Chapter 510: Outrageous Request
Chapter 510: Outrageous Request
"Hey, father. I heard you lost quite a lot of blood. Are you okay?" Sylvia asked out of concern because her father looked paler and thinner than usual.
The difference was almost indiscernible, but she could notice it easily because her father’s blood resonance aura was weakened.
"It’s no problem. You don’t need to worry." Dylan shooed his daughter away with a hand gesture. It was just some blood qi. He just needed to recover and everything would be good.
"You see... it’s not good, especially when the next event after the party is something you shouldn’t miss. Coincidentally, I brought a good stuff." Sylvia took out a large oak wine barrel.
"What is this? A barrel of wine?" Dylan crossed his arms, intrigued by what his daughter wished to show.
"Yeah, you can consider it as wine, but it’s not intoxicating. I made this from the highest-grade blood berries and many other quality mixtures. I named this blood recovery elixir. This thing can speed up a blood demon’s recovery and regeneration. Well, this can also help the blood attribute spiritual roots to breakthrough when consumed for the first time." Sylvia tapped the barrel as if it were a valuable object.
"So, you want me to drink it?" Dylan nodded in understanding.
"Yes, since this is your first time, then we need to maximize the effect. Drink it all at once and I will give you another barrel for you to enjoy at a later date." Sylvia opened the knob and lifted the large barrel as if she wished to make her father drink it all straight from there.
"This, this barrel has at least 30 liters of blood wine. So, you’re asking me to drink it all at once?" Dylan took a step back.
He could handle that much easily, but he was worried about the energy supply contained in it if he had to drink it all at once.
"It won’t hurt, maybe a little. Sophia, please hold my father. He’s a big guy at Emperor-level. So, 30 liters is what he needs. This is worth three thousand blood potions." Sylvia looked aside, asking for help from the nearby demoness.
"..." Sophia considered the situation. Her husband looked like a child who was afraid to take medicine. For a Devil Emperor, even if it was the real wine, he would be fine to drink a barrel and refine everything in just a matter of seconds.
"Just leave the barrel. I’ll drink it later. Sophia, don’t listen-" Dylan tried to find an excuse, but his wife suddenly held him from behind, holding his arms. "Sophia, what are you doing?"
"I’m sorry! I think Sylvia came with good intentions. It could help you to breakthrough as well." Sophia closed her eyes, trying to restrain her husband.
"Hehe~" Sylvia found an opening and immediately made her father drink it all.
"Gulp, gulp, gu..." Dylan couldn’t believe what was happening, the wine was so bitter. It didn’t take long until he could feel the benefit.
Unfortunately, he passed out a moment later because the supply of magical energy that came in at once was too much, forcing his body to enter a hibernation state to refine the energy from the blood recovery wine.
"Uhm, what?" Elysia covered her mouth as she noticed Sylvia’s mischief.
Sylvia forced Dylan to drink a barrel of wine, and he passed out with a bloated stomach as the result. If it was an ordinary person, that person might explode, but it was about a Devil Emperor.
Dylan could refine it in his body. Everything was fine even though Dylan passed out, but the so-called blood-like wine reminded her of the blood-like bathwater that Sylvia used to soak in to heal the wounds and connect the lost limbs.
’Sylvi, why did you make your father drink your bathwater?’ Elysia asked out of astonishment.
’Bath, bathwater? You’re such a tease, master. Why do I need to make him drink it? This is my concoction, the blood recovery elixir. This one is brand new stuff, not the same water I use for bathing...’ Sylvia looked at Elysia in panic and embarrassment. She immediately explained clearly to avoid misunderstandings.
’Mm, I see... Sorry, I misunderstood then.’ Elysia let out a sigh of relief.
"Please take him to the tent to rest. He will wake up in a prime condition a few minutes later." Sylvia pointed to the nearby tent. Her father passed out at Sophia’s arms, so it would be the best for the wife to look after the husband.
Sophia nodded and carried her husband to the tent to rest.
The nearby Devil Kings and elites looked at Sylvia with disbelief, but they didn’t dare to say anything.
"What are you looking at? Do you want some too? I can sell them cheap for you~" Sylvia kindly offered, but everyone politely declined for different excuses.
As the triumphant party continued, the Elysium members exchanged words with each faction. However, some old foxes from the Beastkin Faction sought Luna and Lynn for a private talk as if it were so important.
"Her Majesty, do you have absolutely no intention to return and reign the Yhester Kingdom again? Your influences and roots in Evroria City and the entire region stretch far and wide." One of the soul fox elders tried to persuade Luna to return as the Empress again.
