My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 498: The Polluted Sea God

Chapter 498: The Polluted Sea God

High above the planet, the mothership-class ES Nirvana floated ominously in the planet’s orbit. From its imposing hull extended the colossal barrel of the Star Annihilator Cannon, a doomsday weapon capable of unparalleled destruction.

Within the ship’s core, the reactors surged with energy to channel immense power into the Star Annihilator Cannon, glowing with an ominous blue light.

The barrels crackled with energy as the final sequence initiated. A deep hum resonated through the ship, signaling the impending release of its destructive force.

Timus’ stream was interrupted and the signal was cut off, indicating the abyss he entered was the restrictive forbidden zone.

When Elysia’s premonition warned her about the danger Timus had to face, she sent an emergency direct telepathy, breaking through the restrictions of the forbidden zone deep under the sea. But, Timus’ situation wasn’t that good, and immediate action was required.

"Recharge complete. 10% of Star Annihilator’s full power, ready to fire. Target locked on. Awaiting command." Xentia spoke in a robotic voice, waiting for Elysia’s orders.

"Fire." Elysia moved her hand upside down.

With a deafening roar, the Star Annihilator Cannon was fired. A brilliant, concentrated beam of destructive energy shot down, piercing through the planet’s atmosphere and striking the ocean with pinpoint precision.

The impact was cataclysmic. The sea was blasted apart, splitting into a massive, gaping hole. Steam and mist rose as the intense energy vaporized the surrounding water, creating an enormous, boiling chasm.

At the bottom of the newly-formed abyssal hell hole, the corrupted sea floor was laid bare. Dark, writhing tendrils of malevolent energy pulsed from a central point, revealing the corrupted evil that had long been hidden beneath the waves.

"Wales! World Alliance, assembly! The Polluted Sea God is found!" Dory called out.

"Yes, ma’am!" Wales took a swift turn, swimming in the sky towards the center of destruction.

The destructive energy was still chaotic, destroying everything. The sea monsters and minions at Spirit-level or below were instantly obliterated into particles, leaving several Saint-level and above monsters with heavy injuries.

The deep water was split open, leaving an incredibly deep hole in the middle of the sea.

Right in the center of the destruction, a leviathan-like monster was dying, curled up as if trying to protect something. It took most of the damage, preventing destruction from wiping out the coral hut on its back.

"Stay in place!" Wales used his sea manipulation, tearing down the sea towers and focusing on preventing the seawater from filling the hell hole.

When the destructive gravitational force weakened, the seawater was about to fall to fill the void in the middle of the sea, but the All-Devouring Whale, the otherworldy ruler of the sea, pushed the water up to leave the hole untouched by water.

Fleets of warships of the World Alliance received the call. All warships surged towards the abyss, engines roaring and waves crashing as they sped to the world boss raid’s location. They abandoned their posts and formations, leaving the countless corrupted sea monsters and water demon minions behind. They had to deal with the real threat, and the true world boss raid was about to begin.

Battleships, cruisers, and destroyers formed a tight, coordinated perimeter around the hell hole, ready to launch their bombardment.

"How dare you?! Protect the Supreme Lord!" The God-tier water demon avatar sacrificed his life energy essence to break free from the eternal ice shackles.

It joined its comrades heading to the destroyed abyss. The Polluted Sea God’s true body was discovered, destroying the entire plan to deceive the enemy’s forces to slowly overthrow the Goddesses.

The Polluted Sea God’s true body had yet to finish the preparation to face the Goddesses, but an apocalypse-level destructive beam fell from Heaven and ruined everything.

"Not so fast. Stay here and play with us more!" Sylvia laughed like a battle maniac devil. She swung her divine spear horizontally, blowing the fleeing monsters away.

"O peerless, mighty heroes of Vrelenia who have gathered here. Even if we never crossed paths, now is when you entrust your backs to one another! Lift your heads and witness the scourge that awaited us below. We shall put an end to the Polluted Sea God’s ambition today!" Dory raised her trident.

Everyone responded with acknowledgment. Cannons roared and missiles launched, raining destruction upon the corrupted evil below. Specialized anti-monster weaponry, including harpoons and energy nets, was deployed to contain and weaken the monsters hidden in the abyss.

Elite squadrons of fighters and bombers, piloted by the best aviators from each faction, darted through the sky and dived into the chasm, delivering precise, devastating strikes.

Magi-tech units combined ancient magic with advanced technology, casting powerful spells and launching enchanted projectiles to exploit the corrupted monster’s weakened state.

