed Evelyn’s hand and went to the corrupted forest.

"Uh-huh, okay. I can practice my aim too. But, extinct fire? Do you will spew out the fire or put out the fire?" Evelyn came along with Sylvia.

"It’s like a dragon fire breath, but I’ll shoot it with my finger like a pew and bam! Ugh, their battle caused the monsters to run away in fear. Let’s just hunt then." Sylvia looked up in complaint.

He-Dao was fighting with his doppelganger in the sky excitedly, but those two caused the terrifying monsters to flee in fear, hiding deep in the forest.
