Chapter 466: Prosper After Resolving the Past Grudge
Chapter 466: Prosper After Resolving the Past Grudge
Once the results of the great meeting had been achieved, the supreme leaders received a magical device to coordinate with the commander in this operation. Dory would arrange everything to ensure the Polluted Sea God and the water demons wouldn’t escape the purge.
They would go straight to the primary cause, and the other matters would be resolved at a later date.
The supreme leaders received a gift and a lunch package to take home. There was no banquet or any kind of party, but some of the guests still wanted to linger in the Sky Library for a little longer.
"The others have returned to prepare their troops. Why are you still here and looking so relaxed?" Sylvia couldn’t help but complain. Her father only asked the other Demon Kings to return, but he seemed lazy and unmotivated.
"Everything has been prepared on my part. We only need to leave for the eastern sea the day after tomorrow. I was just thinking... if the Evil God came out of his seclusion, what would he do?" Dylan asked in wonder.
"What does he have to do with us? He’s unruly and likes to do whatever he wants. He’s on his own." Sylvia snorted softly, not worried about anything.
"Hmm... he might complain and take it out on you. However, we don’t have time to visit him in the deepest hell." Nell shrugged her shoulders.
"That would be very troublesome. Do you have a way to handle him? Give me some advice." Dylan ruffled his hair, feeling reluctant to deal with the Evil God for this matter.
"We’re also not going to visit Beast God because he’s hiding far away. Just throw the rest to him or Sea God." Nell tapped her chin and came up with a solution.
"That might work. Let’s give it all to the Sea God." Dylan couldn’t help but grin.
"???" Sylvia asked in wonder as she was clueless about what was being discussed.
As far as she could understand, the Elysium Family held no special relationship with the Evil God outside of a partnership and non-hostile exchange.
If they wouldn’t visit the Evil God, then he shouldn’t have complained about anything. He also secluded far in the deepest hell, and they were reluctant to visit that place because it was a hassle.
"Thank you for your cooperation~" Elysia waved her hand to the beastkins, elves, and fairies with a gentle smile.
They supported Dory as the commander and the entire plan wholeheartedly. It was a pure intention, unlike the dwarves and devils with their rivalry to show off.
As for the beast leaders, they were still feeling a bit awkward because of the past event. The incident between Vanessa and the Fire Lion Clan even involved the Beast God in the riot.
Regardless, they held the Goddesses of Elysium in high regard. They would follow the plan unconditionally, especially since their Beast God was unlikely to help them any more of his isolation from the world’s affairs.
The leaders of the beastkin, elf, and fairy factions waved their hands in reply, feeling honored to be personally sent away by Elysium’s highest order. The divine group got a name, and they had to update several things in their bible and religion.
The Temple of Magic, the Chruch of Light, the Holy Chruch, and many sacred places for worshiping the Goddesses would receive a massive upgrade due to the recent discovery, considering the Goddesses united as a group as sisters.
*Poof*
Elysia sent the other leaders away from the sacred hall via teleportation magic, sending them back to their respective palaces.
Only Dylan and the representatives of the Human Race remained in the sacred hall.
"Everyone has left for their war preparations. Is there anything you would like to say to us personally?" Dory could feel something was amiss with those humans.
It was as if they deliberately stayed behind to discuss sensitive matters, but they didn’t want it to be heard by the other leaders.
"Alright. We have time for you. What would you like to discuss with us?" Elysia went to a seat near the altar.
"Please have a seat, master." Rhea stood up, offering her seat.
"Thank you." Elysia took Rhea’s seat. Rhea’s warmth was still so evident in the cushion.
"..." Elliott and Arthur looked at each other before reporting some of the situation on the Human Continent. It was related to the great dungeon, several mysterious tombs, and some unknown ruins. They also asked for enlightenment regarding the western region.
That region’s supreme leader was still vacant because no noble dared to ascend the throne. For the past few years, the Xeafinata Kingdom was governed and managed by the Holy Church, but both Alexander and Alfred as the highest rank in the Holy Church held no intention to rule over that region as the new Emperor.
All of that hailed from the Devil Emperor Dylan and his past revenge. The Xeafinata Kingdom’s Emperor killed Dylan’s wife in the past and almost killed both Dylan and his daughter, Sylvia.
Many years later, Dylan ascended in rank and slowly held the highest authority in the entire Devil Continent. The Xeafinata Kingdom’s Emperor and the entire royal family members were hunted down by Dylan, leaving almost none behind.
