Chapter 157 – School

Late at night, thick clouds shrouded the moon and stars.

"Fzzz—crack—"

By the roadside outside the school gate, moths circled an old street lamp, flickering frequently due to a poor electrical connection.

Under the intermittent light, the school's old-fashioned sliding iron gate was tightly shut, with a rusty padlock hanging on it and a "No Entry" sign.

The four red paint characters of "No Entry" had become twisted and mottled from years of exposure to the elements.

Beside it was the guard room, its glass window broken and sealed with moldy wooden slats, the bottom half pried open.

They climbed through the window into the guard room, then exited through the inner door into No. 11 Middle School.
