Chapter 61 - 61 61 Thats what witchcraft is like_1

?Chapter 61: Chapter 61 That’s what witchcraft is like!_1 Chapter 61: Chapter 61 That’s what witchcraft is like!_1 Death constantly collided and obliterated.

Skeletons kept piling up and trampling on each other.

The battle of the undead converged into a splendid symphony, forming long lines of performance, gradually rising toward a dense climax.

Ultimately, as the performance neared its peak amidst constant shaking… it was interrupted.

“Tuck, Tuck, wake up quickly!”

Tuck, slowly opening his eyes, shoved away Taniru, who was frantically shaking him.

This guy must have been trying to push me over on purpose!

“What’s happening?” Tuck rubbed his brow.

This guy really knew how to pick his moment, Tuck was just about to completely cleanse the pollution from the Dark Sun.

But he was woken up by Taniru.

Lucky I don’t have OCD. Otherwise, Taniru would have had to shed some blood today.

“It’s getting hard to hold the line,” Taniru pointed outside.

“It’s been just over a day since the outbreak of Undead, weren’t we supposed to hold for two or three days?”

“Moreover, I didn’t feel any danger at all.”

Tuck’s brow furrowed slightly.

As he got up and looked outside.

Ignorance had been bliss, but one glance changed everything.

“So the slow ones end up in the front, huh!”

Tuck remembered that when he was sitting in meditation to cleanse, the rock ledges on both sides of the canyon in front were filled with Spellcasters and Necromancers.

Tuck and his group were positioned mostly in the back.

But now, just one day later,

all of those Spellcasters had run to the back.

Now, this second-floor small fortress had become the real front-line fortress.

And the Spellcasters were still quite far from it.

The current situation highlighted one thing—”alone and unaided.”

Around the small fortress floated undead creatures, continually assaulting it.

Thankfully, these walls came from the Grand Barrier World.

If these had been ordinary walls, these ghostly undead could have probably drifted through in minutes to claim lives.

Below, Armanti’s Talent Ability points also seemed to be all invested in the skeleton undead.

For these ghostly undead, there was a bit of helplessness.

As for Taniru,

being a Priest, he might as well have wacked them with a hammer for all the damage he could do.

“This time’s Undercurrent is quite peculiar; it’s resulted in a particularly large number of undead creatures.”

“Especially these ghostly creatures, they’re fiercely aggressive, and those Necromancers lack effective countermeasures, they just slipped away, a bunch of cowards who fear death more than anything,” Taniru cursed.

Meanwhile, Tuck glanced outside at the more agile ghostly creatures.

He got up, limbered up a bit, and his gaze locked onto the floating undead.

I can let you run 40 meters ahead.

What? You don’t run? Well, then I’m sorry.

Tuck lifted his hand, and a Fire Oil Bullet was released.

Impregnated with Holy Breath, in addition to being a Special Flame Damage on its own, the Fire Oil Bullet exploded with a “poom” on contact with the undead.

Then, the ghostly undead, smeared with a large amount of Fire Oil, was directly ignited.

The inflamed wraith let out a piercing scream, darting around in a frenzy, flying wildly, exuding an urgent desperation.

It even managed to transfer some of the Fire Oil to two other unlucky ghostly creatures.

The two wraiths smeared with Fire Oil also let out shrill screams.

Soon, the ignited wraith no longer ran because it was completely burned to death by Tuck’s flames.

And the Fire Oil, as those few ghosts died, fell down, spread out on the ground, continued to glow and heat, inflicting burn damage to the dense ghostly skeletons on the ground.

Tuck’s move had a clear deterrent effect on those attacking ghostly creatures.

Perhaps they didn’t possess much intelligence, but they understood what fear meant.

The sharp, woeful wailing of their kind was precisely that fear.

As one Fire Oil Bullet after another flew out.

One by one, the wraiths were set ablaze as “will-o’-the-wisps,” flying wildly in the air and carrying the Fire Oil to farther locations.

“Ah… this…”

Tuck’s witchcraft was undoubtedly once again challenging Taniru’s understanding.

Even Armanti, relieved from the crisis, looked up from the small stairwell.

“How come your fireball…”

Taniru gestured in the air with his hands, even though Tuck had no idea what he was miming.

“Can stick to the bodies of ghostly creatures, and even… the flames cause such intense damage to them?”

Watching those “will-o’-the-wisps” juggle in the air,

Tuck simply said.

“First off, that’s called a Fire Oil Bullet, not a fireball.”

“Secondly… isn’t that what witchcraft is all about?”

Taniru opened his mouth to speak, feeling insulted on behalf of his intelligence.

“Damn it, witchcraft is not like this.”

Taniru vehemently argued in his mind.

He looked at those undead being coated with Fire Oil, continuously scorched by flames.

Tuck’s Precision allowed him to deeply understand and then reinforce his Fire Oil Bullet through the System.

Coupled with the Sculpting Light Spear, a perfect synergy was formed.

