My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 137: After the Curse-Purifying Service

Chapter 137: After the Curse-Purifying Service

It was the third day since Ely started her curse removal service. She removed the curse from more than six hundred ancient demons in those three days.

Such treatment was expensive even for the demon kings, but they paid for it nonetheless. Many high-class ancient demons were already freed from the restriction and the curse that had suppressed them for thousands of years.

At that moment, the second batch of ancient demonic art practitioners entered the Young Demon God Temple. As for the first batch, they went into meditation or seclusion to better comprehend the techniques they had just learned.

The Artificial Hell Core Key did an excellent job. Ely was relieved because she could easily handle the ancient demons if those demons went down the evil path someday.

It was time to leave since all business in the Ancient Night Secret Realm was over. Ely felt she just needed to put some finishing touches and let the rest unfold by themselves.

As for Skyla’s case, she would not do anything significant because fate would do something to that demoness.

"Are you leaving soon?" Abraham stood beside the Young Demon God’s tent.

"Yeah, we need to do a lot of things. We also need to hunt down one or two Evil Gods soon." Ely gave a signal to her disciples, and they went to help Yuuki to pack up their tent.

"God Hunt? That’s interesting. You need to take us some time, Young Demon God."

"Then, you need to comprehend the ancient demonic arts and experience the outside world’s life first. Although demons, we are not evil. We are ourselves, and we pave our own path. We learn the path of truth. I wonder if you will follow the same path as me."

"That’s for sure. We shall follow in your footsteps."

"If you go out and follow nature, you will know the truth, and the pinnacle is never grasped by evil. It’s one’s true path. You will know what you need to do."

Ely gave a little enlightenment to Abraham to avoid possible chaos.

"One’s true path..." Abraham muttered with an expression of deep understanding.

"Hey, ancestor... do you think the Sacred Sakura is my sacred land?" Ely smiled faintly behind her dark knight helmet.

"Well, yes?" Abraham nodded reflexively.

"The Sacred Sakura Holy Land is deeper than you can imagine. We have many entities that are much stronger than me." Ely shook her head. It was the truth. Sometimes, she also felt like the weakest.

"!?" Abraham gasped as he never expected that. He thought that Sacred Sakura’s backer was the Young Demon God, but his clan’s young lord was just one among Sacred Sakura’s backers!

"Well, that’s for now. You may encounter many Sacred Sakura people in the future. But please behave well and treat them with respect. You wouldn’t know if it was a fragile human or a God’s incarnation." Ely raised her hand in farewell.

"Uh-huh..." Abraham had not yet recovered from his shock, but he still nodded.

"Remember this. Never try to ascend to the upper realm before me, or you will die. You can still try to break through beyond the mortal boundary and pass the tribulation just fine, but avoid the godhood ascension. That would put you in a rank between mortality pinnacle and immortality, and it’s superior to any 10th Rank powerhouse." Ely gave final parting words. She gave a slight nod to her people before they flew away.

"Alright. this old demon is grateful for your enlightenment." Abraham clasped his fist in respect.

He thought back to what the Young Demon God had just told him. He could understand it was a warning, a suggestion, and a hint. However, he forgot to ask where the Sacred Sakura was located...

"Nevermind. He said that I would meet Sacred Sakura people sooner or later." Abraham ran his hand through his white hair and sighed.

The other ancient demon ancestors landed. They looked right and left, but the Young Demon God’s tent was no longer there.

"You are too late. Young Demon God and his wives have already left." Abraham shrugged his shoulders as the other ancestors looked at him.

"Darn it. We’re late." One of the ancient demon ancestors grumbled.

"Fret not. We will meet him again soon. He needs to do something regarding the ascension to the upper realm. We will not ascend before him. The upper realm is more dangerous than we imagined." Abraham raised his hands and tried to reassure the other ancestors.

He then began to narrate some of the revelations he had directly received from the Young Demon God. Everyone was convinced but couldn’t wait to start learning the ancient demonic arts.

If they followed the procedure, they would be in the 33rd batch, and their turn would come next month. It was too long! Waiting time, excitement, and anticipation would kill them.

