?Chapter 200: 200?Sweet Crit (5)_1 Chapter 200: 200?Sweet Crit (5)_1 Jian Qing made a U-turn, the car tires grinding against the rough ground, creating a “squeak” noise that was rather harsh on the ears.

Through the car mirror, Jian Qing watched Baxter’s disheveled state, a playful smirk gracing her lips as she waved her hand at him.

“Catch you later, Baxter!”

After finishing her sentence, Jian Qing stepped on the accelerator. Her black-purple car, like a victorious monarch, sped off towards the finish line at its own pace.

Compared to her, Baxter seemed to have experienced a rather brutal defeat.

Watching the receding silhouette of the car, Baxter’s face darkened, his hand slamming against the steering wheel.

Damn it!

His defeat shocked everyone, leaving them speechless for quite some time.

Only when the black-purple car crossed the finish line, and its driver, an imposing femme fatale, stepped out and seized the black flag of victory, did the spectators finally come to their senses.

Thrilling, these mere words may not suffice to explain this car race.

It was literally a matter of life and death!

Thunderous applause erupted from the audience as they stared at the victorious lady beneath them holding the black flag.

“Jian Qing! Jian Qing! Jian Qing!”

“Jian Qing, so cool!”

“Jian Qing is so handsome!”

The tall, shapely figure oozed an intimidating aura that outshined everything else under the sky.

“Jian Qing might become famous in A City after this.” Han Yue chuckled. Given the number of rich kids here today, the news of this race will be everywhere in no time.

Quan Mingxuan chuckled. Even Daniel, who was beside him, looked agitated. If he didn’t know that Zero was a man and what he looked like, he would definitely mistake Jian Qing for Zero. Their racing techniques were almost identical.

Quan Jingwu stood up, a glint of awareness flashed in his violet eyes as he watched the approaching figure.

Jian Qing strode over to the VIP stand, the crowd making way for her, a look of excitement in their eyes as they watched her pass by.

Upon closer inspection, they found her dangerously attractive. A real femme fatale, they all seemed to agree.

Jian Qing stopped in front of Quan Jingwu, holding up the black flag in her hand. Grinning, she asked, “Xiaojing, was it exciting?”

“Terrific!” he nodded.

“Well, my trophy for you!” She handed the black flag to him with a beaming smile.

Quan Jingwu stared at her, his violet eyes reflecting her radiant face. His thin lips curved slightly.

“You don’t like it?” Jian Qing asked when she saw he wasn’t taking the flag.

Quan Jingwu raised his eyebrows, a glint in his eyes. With one swift movement, he pulled her close, his hand cupping the back of her head, and bent down to kiss her.

He had wanted to do this the moment she got out of the car and seized the flag.

He knew from the start just how brilliant, how eye-catching his precious girl was. And all he wanted was to keep her to himself, to be the only one privy to her beauty and her talents.

“Sss-”
“Wow, so romantic!”

The sudden display of affection left the crowd reeling from the sweet shock.

Han Yue shook his head. He always knew the couple couldn’t go a day without showing off their love.

Look away, please! Look away!

Quan Mingxuan touched his forehead helplessly.

He really didn’t want to go out with this couple anymore.

Jian Qing held onto Quan Jingwu’s neck with a glint of mischief in her eyes. Sensing her reciprocation, Quan Jingwu’s violet eyes deepened a shade.

Everyone gathered their senses and began taking pictures of the couple sharing a passionate kiss. A moment as beautiful and romantic as this had to be captured!

When Baxter was driven back to the finish line by the staff, the first sight that greeted him was of everyone cheering for Jian Qing. His bronze skin appeared even darker.

He should have been the protagonist. The victory and the cheers belonged to him. Why did it have to be thwarted by Jian Qing again?

The same thing had happened two years ago. And it was happening now. He was not willing to accept this.

“Daniel, time to settle the accounts.” Jian Qing stepped out of Quan Jingwu’s embrace, locking eyes with Daniel, her words full of implications.

Daniel understood her and smiled, “Of course.”

“I’ll leave the rest to you. If you need help, I can arrange it.” Jian Qing pointed towards Han Yue.

Daniel nodded, “Okay.”

Upon hearing her words, Han Yue’s smile stiffened. “Why me?”

“Don’t you want to?” she grinned.

Before Han Yue could refuse, he saw Quan Jingwu’s deathly glare and instantly backed down.

“Of course, I would love to. It would be an honor to serve you,” he sheepishly replied.

Jian Qing nodded approvingly, “Well done. You have a promising future.”

Han Yue, “…”

Quan Mingxuan stifled his laughter, throwing Han Yue a look of disdain.

To avoid being exploited even further by this heartless couple, Han Yue quickly excused himself and Daniel.

Seeing Daniel coming towards him with a few others, Baxter grew anxious.

“Daniel, what do you think you’re doing?”

“Nothing. I’m just collecting the stake you wagered with Jian Qing. You remember it, right?” Daniel was as calm as ever.

Then Baxter remembered the bet, his face changing as he tried to escape.

But before he could get far, his shoulder was seized by a stranger.

“Who are you?”

Han Yue scoffed, “You are asking a pointless question, aren’t you? Obviously, I am here to collect the bet.”

“You…” Baxter looked around, realizing his team was nowhere to be seen.

“Looking for your team? Well, you can stop. They’re not here.” Daniel casually draped his arm over Baxter’s shoulder, making it seem like he was kindly supporting Baxter to bystanders.

“Your team is with me now. Baxter, when will you ever abandon your despicable ways?”

“What do you mean?” A chill ran down Baxter’s spine.

“Did you really think no one knew that you bribed my men to tamper with my car? That no one would see through your perfect plot?” Daniel’s chuckle sounded scornful.

Baxter’s eyes widened, struggling to break loose from Daniel and Han Yue.

“Stop wasting time with him. Let’s go.” Han Yue pulled out a pill from his pocket and capriciously popped it into Baxter’s mouth, making sure no one noticed.

This item, which he had specially acquired knowing the stake, came in handy now.

Before Baxter could spit it out, the pill dissolved in his mouth. He glared at Han Yue in horror.

“What… What did you make me eat?”

Fatigue crept up on him, and Baxter’s calm demeanor dissolved.

Han Yue grinned mischievously, “Of course it’s a well-prepared treat! You should feel honored.”

Without wasting any more time, both Han Yue and Daniel, one on each side, helped Baxter as they exited the stage. The crowd murmured, puzzled over the sudden camaraderie between Baxter and Daniel.