The corrupted monster spawned from the chasm’s gap and fought back with relentless ferocity. Its tendrils lashed out and its roar sent shockwaves through the surroundings. Smaller, corrupted minions swarmed from the depths, attacking the allied forces.

Sadly, the remaining creatures in the destroyed abyss had already received fatal injuries from the apocalypse-level beam.

In a last-ditch effort, the combined forces of the factions launched a coordinated, all-out assault. High-powered lasers concentrated magical beams, and synchronized missile barrages targeted the core of the corrupted leviathan.

With a final, earth-shaking roar, the corrupted leviathan was overwhelmed and obliterated. Its serpent-like monstrous form disintegrated, leaving behind only remnants of dark energy that slowly dissipated.

The terrain was dry and its core was cracked with almost no energy left. The core fell to the ground, but a mermaid-like lady soon picked it up amid the billowing smoke and energy remnant that filled the air, blocking the sight.

Elysia heaved a subtle sigh and moved her finger, cleansing the dirty Timus with purification magic.

"Gasp! That almost killed me... I would appreciate it if you told me something beforehand." Timus lay on his back, staring at the ceiling with a sigh of relief.

"Thanks for your hard work. You entered the restricted forbidden zone. Luckily our help was on time." Nell threw the towel at Timus.

"Yeah, that’s good. So, can we kill the Polluted Sea God now? I haven’t seen her presence clearly, but she truly scared me to death." Timus rubbed his body with a towel while watching the situation below on the main virtual screen.

"Disciples, it’s the time." Elysia beckoned her disciples. They were already so eager to participate, and it was time for them to jump into battle.

"Yes, master. Please leave it to us." Gabriella saluted, followed by her juniors.

They got teleported by their master to Yuuki’s ice domain not far from the destroyed abyss. Gabriella reported the task to Yuuki before they participated in the battle to hold off the enemies from the world boss raid location.

"..." Dory’s lips trembled when she discovered the Polluted Sea God, the roots of the Aquatic Continent’s destruction and the source of the sea corruption, came from one of her kin.

The Polluted Sea God was actually a mermaid but with a vision of corruption and malevolence. The monster in a mermaid form with a tangle of oily, black tendrils, writhed as if alive, reflecting the deep abyss. Her eyes glowed an eerie, sickly yellow filled with a malevolent intelligence and an unquenchable thirst for destruction. Her skin was marred with dark, jagged scales and patches of necrotic flesh, exuding a constant aura of corruption.

The Polluted Sea God’s lower half was a grotesque amalgamation of monstrous tentacles and spiny protrusions. Adorned with the remnants of her former mermaid regal attire, tattered and stained by corruption. She wore a crown of cracked coral and barnacles, a dark parody of her once-gleaming diadem. In her presence, everything seemed to darken and boil, corrupting anything in her surroundings.

Elysia shared her vision via Elysium Group Chat, and Dory witnessed the enemy’s initial raw stats.

Based on the predictions of the other Goddesses, the Polluted Sea God held the original Sea God’s divinity. The world boss raid would last for several phases.

As for this first phase, Dory voiced her selfish desire to fight the Polluted Sea God’s first phase alone, and she received Elysia’s permission.

"O, the Almighty Goddess of Magic, please grant me the power to slay the Corrupted Evil who challenges your sovereignty." Dory clasped her hands in prayer.

"We shall bestow you the power to challenge a God. Three minutes, and that’s the limit your body can handle." Elysia blessed Dory with her blessings through her soul bond. She also asked Nell for help because they had to cast a godly buff on Dory.

Nell was renowned as the Goddess of Blessings with mediocre fighting power, but in exchange for such a drawback, Nell held the power to heavily buff even the strongest Gods. With the combined power of Elysia, Nell cast a high-level buff in layers to ensure Dory’s body wouldn’t explode due to receiving the power of a God.

"Imbecile and arrogant! The five Goddesses that once saved the world and their followers! You truly underestimated me. Since this is how you play, then I will entertain you and destroy you. With the gathering of all the highest-level powerhouses throughout the world, once I killed them all, the world shall be mine!" The Polluted Sea God exclaimed in a thrilling cry.

"Thank you, master. That’s more than enough." Dory could feel her power multiplied by several times.

She leaped from Wales’ back, plunging towards the Polluted Sea God like a comet. "You talk so much."

"A mermaid?" The Polluted Sea God widened her eyes in surprise. She had ensured no merfolk escaped her grasp, but this pink mermaid escaped and came to challenge her.

She thought it was so foolish for such a young, weak mermaid to challenge her. However, she swallowed back her arrogant remark when the pink mermaid’s trident clashed with her defense.
