Chapter 561: Why Rush to Leave?
Chapter 561: Why Rush to Leave?
"Why are you in such a hurry to leave? Since you’re already here, come and have a cup of tea with us." Elysia sent a voice transmission to the ancestor in the void.
He was pretty chill and harbored no ill. He also indirectly helped the Elysion Church to take root by his attitude toward Myra’s arrival. As a good gentleman and God’s follower, he deserved a cup of tea from her as a token of friendship.
"???" Galashiels gasped in surprise. He flew through the void, but someone suddenly invited him for tea.
At first, he tried to ignore the lady’s invitation, but after careful consideration, none could detect him if he had already entered the void. It was either the lady held far superior power than him or she possessed a higher comprehension of the space law.
Regardless, it was so unwise to ignore the one who was probably far stronger than him.
’Why is this year’s traditional event attended by so many unexpected figures? Usually, the Deities would seclude themselves in their places, but I have already encountered more than one in just five minutes. Was it because the summoned heroes and the future holy war piqued their interest?’ Galashiels wondered in his mind as he looked around, searching for who had invited him.
A fleeting otherworldly aura immediately drew his attention to the Imperial Arena’s outermost walls. As he looked at the shade, two ladies watched the Martial Arts Competition over a cup of tea.
*Zap*
Galashiels teleported to the intended location to greet the ladies. It was the white cat lady and the mystical nine-tailed fox lady.
"What?!" Galashiels was so shocked once he discovered that it was really the mystical nine-tailed fox! The alluring fox lady whose beauty could topple over the continent and cause a great calamity.
However, she possessed the power that even he couldn’t measure. So, those who desired her for whatever reason would obviously pay a super heavy price because she wasn’t an easy prey, but an alluring predator. Next to her, sat a graceful yet fierce cat lady who subtly exuded a 10th Rank aura. His hunch warned him that he would die if he tried to fight it out.
"Pleased to meet you, Lord Galashiels, the founder and also the ancestor of the Stevia Empire. Please have a seat." Elysia flicked her fingers and manifested a chair with magic for her guest to sit on.
"The pleasure is mine, ladies." Galashiels paid his courtesy of a noble, never once looking at the ladies before him with any ill intention.
Elysia poured a cup of tea and Vanessa handed it over to the old gentleman across the table.
Galashiels looked at the tea, and it was purple in color. If his eyes deceived his comprehension, he would treat it as a poison, but his ability and experience told him it was just a tea with a positive effect in it. "If I may ask, what is the origin of this purple tea, lady?"
"We call it Serenitea, a new flavor variant. Please give it a taste." Elysia sipped her warm tea with the grace and etiquette of nobility.
"..." Galashiels shook his cup slightly, observing the purple tea in surprise and amazement. Those who lived a long life were bound to encounter unexpected things.
He took a sip of it, and at that moment, he widened his eyes. It had absolutely no sweetness, relatively bitter, but it truly provided the serenity to his tongue, body, and mind.
The feeling that he received in those seconds was akin to a divine revelation that bestowed upon him to lead him toward ethereal serenity, sweeping all the troubles and disturbing thoughts aside.
In such an enlightened state, he could feel that he could already grasp the path for his minor breakthrough. The long-awaited step toward the peak of the mortal power, and one step closer toward the path of immortality!
"The Glorious God, Rhykdohr, and his Council of God are pretty troubled, huh. It’s good he still cares about his followers, but he is going to send his heroes to the death door once again." Elysia heaved a subtle sigh.
Although the title was similar to the God of Glory, the Glorious God was someone entirely different, standing at a higher status and power than Nieyr.
It had already eight failures, and the ninth-generation hero would only suffer the same fate if they followed the current arrangements and preparations.
Galashiels was about to ask about how to obtain the Serenitea, and perhaps, he could buy it from the mysterious nine-tailed shadow fox before him. However, what she said immediately made him alert. "Please pardon me, lady. But, can you take responsibility for what you just said?"
"Yes, sure. We’re entirely sure of it. You’re the incarnation of the Rhykdohr, right? Can you please call your true self’s consciousness? We can talk about it after that." Elysia put down her tea cup and rested her hands on the table, staring at the old gentleman with a profound gaze.
Although he dressed with such simplicity and had the appearance of a neighbor courteous old man, this man actually possessed a fragment of the divine in his soul, clearly indicating a God took root in himself.
"..." Galashiels was silent for a moment, feeling that the mysterious nine-tailed shadow fox became even more mysterious.
He could deny it and pretend not to know. As long as he never acknowledged it, nobody would know about his identity as the Glorious God’s mortal vessel. But, the mysterious nine-tailed shadow fox’s feline-like purplish-blue mystical eyes seemed to see through him and peered into his soul unknowingly. She wasn’t even testing him.
