Chapter 521: Mama Came to Rescue
Chapter 521: Mama Came to Rescue
The beautiful priestess of Sacred Sakura, Miko ran with joy toward her mama whom she hadn’t seen since yesterday. Miko’s mama, Elysia, was still in disguise to move around unnoticed.
Miko coiled her arms around her mama’s neck, laughing with happiness, oblivious to the fact that her mama was still maintaining the disguise.
Meanwhile, Yang Jian, a child of destiny and ardent admirer of the Sacred Sakura Priestess, watched the scene unfolded from a distance. His heart clenched with jealousy, mistaking the affectionate reunion for a romantic embrace between Miko and a supposed rival.
He couldn’t even see the person clearly because that person used a particular mystical art, but the threat was authentic. Misinterpreting the situation, he felt the urge to assert himself and protect his love as he would never allow anyone to snatch his destined one.
With determination in his step, Yang Jian approached the pair, racing with thoughts of confrontation. He stood before them, narrowing eyes at someone hugged by Miko. He still couldn’t see this person’s true appearance due to the high-level mystic art far beyond his league that obstructed his vision, and it seemed just like a random nobody, but he already felt so threatened due to the fact Miko hugged this disguised person so affectionately.
"Fancy meeting here, Priestess Miko. However... who do you think you are, embracing the sacred priestess so intimately?" Yang Jian greeted and demanded. His voice trembled with a mixture of jealousy and indignation. "Do you not know she is betrothed to none but the worthiest suitor?"
Elysia was a bit surprised but composed. She stepped back slightly from Miko, looking at the jealous stalker with a stern gaze. She knew her disguise had caused this misunderstanding, but she had expected it. "And who might you be, young man, to question the company of the sacred priestess?"
Miko sensed the tension and played along. She turned to Yang Jian. "Yang Jian, what are you doing here? This isn’t those fateful encounters anymore. Did you perhaps stalk us all the way here?"
"Ahem! That didn’t happen, Priestess Miko. I was just worried because I heard you went to the unlawful Surmenba Town out of all places." Yang Jian became a bit flustered because he always used the excuse of a fateful encounter every time he appeared in front of Miko. He tried to keep his composition in check then asked again. "May I know who this person is, Priestess Miko?"
"Please pay attention to your manner. You’re in the presence of my mama!" Miko exclaimed in wonder. Her voice filled with both surprise and a hint of amusement. She could see her mama wore no disguise, but it might be related to her eye’s ability. The others might see her mama as a different person for sure.
Yang Jian’s face turned a deep shade of crimson as the realization dawned on him. His eyes widened in shock, and he stammered, "Y-your mama? The Divine Mother, Sacred Sakura Goddess? I...I didn’t know. I thought..." His words trailed off as he felt the weight of his embarrassment settling over him.
Elysia shredded her mystic disguise to reveal her true identity. She looked at Yang Jian with a mixture of sternness and understanding. "Young man, it seems you have let your emotions cloud your judgment after stalking my daughter for long. We won’t question your aim, but it’s wise to know the full truth before acting on assumptions. Jealousy and haste do not befit a gentleman."
Yang Jian bowed his head in shame, his ears burning with the sting of his mistake. He could hide nothing before the divine, but it made him even more nervous because the Miko’s mama stood before him unexpectedly.
"I am deeply sorry, Your Grace. I let my feelings get the better of me." Yang Jian mumbled, barely able to meet the Divine Mother’s gaze.
Miko stepped forward, placing a comforting hand on Yang Jian’s shoulder. "It’s alright, Yang Jian. We all make mistakes. Let this be a lesson to think before you act."
Elysia nodded in agreement. "Indeed, we all learn and grow from our missteps. Take this experience to heart, and strive to be better. You have a long path ahead, don’t too fixated on this matter."
With that, the tension dissolved, and Yang Jian, though still embarrassed, felt a sense of relief and gratitude for the understanding shown by both the sacred priestess and the Divine Mother.
However, the embarassement already took a better of him. He wasn’t ready to meet Miko’s mama as it wasn’t the time yet. Sacred Sakura Goddess could uncover his identity the longer he stood before her presence. Therefore, he hastily paid his respect and bid his farewell. He leaped high and far, disappearing between the crowd and buildings.
’Ely, don’t you want to teach him a lesson for harassing our Miko repeatedly? Deep in his heart, he wishes to wife your clone.’ Elena covered her mouth in amusement.
’Uhm, he became too embarrassed and immediately ran away. I’ll teach him a lesson right away the next time he harassed my Miko. But, upon closer look, why do his fate and luck gradually decreasing? He is also covered by a faint bad karma.’ Elysia asked in wonder as she keep staring at Yang Jian’s back until he could no longer be seen.
