The Vastness of Magical Destiny

Chapter 75 - 75 3 Undead Warrior

Chapter 75 - 75 3 Undead Warrior

?Chapter 75: Chapter 3: Undead Warrior Chapter 75: Chapter 3: Undead Warrior Anger flashed in his eyes, the calm and warmth from before had vanished without a trace, Malone was truly enraged. He had not expected that each wave of attacks from his opponent was meant to kill him, especially the last move that contained a strong essence of Dark Magic within the Wood Magic, proving that this man was indeed a Magic genius who could ingeniously blend Dark Magic with Elemental Magic without a seam. If not for his vigilance, the pus that infiltrated everything would have already contaminated his body, and perhaps he would have turned into a mere skeleton. However, even so, to defend against the highly penetrative, active pus, he had no choice but to use the Holy Light Protection. This protective spell, which should not be used unless absolutely necessary, consumed a substantial amount of Mana, and his Mana was not yet powerful enough to ignore such wastage. Thus, as soon as the active vines left his body, Malone quickly withdrew the protection spell.

He couldn’t stay on the defensive like this, he must attack! Without any hesitation, Malone placed his palms together, then with a fierce separation, a huge Light Ball sprung into the air between his hands and instantly transformed into a dense rain of light spheres* sweeping toward Komer. The mighty divine shock of the Light Ball brought waves of Holy Light, locking Komer in his gray cloak within its network.

Having anticipated this, Komer also knew his adversary would not just sit by and wait for death. The moment his corrosive magic vine attack failed, he was already silently reciting a spell in preparation. Upon seeing the countless Light Balls materializing in the hands of the Purple-robed Priest, Komer didn’t hesitate to prick the tip of his index finger. The dark red Blood beads, being cursed by a spell, inflated endlessly at a moment’s notice, forming a huge, semi-transparent, purplish-red barrier that floated up in the air, appearing quite eerie.

The Light Ball enshrouded with infinite Holy Light unreservedly collided with the Sky Demon Cocoon that seemed like a transparent membrane. As the two magic forces with completely different properties met, it was like cold water suddenly being thrown into hot oil, causing a violent reaction. The purple-red light film immediately turned into countless wave-like ripples under the ear-piercing tearing sound, spreading out in all directions. The space began to twist violently at that moment, and the Light Ball dissipated into nothingness upon colliding with the membrane that carried the boundless Dark Devouring Force.

Komer’s face turned pale in an instant, while the flush showing on the face of the Purple-robed Priest revealed some of the strain from unleashing the powerful “Holy Light Illumination.” Seeing the appearance of the Purple-robed Priest, Komer’s pale face showed a cold smile, thinking that he needed to get serious if he was going to leave this place today. A series of strange runes formed in his hands, and the peculiar twisting motion of his fingers spun rapidly, as two eerie figures materialized before the Purple-robed Priest.

Two Skeleton Warriors, each two meters tall, appeared unexpectedly in front of the Priest, one wielding a rust-stained Iron Lance, the other carrying a huge Tower Shield and a blackened Curved Metal Chains. Their blank eye sockets lifelessly stared at the Purple-robed Priest whose face suddenly turned grave. Accompanied by the creaking footsteps, they approached the Priest step by step. A great rotting stench filled the air, and with the revival of Magic power, the movements of the Skeleton Warriors became more fluid. Their Spear and Sword and Shield swung continuously, clearly preparing for attack, as the black Mist continuously emitted from their dark mouths dispersed into the surroundings. Even the nearby bushes couldn’t withstand the immense corrosive stench, as their leaves started to spot and fall off.

“You have truly revealed your real face, Your Excellency Baron, it seems I must show some real skill if I am to leave here today,” said the Purple-robed Priest, extremely serious yet without a hint of nervousness in his voice, “This is perfect, let me see what’s so mystical about Necromancy.”