Galashiels smiled awkwardly in reply. Apparently, the nine-tailed fox lady came for something important that would involve the Glorious God. Since the other party was polite then he had to remain respectful.
Regardless, considering her intention, he had to ensure whether she was worthy enough for the Glorious God’s consciousness to descend or not. "Your eyes are so mystical, lady. It is a bit unfair because you know so much about me while I know nothing about you. May I have the honor of knowing at least your name and origin, lady?"
"How impolite of me. I am Kitsune from Sacred Sakura, the Elysion Church’s ally and also the Heavenly Palace’s affiliate. Also, we only heard about you from rumors. We don’t really know about you, Sir Galashiels." Elysia covered her mouth and introduced herself gracefully.
"Lady Kitsune, such an elegant name." Galashiels stroked his beard and nodded in understanding, hiding his cold sweat.
Fortunately, he made the right choice to resolve the matter about the Elysion Church peacefully, but he still had to ensure a good outcome later. Otherwise, Stevia Empire suffer greatly.
"Sacred Sakura is the Elysion Church’s ally and also the Heavenly Palace’s affiliate... Heavenly Palace, why does this name feel familiar?" Galashiels pondered about it.
It took him a few seconds to recognize the name. The Heavenly Palace, the strongest force in the Divine World! He wasn’t actually the Glorious God’s incarnation, but the Glorious God left a divine fragment in his soul, treating him as a vessel for the God. The Glorious God mentioned it in the past, warning him to never offend the Heavenly Palace and anyone related to it.
"Are, are you really Heavenly Palace’s affiliate?" Galashiels asked to be sure.
"Do you think we are swindlers? Alright, don’t do it then. Just inform him to meet us. If he refuses, we can always convey our intention to him within three or four days." Elysia heaved a subtle sigh and shook her head.
The Heavenly Palace’s token was super useful for proving her affiliation, but she was reluctant to take it out again.
"..."
"..."
Galashiels fell silent as he was conflicted with the decision. He might be severely punished if he unreasonably calls Glorious God to descend upon him. However, although it had not been clearly proven, it was a request from the Heavenly Palace’s affiliate.
Elysia also remained silent. She glanced at Vanessa with a fleeting thought. This world was something else, but fortunately, the Imperial Palace was not as complicated as the Temple of Glory.
"If you can’t come to a decision, then we shouldn’t bother you any longer. Please be on your way. We shall remain here for a while longer to watch how our priests beat your people." Elysia flapped her hand, sending Galashiels away.
"Please forgive me, lady. It’s not because I don’t want to fulfill your request, but I can’t do it as one’s please. Please wait a moment. I shall report it to the Glorious God and ask for his decision." Galashiels clasped his fist to pay his respect before going into the void.
He hoped to build a good relationship with the mysterious powerful expert, especially since she came to convey something important. Sadly, she didn’t wish to convey anything to him. It had to be the Glorious God...
"Just a piece of advice for your own good, lady. Please don’t let your true identity and whereabouts known or you shall invite the calamity upon yourself and this land. You may hold a mighty power, but you shouldn’t be arrogant. Those old monsters will go crazy just to obtain a piece of you." Galashiels left a piece of kind advice via voice transmission.
"Thank you for your advice. We won’t cause trouble for this land." Elysia faintly smiled.
In a few hours, she would bring Yuuki here. With two nine-tailed foxes, they would bring double the calamity before they left for the forbidden region in the extreme north. But it would take place later in another place.
As for the Martial Arts Competition, the originally three-day event somehow became shortened to two days, thanks to the qualifying round which was accelerated due to the involvement of Elysion Chruch’s representatives and more capable experts in the fray. The unqualified for the primary placement were quickly eliminated from the competition.
Seeing the guest had left, Vanessa leaned closer and rubbed her cheek against her master’s arm. "He doesn’t know what’s good for him, master."
"Mm, we came to convey the information and confirm a few things." Elysia shrugged her shoulders. She flicked her fingers, transforming her chair into a long garden bench.
"Hngh~" Vanessa lay on her master’s lap, and her master stroked her while watching the match.
The one who concerned Elysia the most was Jophiel. She did ask Jophiel to cause some trouble for the hostile factions, but Jophiel’s beauty caused many young prodigies to be captivated. Since Jophiel would also go to slay the Demon King, most of them eagerly joined the hero expedition team.
’Thankfully, Jophi is a charm demoness, not a lust demoness.’ Elysia felt a little relieved in her mind.
’Mm, we’ve several obedient, good demonesses in the family now.’ Elena chuckled in amusement.