Unfortunately, Luna refused politely and gracefully. No matter the offers, the answer would be the same. She would never forsake her current blissful life in Elysium Family for anything else.
"Why did you abandon us? The Soul Fox Clan’s direct lineage and pure blood will be extinct in your hands." The other elder voiced his dissatisfaction.
"Why, huh... I wonder. But, did you try to tell me what I need to do? You should know your place." Luna exerted a bit of pressure to make the soul fox elders shut up. She wasn’t there to argue, but these old folk were such a pain.
The Soul Fox Clan’s direct lineage and pure bloodline would end in her and her daughter, breaking the string.
Regardless, it would be best for the genuine soul fox to leave. The pure bloodline should have become extinct during that tragedy, but Luna and Lynn somehow survived. All the sinners involved have already paid for all their sins, so it would be fine if they, mother and daughter, to leave. They found happiness in the Elysium Family, so they had no intention of leaving Elysia’s side.
The Soul Fox Clan was feared and targeted by many because of the soul manipulation art. But, it would be fine for the remaining clan members since they were only branch families with impure soul fox blood. They possessed none of the soul fox’s true soul arts.
"Alright. We won’t convince you further. I can see you’ve found what you were looking for in the divine group, serving the Goddesses directly. But, can you please fulfill a request of mine, Lady Luna?" The soul fox great elder stepped forward, speaking compassionately.
"Is it possible to leave Princess Lynn behind for a year or two?"
"Don’t test our patience."
"Can you please leave behind at least your legacy?"
"It will only bring harm to you."
"Then, please at least allow us to obtain two drops of your blood essence."
"..."
Luna was silent for a moment. These old foxes were such a pain, but their request became outrageous!
"Do you think this queen will fulfill your unreasonable request? You ruined my mood. Lynn, let’s go back." Luna grabbed her daughter’s hand and left the soul fox’s group.
"Oh, okay." Lynn immediately followed her mother without even looking back.
"..." A particular prince-like fox frowned because Lynn never paid him any attention. He moved his finger and several blood leeches and insects fell from the nearby tree.
Regardless of what happened, his clan had to obtain the true blood essence from the direct pure bloodline to revive the Soul Fox Clan. Because Luna and Lynn as the only hope abandoned them, then nothing could be done.
*Zap*
The pests got wiped out into ashes the moment they approached Luna and Lynn.
Luna stared at a particular boy, releasing a mental attack.
"!!!" The boy flinched, received a terrible spiritual backlash, and fell to the ground, vomiting blood.
"What happened? I thought it was a clan reunion." Kazuma flew down from the sky, asking with a frown because he could see something was wrong just from Luna’s angry expression.
"It’s nothing. We are no longer affiliated with the Soul Fox Clan. Please excuse us." Luna sighed and leaped high to the central gathering where Elysia was.
"..." Kazuma crossed his arms. He could tell the soul fox elders crossed Luna’s bottom line at that private meeting.
’Mum, are you angry?’ Lynn asked in concern.
’They are insignificant pushovers. I almost squashed them to death.’ Luna raised her fist.
’But, why do they want our blood essence? They even tried to ask me to stay for two years. What are they planning?’ Lynn pondered over it, but she couldn’t come out with anything good.
’They want to revive the clan with our blood. Those fools... they should lay low and live peacefully. They want you to stay so you can leave at least one descendant here. They tested my patience. If they weren’t soul foxes, I’d have beaten them to a pulp.’
’Outrageous. But, why are you mentally attacking that boy?’
’He sent some pests to suck our blood. He deserves it.’
’They are simply too much!’
’Lynn, listen. We’re Elysia’s faithful servants, and we’ll live an eternal life that transcends mortality. She is our master and life companion. I only wish to serve her, and I hope you are there with me.’
’Understood, mother. I won’t go anywhere.’
Luna exchanged words with her daughter via direct telepathy. By the time they returned to central camp, Elysia welcomed them. "Please ease your anger. Would you like to share your thoughts?"
"I thought they had something important to discuss privately, but what a waste of time. But, it’s okay now. They better not bother us anymore." Luna faintly smiled. When Elysia’s hand reached her, she reflexively lowered her head for the head pat.
"Then, let’s just enjoy the party." Elysia smiled in reply and gave Lynn a head pat as well.
She then looked aside. The Cube Island, the dungeon-type divine artifact, was floating above the sea. She had yet to introduce it to everyone, but it was the gift to Vrelenia.
