Shard approached the window with his sword in hand, reaching out to draw back the crimson curtains, but as his hand was about to touch the seemingly high-quality fabric, a large mouth suddenly emerged from the curtains, attempting to bite his hand.

Shard withdrew his hand, and the curtain returned to normal.

He turned around and walked towards the door when suddenly, the sound of cracking and popping echoed once more from the second floor.

Shard didn’t believe the changes were caused by him, as he truly hadn’t done anything.

“Can you feel anything?” he asked in his mind.

“Nothing at all.”

Shard pursed his lips and decided not to wait in the room any longer. The malice of Sin Mansion was showing itself to him, and who knew what would happen if he stayed there. At least according to his peculiar intuition, leaving the room as quickly as possible was the right choice.

He moved swiftly towards the door, reaching out to grasp the doorknob, but at that moment, a knocking sound came.

There was only the sound of knocking, no voice. Shard’s left hand hesitated for a moment and then quickly retracted. He took a step back and raised his longsword.

The knocking lasted for more than ten seconds before stopping, but then, black sewage began to flow in from under the door.
