My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 120: Fake Hideout Trap

Chapter 120: Fake Hideout Trap

Subduing the massive hell serpent was difficult, but after it got beaten up and revived several times, it at least worked.

Sylvia mounted the elemental reins and used them to force the hell serpent to swiftly take them to the sky tower like a high-speed train.

It was already one week since everyone was trapped in the Hell Trial. They had travelled thousands of kilometers to the sky tower within a week, thanks to the big monsters who served as their transportation.

"..." Ely stared up at sky tower from their temporary hideout. They were pretty close to it.

It was already one week since they were in this realm and exterminated so many evil creatures.

Suppose only they could make one swift big monster as their means of transportation without changing to another monster. In that case, they might have arrived at the sky tower by now.

Unfortunately, those monsters rebelled desperately after leaving their territory. Therefore, Sylvia had to kill every mount that already served its purpose.

A few hours ago, Ely and her group had just exploited a gigantic hell worm to drive them nearly a thousand kilometers towards the sky tower before they had to kill that monster.

As for now, they were resting inside a hidden cave. In the past week, they barely had time to rest and recover sufficiently.

Ely turned around. Her disciples, Evelyn and Kirara, were meditating to recover.

Everyone did a great job helping her to farm many stat points.

’This Hell Trial is truly a big harvest. I must thank the Evil God’s soul remnant for this favour.’ Ely smiled after making sure everyone was clean of evil energy.

"Ely, we’re back." Sylvia returned while taking off her cloak.

"We have set up the fake hideout trap as you requested. Here’s the formation key." Yuuki returned a magic item to Ely.

"Thank you for your hard work. Please have a little rest." Ely ushered Yuuki and Sylvia to their meditation seats.

"How about you?" Yuuki glanced back. She only found two recovery formations available.

"Everything is good. I’ll be on guard while you all recover. When you’re done, I’ll rest." Ely reassured Yuuki with a gentle tone.

"Is the big evil coming to check on us? It’s been a week since then." Sylvia asked in wonder.

"Yes, I believe in my hunch, and that’s why we won’t be going into action for the next twelve hours. We must focus on recovering and wait for him to fall into our trap." Ely put her hands together as she relied on her premonition very much.

"Is it because you can see the realm core’s whereabouts?" Yuuki nodded in understanding.

"Yes, it’s on the tower’s highest floor. The roots and flows lead there." Ely took out several talismans, then sealed the entrance and put on a camouflage formation.

"If you’re that confident, then I can rest easy now. We’ll see how he’ll eat our trap. He’ll probably panic and do something when he finds out we’ve gotten so close to the sky tower. But he probably won’t come here and will only send countless evil creatures to crush us." Sylvia tapped her chin as she felt it was very likely to happen.

"Then, that will be better. The fake hideout trap will taunt him to send more reinforcements to crush us." Ely closed her eyes with a subtle smile on her face.

"..." Yuuki and Sylvia looked at each other. They felt Ely would commit a massive massacre with several Mythical-tier or God-tier weapons.

The Artificial Hell Realm would never threaten Ely, but Ely was a dangerous threat to evil and hell.

The evil creatures of this Hell Trial would be pitiful if the big evil sent them to raid the fake hideout trap just like Ely had planned.

When all the powerful monsters gathered, they could always use potent weapons of mass destruction to eliminate all threats. After that, they could go straight to the sky tower.

Yuuki and Sylvia then went to recuperate.

"Phew..." Ely sighed, then went near the entrance. She took out a comfy sofa and lay there.

While waiting, she took out her grimoire to check a few things. She and everyone embarked on a rough journey of slaughter within a week. It almost drove everyone crazy because of the evil energy corruption.

Rafaela, Remiel, and Kirara could no longer help with their anti-evil healing skills. Luckily, Ely’s purification skills were effective against the evil energy to ensure everyone’s safety and sanity.

’I’ve used five Mythical-tier weapons and fourteen Super-tier artifacts to eliminate countless hell creatures. Not to mention dozens of top-tier treasures usage and others... Only a few are left, and my Mythical-tier weapons or above are our trump cards. We can’t last for a month at this rate.’ Ely muttered while calculating how many holy weapons and artifacts she could still use.

