Chapter 105 - 105 105 How did you know
?Chapter 105: Chapter 105: How did you know? Chapter 105: Chapter 105: How did you know? Luo Ning and Ji Xinghang entered the door and saw Jiang Xinxin and a few others sitting in the living room waiting.
Jiang Xinxin warmly smiled and beckoned at Luo Ning, “Ningning, come and sit here.”
“Mom!” Luo Ning walked over and sat beside her, then greeted Qi Yuelan and Mr. Ji.
Ji Xinghang also called out to Jiang Xinxin, “Hello, Aunt Jiang!”
Jiang Xinxin looked at Ji Xinghang with a complex expression, quickly composed herself, and nodded slightly in greeting.
Luo Xi affectionately looked at Luo Ning and greeted, “Sister.”
“Did you bring the baby with you?” he asked with a smile.
Knowing her brother’s fondness for small animals, Luo Ning opened her backpack and took out the little creature.
Since the weather was hot, she had changed into a dress and thus had no pockets.
So she had laid a small blanket inside the backpack for the baby to sleep on, which it really liked.
Then Luo Ning handed the baby to Luo Xi, “Here, hold it for a while!”
“Thanks, sis!” Luo Xi smiled and carefully held the baby in his arms.
The little guy was still small and sleepy, and settled comfortably in Luo Xi’s arms, rubbing his hand before continuing to sleep.
Ji Xinghang presumably wore a talisman drawn by Luo Ning, with her scent on it, plus his constitution, which made it comfortable for the creature to be in his arms in this weather.
Others also found the little creature adorable.
Mr. Ji had heard about the Ink Monkey before, and upon seeing it for the first time, he couldn’t help but want to play with it.
He reached out to scratch it, but the baby dodged him.
The little one was very particular about who it allowed to touch and hold it.
Since returning from the deserted island, it had only let Lu Xun pet it, and Tong Jia and others who wanted to touch it were all avoided.
Mr. Ji: “…”
Then he turned to Ji Xinghang and said, “The baby won’t let me touch it. Is it because it doesn’t like you?”
It seemed that from a young age, his son had never been much favored by animals.
Ji Xinghang: “…” He had to take the blame for this too; his dad was really something.
Then everyone went to the dining room to eat together.
Jiang Xinxin and Qi Yuelan asked about Luo Ning’s situation on the island.
Mr. Ji also chimed in from time to time, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Seeing that Luo Ning had finished eating, Mr. Ji also put down his chopsticks and asked with a smile, “Ningning, do you have time in the next two days?”
Luo Ning nodded, “I’m available. Is there something you need, Uncle Ji?”
Mr. Ji said with a smile, “There’s something going on in a friend’s family, so I was hoping you could help take a look.”
With the earlier incident at the Wu Jianfeng’s house and her abilities in Feng Shui and talismans showcased on the live show, combined with the publicity from him and Old Wu, she had gained some fame in the circle, which is why they approached him for help.
Luo Ning nodded and smiled, “No problem. Just let me know the time, Uncle Ji.”
Business was looking up quickly, which was good.
“I’ll give them a call.” Mr. Ji took out his phone and dialed.
After a few words, he hung up, “Ningning, tomorrow morning at ten o’clock, does that work for you?”
“No problem. Uncle Ji, just send me the location; I’ll drive there myself tomorrow,” Luo Ning replied.
Mr. Ji, seeing his son who had been silent all along, and even seemed to be daydreaming, wanted to roll his eyes; how had he raised such a clueless son?
“At times like this, shouldn’t someone quickly offer to drive to pick up Luo Ning?”
The son was uncooperative, and he had no choice but to agree, “Alright!”
After dinner, and sitting for a while longer, Jiang Xinxin suggested they leave.
Early the next morning, Luo Ning drove to the agreed location.
Mr. Ji and a middle-aged woman stood waiting at the entrance of the villa.
As soon as Luo Ning got out of the car, Mr. Ji introduced her with a smile, “This is Liu Hongxue, you can call her Aunt Liu.”
“Hello, Aunt Liu!” Luo Ning greeted her first.
Liu Hongxue looked somewhat weary but managed a forced smile, “Hello, Master Luo!”
She had already learned quite a bit about Luo Ning. She had spoken on the phone with Wu Jianfeng, who had always addressed Luo Ning as Master Luo, so she did the same.
“Aunt Liu, let’s go see your son first,” Luo Ning said. Mr. Ji had already briefed her about the Liu Family’s situation before she arrived.
Liu Hongxue was a well-known entrepreneur with a publicly listed company, which she had started with her husband.
Unfortunately, her husband had died suddenly from an acute illness five years ago. They had a son, Xiang Bin, who had just graduated from university this year and had joined the company, performing very well.
However, a month ago, after attending a company dinner, Xiang Bin began having nightmares.
He repeatedly had the same nightmare every night, which greatly affected him, and he even fell ill, recently taking time off from work to recuperate at home.
The hospital found nothing wrong with him. Initially, Liu Hongxue didn’t think much of it, assuming her son might just be too tired.
But after a month, she felt something was wrong. Having heard about Wu Jianfeng’s situation, she thought of asking Luo Ning for help.
“He’s waiting in the living room, Master Luo, please,” Liu Hongxue said.
Luo Ning and Mr. Ji followed her into the house and saw a pale, frail-looking young man seated in the living room.
“Hello, Uncle Ji. Hello, Master Luo!” Xiang Bin weakly struggled to stand and greet them.
Seeing him like this, Mr. Ji was taken aback. He had seen Xiang Bin just two months ago, and back then, the young man was vibrant and lively; now, he looked as though he had been hollowed out.
“Please, sit down,” he said immediately upon seeing Xiang Bin’s frail condition.
After sitting down, Luo Ning looked at Xiang Bin and quickly spotted the problem.
She was the first to speak, “Are you married?”
Xiang Bin was startled, not expecting Luo Ning to ask this as soon as she arrived, but he answered truthfully, “No, I don’t even have a girlfriend yet.”
“Is this related to what we are here to discuss?” he couldn’t help asking.
Luo Ning nodded, “It is related because your marriage palace shows you are already married.”
“Ah!” Xiang Bin and Liu Hongxue were both stunned, not understanding what Luo Ning meant.
Luo Ning continued, “I heard you keep having the same nightmare every day. Is there a woman in red appearing in these dreams?”
Initially, Xiang Bin thought Luo Ning’s earlier comments were absurd and didn’t believe she could solve his problem.
But at her question, he was instantly taken aback, “How did you know?”
Liu Hongxue was also surprised, because she hadn’t told Ji Xiao or anyone else about the content of her son’s nightmares.
That meant Luo Ning had discerned it on her own.
“Master Luo, is there something wrong with my son’s nightmare?” she asked.
Then she recalled the question Luo Ning had just asked, her expression changing, “You just said my son’s marriage palace shows he’s married; is it related to the woman in his dreams?”
Luo Ning nodded, “Yes, your son is married to the woman in his dreams through an underworld marriage, which is why he keeps having the nightmares.”
“That’s impossible, my son has never undergone any underworld marriage,” she said in disbelief.
Xiang Bin also shook his head, “Although I can’t see the woman’s face clearly in the dream, I’m sure I’ve never met her before, so how could I possibly be married to her?”
