?Chapter 447: 433, Believe it or not, I Can Draw a Turtle (3)_1 Chapter 447: 433, Believe it or not, I Can Draw a Turtle (3)_1 “Why doesn’t Black Jack spend a little more time here? The place would be much livelier if he did,” Xiya lamented.
Jian Qing gave her a side-eye, bluntly remarking, “Just admit that you like the drama.”
“Only my dear understands me,” she replied, tossing Jian Qing a flirtatious glance.
Jian Qing closed her book and got up to ascend the staircase.
“Hey, why are you leaving too?” Xiya called out.
“I’m afraid your contagious laughter might poison my tea,” Jian Qing replied as she continued upward.
Xiya sighed, patting her round belly.
“Sorry, little beauty, looks like there’s no show today.”
Upon reaching the top of the stairs, Jian Qing headed straight for the study.
Pushing open the door, she found a man on a phone call.
Jian Qing walked in without uttering a word to avoid disturbing him.
“Mmm, I got it.”
“I’ll go back tomorrow afternoon.”
After hanging up, he beckoned to her.
“Come here!”
Jian Qing circled the desk and stepped up to his side.
“Who was that?” she asked casually.
Quan Jingwu grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into his embrace.
Jian Qing sat on his lap, her hands instinctively encircling his neck.
“Amo.”
Jian Qing raised an eyebrow, Quan Yimo?
“What happened?”
Quan Jingwu replied, “Just a minor issue.”
If it was a minor issue, Quan Yimo wouldn’t make the trip back to the old mansion. However, since he didn’t elaborate, she decided not to probe any further.
She’d find out when the time came.
“Are we going back to the old mansion tomorrow?”
He nodded, resting his chin against her neck.
“Will you accompany me?”
Jian Qing nodded, realizing she hadn’t been there in quite a while.
“Oh, by the way, Ayue just called to say Jian Luo’s car was parked outside Dihao, but he’s nowhere to be seen,” Quan Jingwu said.
On hearing this, Jian Qing chuckled, “Luoluo went to a bar and was spotted, so someone brought him home.”
With a swift reaction and a thin lipped smile, Quan Jingwu asked, “Black Jack?”
Jian Qing nodded, “It’s Luoluo’s first time at a bar. In the past, Black Jack always found out whenever Bai Jue tried to take him.”
“Axuan said that Ayue scared Jian Luo away with a few women,” Quan Jingwu added.
Jian Qing faltered, then burst out laughing.
No wonder Luoluo came back wearing Black Jack’s sweater.
Black Jack must have been fuming.
“Han Yue is truly a unique character.”
This nature was undoubtedly another “Bai Jue”.
Suppressing her laughter, she glanced at the files on the desk, “Why are there so many files?”
“Feeling sorry for me, hmm?” He chuckled.
Jian Qing frowned, rolling her eyes, “Go work on your files.”
“Stay with me.” He locked his arm around her waist firmly, making no move to let her go.
“And if I say no?” She retorted.
His thin lips curled into a smile, “No can do.”
“Then why even ask?”
Jian Qing muttered sarcastically, reaching for a file.
“You help me sign this.” He pushed the pen towards her, clearly intending to push his luck.
Jian Qing gripped the pen tightly, threatening playfully, “What if I draw a turtle instead?”
“Whatever makes you happy.” His doting was boundless.
Chuckling, Jian Qing lowered her head and began to doodle on the file.
However, she chose not to draw a turtle, but instead, a chibi version of Quan Jingwu.
Quan Jingwu wrapped his arms around her from behind, letting her doodle on the document.
She put down the pen and blinked, “Do you like it?”
He glanced at the corner of the document. The chibi version of him seemed less aloof and more peaceful. His lips curved into a smile.
“I like it.”
With his affirmation, Jian Qing responded with a faint smile.
Then, with a swift movement of her hand, she signed his name on the document.
She could hardly wait to see the looks on their faces when Shen Hao and the others read the document.
Entertained by the thought, she couldn’t help but laugh.
After closing the file, she reached for another. But a large hand pulled hers away.
She turned and looked at him, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s late. We’ll continue this tomorrow.”
Quan Jingwu took the pen from her and tossed it onto the desk.
“It’s still early,” she protested.
Embracing her, Quan Jingwu headed for the door, “Indeed, it’s still early. Time to do some pre-bedtime exercises to enhance physical and mental health.”
Faced with his comment, Jian Qing looked skyward, speechless.
How could he just casually make such suggestive remarks?
…
“I’ve almost finished sorting out the assets under the master’s name. Should we let him know?” Xing Sen hung up the phone, and turned to Ning Feng.
Hearing this, Ning Feng put down the file, “Was that a call from M Country?”
Xing Sen nodded.
“Let’s postpone the matter.” Ning Feng suggested thoughtfully.
“But what if our master asks us about it?” Xing Sen looked hesitant, their master had been quite focused on this matter. If he asked about it, Xing Sen didn’t want to lie.
A flash of determination passed Ning Feng’s eyes, “Just say that the people in M Country haven’t finished dealing with it yet.”
Xing Sen helplessly nodded, “All right.”
“Perhaps we should consult Miss about this matter.” Ning Feng suggested, rubbing his chin.
Just as he finished speaking, the sound of footsteps came from the door.
Xing Sen and Ning Feng looked over.
The door was wide open, and Jian Qing and Jian Luo’s figures appeared.
Xing Sen and Ning Feng exchanged a glance. It was indeed a timely rain.
“Miss, Young Master!”
Jian Qing smiled gently, “Ning Feng, where’s my father?”
She had gotten up a bit earlier than usual and since she had some free time, she decided to bring Jian Luo along to visit.
Ning Feng replied, “The master is upstairs.”
“I will go and inform the master of your arrival.” Xing Sen got up to head upstairs.
Jian Luo spoke up, “No need, we can find him ourselves.”
“The Master is on the second floor,” Xing Sen reminded them.
Jian Qing nodded and both of them casually ascended the staircase.
As they rounded the corner of the staircase, Jian Qing noticed that all the doors on the second floor were open.
She exchanged a glance with Jian Luo, both of them puzzled.
As they passed by the first room, they caught a glimpse of its interior and stopped in their tracks, unable to move.
Had they come to the wrong place?
Was this room merely an illusion?
“Jingqing, what brings you here?”
From a distance, the voice of Mo Xiao rang out.
Jian Qing turned her head, noticing Mo Xiao approaching them in quick strides.
“Dad, what is this?”
Jian Luo pointed at the room, the corners of his mouth involuntarily twitching.
Mo Xiao glanced at the room, satisfaction flashing in his eyes.
He spoke warmly, “This is the room I’ve prepared for Jingqing.”
“Wha-, what?” Jian Qing looked at him in shock, “For me?”
With a smile playing on his lips, Mo Xiao nodded and stepped into the room.
“Don’t just stand there, come in and take a look.”
Jian Qing and Jian Luo exchanged glances before proceeding into the room.
The moment they stepped in, they were once again hit with a visual shock.