Therefore, they would sneakily enter the third batch tomorrow. More than six hundred high-class ancient demons were privileged to study the ancient demonic arts at the Young Demon God Temple. Ultimately, the elites from the eight high-class clans would get their chance.

The Young Demon God wasn’t there to watch over them. It was acceptable to smuggle eight ancestors to the 30 daily quota to enter the Young Demon God Temple.

"Keke..." The eight ancient demon ancestors chuckled as they agreed to enter the Young Demon God Temple tomorrow.

They had several agendas and plans in hand, and those would take place in the near future, including the Demon Realm invasion.

---

The construction of an ancient demon’s great city in the east of the dark abyss was starting to take shape.

They also cultivated the land around the city and the west side of the dark abyss with many dark-colored trees. It would become a vast dark forest soon.

Nearly ten thousand ancient demons carried out city construction and forest planting. While the low-class demons were busy with their work, a human-like creature crawled up the dark abyss’s steep cliff wall.

A human-like demon with pale purple skin, emaciated stature, long white hair, and long claws slowly approached the surface. A large black skull coffin was strapped to his back.

His pupil was red, and his sclera was black. However, his eyes were devoid of life. It was like an undead, but thick evil energy radiated from his entire body.

The snow fell on his head. He stared blankly at the red sky, then jumped to the surface.

It was already eons since his death, but he managed to make a comeback and return to the world of the living. He had no idea what had happened, but a sword slash powerful enough to split the divine seal helped him to rise from his death.

"..." The purple demon turned his head to the side. He found that thousands of demons were building a city on the right side.

He then stared into the dark abyss. He couldn’t see the bottom but came from somewhere far down there.

"Hey, man. What are you doing there? You’re new, right? Keep moving and working. You don’t get paid to be lazy. We need to build a grand city for our Young Demon God." The nearby burly orc called out in astonishment. He then shrugged and walked away while carrying a large rock.

"Young Demon God?" The purple demon frowned. He then shot up like a gust of wind and arrived before the burly orc. A big hand emerged on his back and grabbed the burly orc’s neck.

*Bam!*

The large rock fell to the ground, and the burly orc gasped. He stared at the purple demon.

He was big, and the purple demon was small, but he got suppressed by the offender. "Ack! What are you doing, bastard? Release me!"

"Tell me more about this world. Also, who is the Young Demon God you are referring to?" The purple demon raised the burly orc and asked with a glare.

"I don’t know. I just arrived in the outside world last week. Ugh, let me go now, or you will regret it." The burly orc was thrashing around. He tried his best to break free from the large hand grip.

"What are you doing there? No fight, and get back to work!" A particular demon captain called out in annoyance from a distance.

The other demons also stared at the commotion.

"Useless." The purple demon snorted, then beheaded the burly orc. His big hand became smaller and returned to his back.

The headless burly orc fell to the ground, and the purple blood splashed everywhere.

The purple demon rushed past the low-class demons. He went straight to the seemingly important demon in the vicinity.

The demon captain flinched. The purple demon suddenly appeared before him and strangled him. He tried to release the grip, but it was a deadlock. "Ack! You, little shit. Release me this instant!"

"Tell me more about this world and the Young Demon God." The purple demon asked in an indifferent tone.

"Ptui. You are not from the Ancient Night Secret Realm, for sure. You are the demon from the Demon Realm! You, arrogant dissident, will be exterminated sooner or later." The demon captain spat his foul-smelling saliva at the purple demon’s face.

He then punched and kicked the purple demon, but the grip that was choking him didn’t loosen in the slightest.

"You’re courting death!" The purple demon was enraged and summoned a pair of big demonic hands on his back. He was about to crush the demon captain’s skull, but a needle shot out of nowhere and pierced his arm. He was unable to move.

"He’s just a low-class demon. How about you talk to us instead, abyss demon?"

The deep and intimidating voice came from above.

The purple demon looked up and widened his eyes. A 10th Rank gigantic black dragon floated in the air, and several powerful entities stood on that dragon’s head.
