Chapter 468: Student Teams

The great dungeon experience became one of the requirements for entering the academy, but it did not affect any assessment.

Applicants would be accepted as new students at the Deterry Academy after the test, regardless of the results. They received the privilege to experience the true challenge right ahead and could take possession of any item or treasure they got in the great dungeon!

"?!" The nearby girls could see Elysia holding the number nine card. With Lucia on the team, Elysia would need three more people.

They looked at each other as if a competition had just begun. The number nine card was their objective.

"Yay, I’ll be on team nine~" Erina returned with her lucky card. She treated it like a treasure.

The other girls gasped in surprise because there were only two spots left in Elysia’s team. However, it would take a while until it was their turn in line to go to the stage.

Luna, Lynn, and Fortuna did something to twist the possibility remotely. Unfortunately, all the number nine cards had just been taken by someone else, leaving none in the box.

"Hehee~" Evelyn made a victory pose because she secured her card before anyone could cheat.

As for the last one in team nine, it was the authentic new student, a cold and unsociable sword maiden.

"No way..." Jophiel slumped down, feeling devastated because she had yet to do something to grab her card. She believed her fate and love for her master would bring her to the same team as her master, but the limit of five people on the team was truly nasty.

"Well, don’t be sad. We’ll regroup with everyone on the advanced floor." Rhea patted Jophiel’s back and whispered softly.

"O-oh~" Jophiel felt enlightened. So, it was only the team for the initial floors.

She knew the principal had something in mind for this arrangement. So, they had to carry some new students on the initial floors, indirectly giving them some guidance and protection.

However, the last student sadly received no card.

"Please wait! I didn’t get my team!" The boy raised a protest to the instructor. He didn’t believe that his team had no one but himself.

The box was prepared by the principal, and they had no idea of the total number of the chosen new students for the sudden first batch, plus the distinguished new students.

The last student was so unlucky. He couldn’t draw anything from the box because there were none left.

"Oh, well... how about you ask the other team to let you join?" Glen scratched his head. He only got the estimated number from the divine group’s members, and he miscalculated by one person.

The boy got off the stage grumbling, but he still asked the nearby teams for it.

Unfortunately, the other teams refused or remained silent as if they didn’t wish to invite the unlucky boy to their team. Also, five people were already too many because they still had to share the loot and treasure later.

"Excuse me. What if you join us?" Elysia felt sorry and invited the unlucky boy to her team.

He held two strong reasons for accepting the first invitation. The first one, team 9 consisted of all beautiful girls, far better than that handsome-looking boy’s team. And the second one, the lovely leader of team 9 was the first one who stepped forward to speak for him while the other teams were indifferent.

"You little..." He-Dao sighed, feeling a bit annoyed in his heart. It might be the first time he felt belittled by a mortal, much less a random nobody.

"Who needs your protection? You better not hinder or obstruct my path in the exploration later." The cold sword maiden raised her eyebrow in dissatisfaction.

"Fufu, that’s just a figurative word. My name is Ely." Elysia laughed softly and introduced herself gracefully.

"Ely? Just Ely?" The boy was shocked. He never expected the graceful yet lovely girl before her to be a commoner, but she truly resembled a noble lady in the top caste just from her attitude, way of speaking, and well-favored appearance!

"My name is Lucia."

"It’s Eve~ Pleasure to meet you all!"

"Minamoto Erina. Erina is my given name."

The girls around Elysia introduce themselves to the students with a polite and graceful attitude.

"..." The cold sword maiden breathed a sigh of relief secretly.

For some reason, she was glad there was at least one noble lady in the group to accompany her introduction. It would be awkward if she had to introduce her name, but she was the one with a surname there.

Since all the teams had been formed, then the principal announced the start of the great dungeon exploration event.

The gigantic gate opened. Each team was sent to a random spot on the first floor’s domain through a teleportation magic circle inside the gate.