’Well, we don’t know what he did in the past and his previous life. Even the child of destiny and the righteous path cultivators can be hypocritical, not much different from the evil demonic path cultivators.’ Sylvia emphasized her point as everything would be fair and square depending on the person.
"Sa-sa, Sacred Sakura Goddess?!" Mingyue could finally express her shock and awe in this unexpected encounter. She had many things to say as she wished to seek enlightenment from Miko’s mama, but she had to pay attention to her manner first. "Feng Mingyue pays her respect to the Sacred Sakura Goddess."
"There’s no need to be so formal, Saintess Minyue. You’re already our person, right?" Elysia raised her hand.
"Y-yesh! It’s my honor." Mingyue blushed slightly and nodded with joy filled her heart.
"How are you, demoness? Have you consolidated your foundation for your divine ascension?" Yuuki greeted Sylvia, looking her devil friend up and down.
Since yesterday, Sylvia barely left Elysia’s side as everyone knew that Sylvia urgently sought Elysia’s help to prepare for the divine ascension to godhood in the Divine World today.
"Are you worried about me, my snow vixen friend? Thank you, but you don’t need to worry because my master treats me well. I only need one last assistance, and I will be ready to undergo my divine ascension in the Divine World this afternoon." Sylvia grinned confidently.
"Is that so. That’s good for you..." Yuuki muttered as if she suffered some injustices. Actually, the one who felt like that wasn’t just her, but many of her sisters as well, including Miko. After all, Sylvia took a lot of Elysia’s attention since yesterday.
"Have you found what you were looking for? Can you show us what you got?" Elena waved her hand at Erina.
Erina looked left and right, but the surrounding passer-by seemed unable to notice their presence even though they were standing in the middle of the road. Elysia had done something to prevent the information leak by sealing the space around them for sure. Therefore, she showed her newly obtained gem to everyone with no worry. "Please look at this."
Erina channeled her spiritual energy to the gem, and it became transparent. At the same time, Erina gradually camouflaged with nature, completely transparent, and it looked like the well-clothed ghost with no aura and sense of presence. She proudly showed her recent progress like a children to her parent, asking for a praise.
"It’s wonderful! You become transparent in a physical matter, not a magical camouflage. You are getting closer to matter manipulation ability, Erina." Elysia clapped her hands, feeling happy about Erina’s swift progress.
"Hehe, thank you. It’s all thanks to you and everyone’s help. Unfortunately, it’s still far from the true matter manipulation. My ability only resonates with precious gems and high-tier metals." Erina felt honored and proud.
In recent days, she actively collected various precious gems and metals to study them and implement them into her skills so she could use them for later use. Her hard work was paid off, and Elysia’s appreciation, especially the sincere praise made her happy.
"It’s still a super powerful ability. Even if you are suppressed to 1st Rank mortal with no combat power, you only need to transform your body into the hardest metal, and you will be undefeated even if your enemy is a group of experts." Elena patted Erina’s shoulder.
"Thank, thank you..." Erina felt delighted and felt relieved because everyone from the Elysium Family was so nice.
"Our business in this town is over. Shall we go to the Sakura Town?" Elysia invited everyone, including Blood Moon Saintess Mingyue as she knew this girl had something to say.
---
A few moments later, Elysia brought everyone to the Sakura Town via instant teleportation. They arrived at the special safe zone small city located right on the Sacred Sakura Holy Land’s border, only a few kilometers from the Sacred Mountain.
They teleported once again to the town’s most renowned inn, the highest floor permitted to be used only by Sacred Sakura’s people. It was also one of the facilities owned by Guardian of Dream.
Seeing Mingyue become a bit nervous all of a sudden, Elysia extended her hand and spoke softly. "Is something from your new power starting to bother you? Speak your mind, and we shall help you out."
"Uhm, mm..." Mingyue put her hand on the Sacred Sakura Goddess’ palm and nodded in reply. Just as she could expect, she had yet to say anything, and Miko’s mama already knew it.
As the divine being with unimaginable power, she truly needed help from Miko’s mama. She asked Miko for help beforehand, but Miko only asked her to wait for her meeting opportunity. When the opportunity arrived, she explained the problem in detail. "It’s related to my newly obtained inheritance. The blood-winged vermillion bird’s legacy. It starts from-"
When Mingyue shared the crux of her problem, everyone in the room was silent and listened carefully. The blood-winged vermilion bird’s legacy was also accompanied by a primordial soul essence, the fallen immortal beast, none other than the blood-winged vermilion bird itself.
That soul essence was asleep in a dormant state deep in her soul. It already offered a soul contract, but she had to think about it more. That soul essence would give her unimaginable strength, the guidance to soar into a high rank immortal, but in return, she had to revive the said blood-winged vermilion bird and the Sky Scorching Clan.
