Chapter 491: Depart at Midnight
Chapter 491: Depart at Midnight
After the spar event in the mini absolute domain, Elysia wished to open a short lesson before bed to discuss advanced magic’s unique traits.
Everyone possessed spiritual roots and different affinities, but magic derived from a similar origin. They had to grasp the very basics, but only a handful understood the true concept of magic. They should master it first before they advance to the secrets of magic.
"Uhm?" Elysia fiddled with her God System’s virtual screen while looking at the kitchen.
Luna led the sisters and female disciples to convince Elysia to leave the kitchen as they wished to cook a heartful dinner for everyone.
Thus, Elysia had nothing to do at the moment. Yet, something suddenly crossed her mind. "Eh, come to think of it... I haven’t toured the academy area in this private realm yet. Their facilities are much more advanced and extensive than the outside world. Everyone, how was your experience as magic academy’s students for a day?"
"I gained something new, but my peace is mostly disturbed by some annoying brats."
"I scanned the entire terrain and drew the magic academy’s advanced map while collecting some good stuff in the spirit forest."
"I went to the magical training facility. It was quite fun."
"But, the most fruitful encounter we gained today is we’re our master’s disciple. Our master showed us a fragment of her supreme power and received her guidance. We also gained the opportunity to challenge the strong without fear of death. And our master will bestow us some of her wisdom again tonight! Aah~ I’m so excited~"
"Hey, please do something to this demoness. Her infatuation will drive her crazy."
"Hey, come one! Can’t you read the atmosphere, stupid Uri?"
The Elysium members and the disciples responded to Elysia’s question in turns, but it soon turned into a lively exchange. They experienced many things today, but the most insightful events would always their master’s teaching.
"I am glad to hear it." Elysia faintly smiled, feeling happy.
"We have about half an hour before dinner. Shall we take a night stroll around the academy, Ely?" Elena put down the book in her hands. She gently stroked Elysia’s head on her lap.
"Sure!" Elysia agreed with a beaming expression.
They would leave early for the world boss raid tomorrow, and she might no longer have time to take a stroll around this magic academy because they would return to Quadtria soon. Their identities as the new students would be covered by the principal and Timus somehow.
"Wait! Please consider me to accompany you." Evelyn bolted from the kitchen and became the first to volunteer.
"E-ey, but we’re not done here yet. We need to make something super nice and special for our master and everyone. Also, this is a brief night stroll. We can ask He-Dao to be our master’s guardian. With the Lord of Heaven as a shield, nothing will dare to offend him." Lynn pulled Evelyn back into the kitchen.
"???" He-Dao pointed at his face. For some reason, it was as if he became a random side character, the protagonist’s cannon fodder which would be useful when the problem arose.
Jophiel wished to sneak out, but Rhea had already secured the spot. Therefore, the girls returned to the initial schedule and finished what they had started in the kitchen.
"My Lord, should we?" Yuna volunteered.
"It’s okay. Just help them out." He-Dao raised his hand in rejection. It would be better if his agents helped the girls in the kitchen. So when he returned, the dinner was already on the table.
"..." Yuna remained silent, but she went into the kitchen with Amy and the servants. She felt a bit dejected, but there was nothing she could do.
Also, it was only a short stroll in the safe zone. Nothing could endanger the Lord of Heaven, let alone the Supreme Goddess.
"Then, what should we do?" Michael asked his brothers. The ladies and female disciples were busy. They offered to help, but the ladies pushed them out of the kitchen, and they had nothing to do at the moment as well.
"Let’s guard our master from the shadows. If any bad buys dare approach, we can beat them up. Lord He-Dao is only there as a guardian, after all." Azrael brought his face closer and proposed an idea.
"Good idea. We should as our master’s permission then. What do you think, ninth brother?" Michael raised his thumbs up.
"Our master has given us permission. We can follow closely behind as well. There’s no need to guard from the shadows." Raguel gave a thumbs up. He secretly asked for his master’s permission via telecommunication talisman, and he already received her permission.
"Good job, bro! Then, ladies, we shall escort our master. See you later." Michael replied with a dazzling smile. He then raised his hand in farewell to the ladies in the kitchen.
"Please escort our master properly. Don’t let any bad guy approach, let alone cause trouble!" Jophiel raised her fist.
"Have a safe journey." Gabriella waved her hand at her master.
"Let’s head out." Elysia waited for her disciples before opening the door.

The magic academy city was located amidst the rolling hills and ancient forests. As night fell, the academy transformed into a place with splendid charm. Soft, magical lights illuminated the pathways, casting a gentle glow that enhanced the atmosphere. The air was crisp and filled with the subtle scent of blooming nocturnal flowers.
