Chapter 967: I Really Hate The Monarchs Of Pangea, You Know?

"This is indeed a fascinating creature, Master," Evuvug said as soon as Zion appeared inside the Domain of the Apocalypse, with Princess Aracelle in tow.

"I know, Evuvug," Thirteen replied. "Make it lay as many eggs as possible."

"But Master, even if we hasten the growth period of the Moths, they still won't be ready in time for the upcoming war," Evuvug commented.

"They won't be used for the upcoming war." Thirteen looked at the mind-controlled Nightkiss Moth with a smirk. "There are still future wars."

"Understood, Master. I'll do my best."

"Mmm."

The teenage boy then returned to Rocky's Mobile Fortress to check Tiona's condition.

She had still not woken up ever since Kamrusepa returned her unconscious. Thirteen had no idea what happened to his black snake because the Majin Princess wouldn't tell him anything.

She only assured him that Tiona wasn't in any sort of danger. In fact, Kamrusepa even told him that he would be very thankful for the gift she had given Tiona.

"Wake up soon, Tiona," Thirteen said softly as he lightly brushed the black snake's head tenderly, making Princess Aracelle feel a little jealous of the black snake, whose eyes were still open even though it was sleeping.

Pica and Pico had been keeping an eye on her every day, and both of them were also worried about their Big Sis, who had yet to wake up.

"She's very important to you?" Princess Aracelle asked.

"Yes," Thirteen replied. "She's been with me for many years and is one of my trusted confidants."

A few minutes later, the teenage boy's communicator made a notification sound.

Seeing that the caller was Monarch of the Griffin Clan, Douglas, Thirteen could tell that this was something very important.

After tapping the accept button, Douglas' projection appeared in front of him.

"Zion, I'd like to get your honest opinion," Douglas said through gritted teeth. "Can we win even without the Ashford and Stallard Clan helping us? They're still trying to blackmail me, but if this continent falls, my people and I will be homeless.

"The majority of those who have evacuated from here moved to the Sirius Continent, and the Ashford and Stallard Clans plan to absorb them under their wing the moment we lose this war.

"I need a guarantee from you that we can win. Because if not, even if I hate it, I will have no choice but to become their subordinate for the sake of my people."

Thirteen stared at the Monarch with a calm expression on his face.

"I can't guarantee you we will win this war," Thirteen replied. "There are too many variables involved, and the mutation of the gates is also very worrying.

"However, if you agree to ally yourself with the Central Government and the Leventis Family, I can guarantee that you and your people will be treated much better by us than by those two."

Douglas pinched the bridge of his nose. "All of you guys are trying to take advantage of me. But choosing your side seems a lot better than choosing the side of those bastards."

Thirteen smirked. "At least, the Central Government is serious in helping humanity win this war. Aaron and Norman only want to get as many benefits as they can from you before this continent falls. I'm sure you understand which side truly wants to help, right?"

"I know." Douglas waved his hand impatiently. "I might have done many stupid things in the past, but I am no fool. I know who really wants to help me. But Zion, you're not one of those people."

"That's right." Thirteen nodded. "I really hate the Monarchs of Pangea, you know?"

Douglas snorted after hearing the teenage boy's reply. However, he preferred to deal with an honest person rather than those who would stab him in the back if an opportunity presented itself.

"Very well. I will talk with Arthur and Lawrence after this chat of ours is over," Douglas stated. "However, answer me truthfully. Do we really not stand a chance of winning this war?"

"That will depend on your definition of winning, Sir," Thirteen replied. "If your definition of winning is ridding the continent of the Jinns, then I don't think that's possible. However, if your definition of winning is to retain some lands for your people to live in peacefully, then the odds are much better."

"How high are those odds?" Douglas inquired.

"Around twenty percent," Thirteen answered without hesitation.

"Twenty percent…" Douglas frowned. "Fine, I'll take that chance. From now on, the Griffin Clan will become the allies of the Central Government and the Leventis Family.

"Unfortunately, I can't speak on behalf of the Lotte, Gates, and Bishop Families. Aaron and Norman are trying to win them as we speak. I'm sure both of them are buttering them up with promises as long as they agree to become their subordinates as well."

Thirteen nodded in understanding. Frankly, he had already prepared a plan before the invasion started, and after it ended.

Arthur, Tristan, and Lawrence already knew about his plans, so regardless of whether the Jinns conquer the Cygni Continent or not, things will still proceed as normal.

"By the way, Sir Douglas, I have a proposal to make," Thirteen said with a devilish smile on his face. "Since they are already trying to blackmail you, why don't we blackmail them in return? You will be at a disadvantage if you act passively. Take the initiative and burn the bridges before they can get off of it."

"I'm listening," Douglas commented with interest. "If I can f*ck those two up, I won't mind severing ties with them today."

He was fed up with getting threatened by the two greedy Monarchs, who were lusting for the accumulated resources of the Griffin Clan in both Pangea and Solterra.

"Good." Thirteen nodded. "Now, here is what we're going to do."

The teenage boy then explained his plan to the Monarch, making the latter laugh out loud.

"You really want to pit us against each other, huh?" Douglas said after his laughter ended. "You really hate us Monarchs, huh?"

"I do." Thirteen answered. "But my hate for you will at least decrease if you and I are on the same side."

"I don't know what's worse," Douglas said wryly. "Getting blackmailed by my former comrades or getting blackmailed by you."

Douglas let out a long and deep sigh before diving into a serious discussion with Zion about the teenage boy's bold proposal—using blackmail to put the two Monarchs in the spotlight and make them taste their own medicine.