The true terror of the devils was still deeply embedded in all residents of the western region. Even though the World Alliance was formed, that region was still Emperorless.
"Hmm, do you want to say my son’s ability is lacking?" Alexander rubbed his long beard with a frown on his forehead.
"No. What we are talking about is about the people. The Xeafinata Kingdom is filled with great anxiety, and they can only hold a string of hope... the Holy Church can protect them from the devils. They need a real leader, the supreme ruler in their region." Arthur shook his head with a sigh.
"Hum, that makes sense. Then, do you have a candidate to fill the vacant throne? I don’t think the Devil Emperor Dylan will mind whatever happens in the Xeafinata Kingdom." Alexander glanced at the carefree Devil Emperor.
On the human side, they had five Emperors, but Dylan was alone there. Even so, the Devil Emperor was still nonchalant as if he wasn’t worried about anything at all.
"Emperor Dylan, what would you do if the Xeafinata Kingdom prospered and had a new ruler?" Elysia nodded in understanding and turned to the involved party.
"I have no reason to inflict any harm to that place anymore. I already killed that bastard and his entire family like insects, just like how they hunted us that day." Dylan looked at his right hand, recalling his hand which was stained with fresh blood that day.
"Then, that’s it. You know best who deserves to be the new ruler. The new ruler should be from the Xeafinata Kingdom." Elysia drew a conclusion.
"Hm, if you want to reform that region, then you should make a new name for that kingdom. It’s unpleasant to mention that name." Dylan leaned back and put his hands behind his head.
"Hmm, that’s a good idea. Since the grudge has been resolved and the Xeafinata Kingdom has collapsed, then we need to help them build a new one."
"Alright, but can you suggest a new name for blessing the new kingdom, Your Divine Grace?"
"Sure. Give me a few seconds."
Elysia thought about it for a few seconds when Alexander asked her to bless the west region with a new name.
"The thousands of years of Xeafinata Kingdom’s history will be buried in this era. Because of the great sins caused by the past Emperor, then the Xeafinata Kingdom collapsed after the sinner received its karma. From now on, the western region of the Human Continent receive a new name. The Verdentia Kingdom, the evergreen expansions brimming with flora untouched by time." Elysia stated her answer with a serene yet solemn atmosphere.
"But the west is filled with lots of deserts. Hmpf!" Nell couldn’t help but comment. However, Rhea immediately silenced Nell with the roots of magic.
"Ahem. The west region borders the Beast Continent. It was originally filled with many beautiful forests, but the past wars caused those regions to become deserts. I reckon that in a few hundred years, that region will prosperous and return to its past glory." Rhea cleared her throat and gave a little explanation.
The Human Emperors felt enlightened and found the new name for the western kingdom was so blessed. If it were possible, they would also want to get a new blessed name for their respective kingdom, but they couldn’t because it would disrespect their ancestors and predecessors.
Since the matter was resolved, Elysia sent the Human Emperors away to their respective palaces with her teleportation magic. However, she left a message to Emperor Elliott of the south.
"The Reinhard Family is under my protection. Harold will retire, and his family shall follow my guidance as vassals in the Temple of Magic. Do what you need to do, but don’t cross the line again."
"!!!"
Elliott widened his eyes in surprise. It was more like a threat than a revelation. He turned around to face Elysia, but she had already sent him back to his palace.
His heart was beating erratically because the buried truth had reached Elysia’s ears. She might deem him as the guilty one, but he was innocent!
"I need to do something quickly." Elliott wiped his sweat.
He thought about taking reparation and preventative measures so he wouldn’t get into Elysia’s bad side. Remembering her warning sounded like giving him a chance to redeem his past mistake, then he had to do it right to satisfy her.
Back at Sky Library, Sylvia had a little trouble sending her father back because he was still reluctant to go.
"We will join the great dungeon’s exploration team under the academy enrollment event. Do you also want to play as a student, father?" Sylvia tried to reason, but her father still didn’t want to go.
"All preparations on the devil’s side are over. We can go to war at any time. A father has to accompany his daughter occasionally before she leaves again. But, student, huh... I can disguise myself as a little boy and join the fun." Dylan crossed his arms with a faint grin.
He actually had nothing to do at the moment. So, he might as well follow his daughter to join the fun event held by the Elysium Group.
"Ah, whatever! I know you just have nothing to do." Sylvia didn’t care anymore and turned around, returning to Elysia’s side.