The stroll began in the academy’s north district, the place where the high-level privilege holders resided. The fountain’s water sparkled with enchantment, creating a soothing melody that set a peaceful tone for the evening.
Elysia followed a winding path through the enchanted gardens. Flowers that only bloomed at night opened their petals, releasing a gentle, sweet fragrance. Luminescent butterflies fluttered around, and their wings glowed softly in the darkness.
The magic academy was inside the Tempest Private Realm owned by Timus. All the flora and fauna in this world mostly originated from the previous era.
Rhea pointed out the various magical plants and their uses in potions and spells, sharing stories of their origins.
Elysia listened attentively. Her face lightened up with fascination.
"Ah, I would like to pick some flowers, but it’s such a pity to pluck them. The seeds will do." Elysia picked some beautiful nocturnal flower seeds as she wished to plant them in her gardens later.
"Speaking of which, you just need to say a word, and this realm master will be happy to offer all the flowers-" He-Dao shook his head with a sigh, but he soon realized what he had said. "Ahem! No, wait. You can’t accept flowers from some random guy."
"Hmm? What do you want to imply?" Elysia stood up with a good harvest in hand. Her garden would become more lively at night with the addition of several new ancient glow-in-the-dark flowers.
"Err... please don’t misunderstand, but would you accept it if the flowers were given by me?" He-Dao couldn’t help but ask, feeling it was a small joke to liven up the atmosphere.
"That depends." Elysia pondered about it as if she was considering it.
He-Dao waited patiently for the continuation.
"Hi~ Look at my flower crown craftsmanship." Elena came and crowned Elysia with a glowing flower crown.
"E-eh? My dear sister, did you pluck these glowing flowers? Someone will scold us..." Elysia gasped in surprise. The academy’s rules stated it. Students were not allowed to pick flowers in the academy’s gardens.
"It’s just a few flowers. Even the principal wouldn’t dare to question or scold us. We’re not students and they won’t find out. Ely, why are you so cute?" Elena took Elysia away cheerfully. The mature Elysia was mesmerizing and divine, but the younger Elysia was adorable.
"Mhmm..." Elysia felt a bit embarrassed.
Rhea walked by Elysia’s side, smiling in delight. As they walked, tiny fireflies with an otherworldly glow hovered around them, creating a trail of light that danced in the air.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the crystal lake. The serene water surface reflected the starry sky above. Like a mirror, gentle waves created ripples of light.
They stopped at an open meadow near the ancient oak tree atop the hill. They were lying on the soft grass to gaze at the night sky and the magic academy city.
The stars twinkled brightly, and constellations formed patterns that seemed to tell the ancient stories of magic. But, three shooting stars of different colors soon fell from the sky, landing on the hill.
"Phew... You’re here, your honor. I was looking for you everywhere..." Glenn floated down, accompanied by two high-level elders.
"Thank you for the privilege you lent us, principal. I hope my people don’t cause any trouble. But, why do you look a bit tired?" Elysia looked back, responding with both gratitude and concern.
"Haha, everything is fine. May I know about the situation on your side? How about him?" Glenn tried his best to smile.
He didn’t want to think about what those ’new students’ did at his magic academy this afternoon. They literally robbed his academy with the privilege that he bestowed on the Goddess of Magic!
"Hmm... he’s fine, and we helped him to recover. He will probably take part in the world boss raid tomorrow morning in the eastern ocean. Will the Deterry Academy of Magic send some troops too?" Elysia tapped her chin.
"Thank goodness... that brings some relief. Yes, our magic academy will also send our best combatants and some chosen students. We’ll leave at midnight, following the esteemed superintendent’s notice." Glenn breathed a sigh of relief. He had received an early notice from the God of Trade, and his group was ready to leave at any time.
"Alright. We’ll leave at midnight as well. When the sun rises over the eastern ocean, that will mark the start of the raid." Elysia nodded in understanding. She should also consider the time difference between the Human Continent’s holy central region and the Aquatic Continent’s eastern ocean. Therefore, they had to leave at midnight.
"Understood." Glenn bowed respectfully, followed by the two elders.
"Until we meet again." Elysia returned to her feet, and walked back to her temporary mansion with her sisters by her side, leaving the principal’s group behind.
Glenn looked at the elders on his sides and nodded. They then flew away, back to the central district.
"Eh? Why are you here?" Dorothy was calming down in the park near the lake, but an approaching group of people startled her.
"That’s what we should have said. What are you, a girl, doing here alone at night?" Elena truly wondered about it.
This girl was Dorothy, the lucky girl who teamed up with Elysia’s team some time ago. This girl also stalked Elysia for some time right after they disembarked the magic academy’s flying ship.