“With the Red Conch at hand, rise!” Like a flame surging up, a red light slowly seeped from the body of the Purple-robed Priest as he chanted the spell, and the orange-red light, spinning like a top, swiftly swirled around him, a giant tower-shaped Light Shield winding layer by layer to envelope his entire body. At the same time, Malone moved with extraordinary agility, sliding out a magic wand of human height from his wide sleeves, and with a light touch, a fist-sized Fireball formed above the crystal at the top of the wand. His finger swept past the Fireball, and with a sudden flick forward, it shot up without warning, transforming into countless star-like Fire Nets, pouncing toward the frenzied Skeleton Warrior with the Lance. The Skeleton Warrior, unable to dodge, was engulfed by the fire stars, its white bones flickering with a faint blue Flame, but this did not affect the Skeleton Warrior’s Attack power.

Confronting the madly dashing skeleton warrior, although it was sizzling in the azure flames engulfing its entire body, it was apparent that this skeleton warrior had been specially cultivated and trained. Astonishingly, it could endure the invincible holy fire borrowed from the heavenly realm for quite some time without falling. Not only did it not fall, but its movements even seemed more ferocious and agile. The rust-spotted iron spear it wielded whistled through the air as it thrust directly at the priest, forcing Malone to utilize a simple Trace Evasion Technique to dodge the physical assassination attempt. Meanwhile, another swordsman skeleton warrior, rattling its sparse skeleton, had finished its initial preparations and joined the fray.

Facing the pincer attack of two skeleton warriors, the purple-robed priest had evidently not expected that these necromantic creatures would not fear his “Holy Fire Redemption” technique; a holy fire capable of purging all things of dark magic essence seemed unable to completely incinerate a mere skeleton after burning for so long. This almost made Malone doubt his own proficiency in holy power. If he hadn’t seen the spear-wielding skeleton finally crumble to ash under the holy fire, Malone would have had a hard time believing his own eyes.

Watching his carefully cultivated skeleton warrior fall into ashes with some regret, Komer had to admit that the opponent’s holy power indeed had some merit. He had originally thought that the skeleton warrior, forged by both his dark magic power and elemental magic, should have been able to resist such so-called holy light or holy fire from the heavenly realm. However, much to Komer’s disappointment, even so, the inherently dark nature of the skeleton warrior still could not withstand its natural nemesis. Nevertheless, seeing the skeleton warrior, which usually turned to ash at the touch of such holy fire, endure for so long, Komer still felt that his cultivation was not without results. He believed that, eventually, by selecting materials of even better quality for cultivation, equipping armors that protect against holy attributes, and enhancing its resistance to dark essence, he would eventually develop an undead creature capable of withstanding those self-righteous paladins.

The swordsman finally became enveloped by the Holy Fire Sky Net as it closed in on the purple-robed priest, and this skeleton warrior clearly lacked the quality of the previously fallen spear-wielding warrior. In merely two rounds, the swordsman collapsed with a roar in the burning white luminous flames, and the battlefield returned to the starting point.

Once again, their gazes met in the air. The priest’s eyes were full of disdain and pity, while Komer’s eyes held cold murderous intent, devoid of any emotion, which made the purple-robed priest’s heart involuntarily contract.

“Heh heh, Sir Malone, it seems that this battle will not end until one of us perishes. So be it, let Sir Malone witness my abilities for the first and perhaps the last time!” Without any superfluous words, Komer’s gaze, carrying a chill, finally retracted, and an antique pouch slowly floated up before him.

Under the watchful eye of the purple-robed priest, a corpse leaped from the pouch and in the blink of an eye multiplied geometrically in the air. After two amazing folds, the corpse transformed into the size of a real person. Its golden skin indicated the corpse had undergone some strange experience while alive. The elaborate and compact attire suggested that this person was no ordinary individual, and the indifferent gaze in the pupils provoked a chill deep within the normally fearless purple-robed priest.

“Sir Malone, I greatly admire your holy arts. Of course, my companion from the dark underworld is even more eager to witness your supreme holy arts, and we hope you will kindly enlighten us,” Komer said with a macabre smirk, effortlessly erasing any need for explanation. He lightly pointed a finger, and his spiritual power was also cast without delay into the body of the seemingly sleepwalking corpse, “Go, let Sir Malone from the Bright Holy Teaching give us a good lesson.”