[Ely (???) | 0th Rank]

[HP: 277.8K/100 | MP: 11.96M/4,500 | SP: 1.61M/4,500]

[Talent: 6 Stars | Legendary]

[STR: 10 (Limit) | DEX: 10 (Limit) | CON: 198 | PER: 300 | ARC: 10 (Limit) | VIT: 1.32M | LCK: 100 (Max)]

Ely was impressed when she saw her current status screen. It was beyond her expectations, and the addition was truly impressive since she checked it last week.

’Wow, I even got some CON. No wonder I fell down with a fever two days ago.’ Ely wiped her sweat.

For some reason, she couldn’t help but recall some of the massive monsters and demons that she encountered several days ago. Especially that mountain-sized burly and scary blue devil. She thanked that big monster in her heart.

It was the biggest and strongest monster they had faced. That big guy was the suppressed Devil God, one of the Evil God’s territorial final bosses.

She caught a fever after she and everyone killed that big guy thirteen times, and she fainted after purifying everyone from evil energy corruption.

Regardless, it was truly a fruitful journey.

’Though things haven’t gone so smoothly, the Artificial Hell isn’t so bad. It’s all thanks to them. I don’t need many holy weapons and artifacts to wipe out the enemies. Noir is also a good boy. Everyone helped me get a lot of stat points.’ Ely also thanked everyone in her heart.

Her disciples took the opportunity to hone themselves against strong enemies in deadly extreme environments. Yet, no one knew that Ely treated the current event as her farming ground.

Ely then checked her quest page, but it still needed to be updated since the last time she checked it. Thus, she checked the log history page while relaxing with a bowl of ice cream.

A few hours later, a fluctuation in the fiery blue sky occurred. The blue fire condensed and formed a huge demonic head in the sky.

The Evil God’s soul remnant peered into the Artificial Hell Trial. Yet, he felt confused because he didn’t find any challengers anywhere.

’Have they been corrupted and fallen into demonization? Or perhaps, they are just hiding from me?’ The Evil God asked in wonder and started looking everywhere.

He spotted many traces of the fierce battle and the remnants of that great ruin.

No hell creatures could be seen within a three-thousand-kilometer radius. The challengers went straight to the sky tower... They paved their way to the most dangerous zone and exterminated everything.

That was what came to the Evil God’s mind.

’So, they are hiding there... I see. Pretty good! As expected of my promising minions and dolls. They arrived at the seventh hell zone. I shall refine my new vessel to perfection once this is over. They won’t survive there. But, let’s spice things up to make them desperate, hehe...’ The Evil God commanded the Hell Trial with his realm’s authority.

Unfortunately, it was enough to give the surrounding hell creatures the impetus to storm the shrouded hideout, not truly command them.

The challengers were recovering and trying to disguise their presence. However, he was the Evil God, and they were just a bunch of mortals.

His only drawback was that he was just a soul remnant and could not fully control his realm. However, his current authority was far more than enough to handle them.

After that, the Evil God disappeared from the blue flame sky.

’...’ Ely looked up at the sky with a solemn expression.

She felt nervous as the Evil God stared at the trap they had laid. It was just a powerful illusion and trap formation array.

It was about twenty kilometers towards the danger zone, quite far from their hideout. Everything went according to her plan.

The turbulent evil energy in the air told her countless evil creatures were approaching that fake hideout trap. However, those monsters were still relatively far away and needed time to get there. After all, she and everyone did a great job wiping out the surrounding monsters clean before going to rest.

"He actually appeared as you predicted, master..." Gabriella looked up at the sky.

"!?" Ely was surprised. She was too focused on hiding everyone’s presence and failed to realize her disciple was already beside her. "Yes, that is my reliable premonition."

"Master, we will follow all your plans. However, you also need to rest and recuperate." Gabriella sat in a seiza position before her master. She couldn’t bear to see her master faint again.

"Alright. I’m going to take a short nap. Please don’t come out and wait for our time to move. Countless evil creatures are heading towards the fake hideout trap." Ely nodded in understanding.

"Please rest assured, master." Gabriella put her hand on her upper chest. She then adjusted her master’s sofa to become a bed.

"Hu... Huu..."

A few minutes later, Gabriella could see her master was asleep and even hear her master’s soft breathing. She felt satisfied somehow. She then glanced at her juniors.

They had finished their recovery meditation, and their strength had returned to their peak. Some even made it through a major breakthrough and a talent upgrade.

They would fight a huge army of evil creatures in a few more hours and face the final guardian bosses in the sky tower zone.

What happened in the last week was always challenging to handle. It was a hell survival experience, but no one felt scared or worried because their master was with them.
