He quickly pushed Kiara aside.
Kiara, holding a bag of flour, looked innocent.
“I’m just pouring the flour.”
“Sister! You poured a whole bag of alkaline flour, and oh my, you even mixed it with half of the regular flour! You were mixing it for so long!”
If Patrick hadn’t noticed it, everyone might not have had Braised Pork tonight, and they probably wouldn’t even have steamed buns to eat; that stuff turned into buns would have knocked everyone out.
“Ah? Who uses this stuff instead of baking powder to make steamed buns these days?” Kiara was still puzzled why the texture felt wrong; it turns out this wasn’t flour after all, and she had poured… quite a bit.
“You still talk back after making a mistake! Go, go stand over there!” Patrick chased Kiara away, and when he saw the pile of “incriminating evidence” she had created, he felt a headache coming on.
He quickly waved over other team members, “Oliver Moss, go hold the Cooking Squad people off for me. You two, hurry and help me destroy the evidence! We definitely can’t let the Squad see this stuff; otherwise, it would ruin our team’s reputation.”