The burning light that blossoms is the Holy Light, which naturally overcomes the undead.

What? You don’t have an SSS Level Transcendent Talent to perceive the details of witchcraft sequences and enhance them with the system?

Oh! Then never mind!

Soon, the “Ghost” creatures wafting around were cleanly purged by Tuck’s fireballs.

Not to mention those nearby, those like headstrong children, relentless in their attack.

Even the Ghosts that attempted to flee could not escape Tuck’s precision Fire Oil Bullets.

With the death of dozens of “Ghostly” creatures,

Armanti was able to stabilize the front line once again.

In the vanguard stood the Heavy Shield Skeletons.

Behind the Shield Skeletons was a certain number of Skeleton Archers.

Further back were some Undead Spellcasters.

Even, in order to protect those Undead Spellcasters, Taniru had surrounded them with shields.

A very standard formation, coupled with reinforcements from the Undead Territory and efficient conversion,

makes Armanti’s defense utterly impenetrable.

“How are the harvests going?”

Tuck stuck his head out, looking down toward Armanti from the top of the small staircase.

“Quite good,” Armanti nodded.

Apart from some initial confusion, Armanti was now able to control his Undead army with a composed ease even in the face of overwhelming forces.

“Those ordinary bone skeletons don’t have many Transcendent Characteristics. But, those Silver Bone Skeletons can yield some extraordinary Ghostly Attributes.”

“The skeletons possessing a slight golden sheen produce even better Ghostly Attributes when killed.”

“These three Shadow materials are specifically for you.”

Armanti casually tossed the items up to him.

Tuck caught them nimbly, examined them carefully, and then securely stowed them away.

All three crystals were condensed “Shadow” Attributes.

Their levels ranged from 13 to 16.

“With a few more pieces of Shadow material and the ‘Leader Level’ quality of Shadow Attribute, the Shadow Ring Staff will be upgradeable to Third Rank.”

Ordinary Shadow Attributes, sediment within, can only serve as the experience for upgrading, becoming a stepping stone.

As for the “Leader” quality Shadow Attributes, they are inherently sharp “spears.”

They can induce a Transcendent equipment to undergo a metamorphosis in its hierarchy.

Tuck looked out at the Undead Skeleton army.

What he saw was no longer danger but walking “Shadow” raw materials.

The dark and deathly ecology of extraterritorial Undead is also capable of breeding “Shadow Attributes.”

It was relatively easy for Tuck to obtain Shadow Attribute materials by ordering Armanti to kill a large number of Skeleton Undead.

And, should he miss this opportunity, it would be much harder to obtain such “Shadow Attributes” later on.

Tuck, who had settled back down,

turned his senses towards the ecology of Wizards.

Firstly, there was the residual contamination of the Dark Sun.

That extremely thin contamination, under the illumination of the sequence shadow of [Sculpting Light Spear], would be burned clean by the Holy Light in a few days, even if Tuck did not actively clean it up himself.

The issue of Dark Sun contamination was, for the most part, resolved.

Next up was Tuck’s shedding of the [Protection] Attribute tied to Ramore Tower’s Steam Ecology.

It was unclear if it was due to Taniru’s Priest spells of “Breeding” and “Recovery,”

or because Tuck was currently enduring the onslaught from the ecology of a Different Domain,

or perhaps it was a combination of the two.

It had only been just over a day.

Yet, Tuck found that the effect of shedding his home ecology’s [Protection] was surprisingly good.

It was comparable to the results of a whole week before.

This visit to the Undead Rift area truly couldn’t have been more timely.

“In another two days, or at most three, I should be able to initially shed my dependency on Ramore’s ecological protection.”

“By then, even if Ramore Steam Tower becomes contaminated, I won’t instantly mutate out of control and become an accompanying sacrifice for Ramore.”

With such thoughts, Tuck rubbed his temples.

The struggle against Transcendent ecologies is always this intense.

If the pond is polluted, how could the fish within hope to survive?

Raising his head, Tuck looked upward.

Above him was the oppressive ceiling of the cavernous Barrier.

But through the Tower’s ecology and his own connections, Tuck could see Ramore Tower Steam City being continuously eroded by the Power of the Dark Sun.

It was at the time of Tuck’s arrival at the cavern that the Dark Sun Ceremony had erupted.

During that period, the speed of contamination spread was the fastest.

Now, although the speed had slowed down, the contaminated area was still considerable.

Tuck was unsure of the outcome at this stage.

He could only wait for Mr. Aubrey’s return for an update.

All he could do was make a hefty profit here while he could, after all, no one knew if such an opportunity would present itself again in the future.

If Mr. Aubrey returns and says there’s no need to flee,

this harvest will be a sure gain.

If evacuation is necessary, Taniru is right beside him.

Tuck believed that this guy must have already planned an escape route.

At the very least, Tuck himself also had an escape plan.

A true Wizard, when faced with danger, must have multiple contingencies, not just one… but three!
