My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 281: The Agitated Friend

Chapter 281: The Agitated Friend

Miko also felt happy because the seven witches were finally together again. As for the other witches, they would need to wait as they also had to put in more effort to fulfil the requirements first.

"Miko, how about we release the Heaven’s quests from our grimoires for our people to carry out? We put the quests on Sacred Sakura’s quest board and let them take the missions." Elysia suddenly proposed an idea.

"Waah~" Miko was pleasantly surprised.

She looked aside. Yuuki had just styled her mama’s hair, and her mama’s appearance was stunning and alluring.

"How about it?" Elysia sat next to Miko.

All this time, Miko’s disciples received tasks under Miko’s guidance. It was time to widen the scope since Heaven expected them to solve many things. However, the fundamental objective was the training with decent rewards in each quest.

"Mm! That’s wonderful. We will group them based on rank." Miko understood her mama’s meaning.

It was impossible for her and her mama to run errands and go around completing missions in person. Since she no longer sought the stat increase rewards, she could bestow the quests to their people.

"Yup, we’ll be releasing the quests soon. Here’s the specific idea." Elysia then shared her idea regarding the system for Sacred Sakura’s quest board.

Miko listened to her mama’s ideas carefully and noted some important points.

Everyone around them also felt excited because this idea would greatly benefit them. They would carry out the Heaven’s quests soon!

While everyone joined the discussion, Miko’s telecommunication talisman suddenly received an incoming signal, indicating someone was trying to contact her.

"A friend? Don’t be shy~ receive the call." Elysia put down her pen.

"Uhm..." Miko glanced at her core disciples. Everyone was back, and most likely, it was her saintess friends. She took the telecommunication talisman from her robe and checked the caller. "The Blood Moon Saintess, Feng Mingyue..."

---

Mingyue walked here and there in her room restlessly. She felt something amiss in the Blood Moon Pavilion lately. Thus, she stayed at the realm entrance fortress for the past few days.

Her eldest sister was also missing. Not even a single piece of news could be obtained. Three days after Miko’s last visit to the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm, it was the last time she saw her eldest sister.

Everyone seemed to be trying to hide the truth, making her uneasy. Thus, she tried to contact Miko. Unfortunately, it was not easy to reach her saintess friends.

Shui Meiying was still pretty easy to contact, but Meiying couldn’t alleviate the anxiety in her heart. She wished for Miko’s help as she couldn’t think of anyone else.

*Beep*

The communication line connected, and it made Mingyue pleasantly surprised. She looked right and left, then immediately sat down on the sofa.

"Mingyue, hi~ It’s been a while. How are you?" Miko greeted with a happy tone.

"Miko~" Mingyue called her friend’s name with a hint of relief, but it somehow sounded a bit erotic.

"Err... did something happen?" Miko was a bit shy.

"Hmph, hmph! Miko, I can finally contact you and hear your pleasant voice. Do you know how hard it was for me to reach you?" Mingyue snorted like a sulking girl.

"Hehe, please forgive me. Sacred Sakura has been busy lately due to our quests and scheduled training. However, now is a relaxing time. You can contact me easily any time now." Miko felt a bit guilty and immediately apologized.

"Hehe, I don’t blame you. But... can I request a little help from you, Miko?" Mingyue twirled a strand of her hair with her finger.

"Yes, you can. As long as it is within my capabilities and does not violate our rules, I will help you. Feel free to say it."

"You see... It’s about my eldest sister, Feng Xue."

"Did something happen to Lady Feng Xue?"

Hearing that, Mingyue immediately told Miko about the situation. She poured almost everything, hoping Miko could help her.

"I see... it’s strange because your family deliberately hid any news about her from you. Did she and her maids go missing just three days after my last visit? I suspect something bad has happened to them, and the cause comes from the Blood Moon Palace itself." Miko tried to guess the reason behind Feng Xue’s disappearance.

"How is that possible? She is an important and influential person even in the Blood Moon Palace. Is it possible that someone is trying to harm her? Or maybe get rid of her? And, my eldest sister, she... Miko, don’t scare me!" Mingyue trembled a little.

She once thought about it, and Miko said the bitter possibility so bluntly that it scared her to imagine it.

"Mm, sorry. That’s just a guess. Don’t take it to heart. However, you really care about your eldest sister now, Mingyue. I remember you were so afraid of her at that time." Miko couldn’t help but chuckle.

"Uh, it’s normal to worry about your sister, right?" Mingyue felt a bit embarrassed, but she admitted it. She cared about her eldest sister more than herself in the last month.

"Hmm~ What if I ask my mama about this? Or, you should ask her directly, Mingyue." Miko proposed an idea.

"Your mama? Then, it’s- it’s the Sacred Sakura Goddess!? I, I-" Mingyue hadn’t prepared herself, and Miko threw the ultimate solution that made her super nervous.

Nevertheless, it was a favour from the divine being. Everything would come to light because the Sacred Sakura Goddess’ divine power could easily find her eldest sister’s whereabouts.

"Mama, this is my saintess friend, Feng Mingyue, from Blood Moon Pavilion. She wants to ask for our help to find the whereabouts of her missing sister." Miko handed over the telecommunication talisman to her mama’s hand.

"Hi, I am Miko’s mama. Thank you for taking care of my daughter, Saintess Mingyue." Elysia replied with a soothing tone.

Unfortunately, Mingyue had already short-circuited because she had not prepared mentally to directly talk to Miko’s mama, the Goddess.

"Wha, wha, wha! Plea- pleased to meet you, Lady Mama, I mean, Your Divine Grace, Sacred Goddess! Me, This, my name... My name is Feng Mingyue!" Mingyue stuttered nervously.

"Fufu, don’t be so formal. Please take a deep breath and exhale slowly." Elysia chuckled softly.

Hearing that, Mingyue immediately carried out what was instructed. After she calmed down a little. She introduced herself again politely. "It’s my honor, Your Divine Grace. It is Miko who has always looked after me."

"Hmm-mm~ You are such a sweet child, but your environment is inadequate. I wonder why they cultivate you with special treatment, different from your siblings and other Blood Moon cultivators." Elysia deliberately hinted as if she was still wondering about something.

"!?" Mingyue widened her eyes.

She was the only junior with special treatment. Even her royal siblings didn’t receive as many privileges as she did. As for the reason... Miko’s mama gave her an implicit warning!

The seed of doubt gradually emerged into a plant of suspicion.

"Alright, Mingyue. Do you want to inquire about your eldest sister’s whereabouts? We’ve got the answer, but I don’t know if you are ready for this or not." Elysia brought back the main topic.

"Please enlighten me, Your Divine Grace." Mingyue became solemn all of a sudden.

However, her telecommunication talisman suddenly lost its light and became inactive as if it had run out of power.

"!?" Mingyue tried to channel her spiritual energy to activate it, but it didn’t work.

Mingyue’s lips trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes. "No way... I’ve arrived at the most important thing..."

’Sshh, don’t cry, baby girl. Your family’s elders are spying on you now. Don’t respond and listen. Bring three people you trust the most, those who are unlikely to betray you, but ensure they are not from your family or the palace. Go to the Buxtonas Slopes, 3600 miles northeast of your current location. You will discover the truth when you arrive at the hidden cave at the bottom of the burgundy hill, behind the third waterfall.’

Elysia gave the detailed clues softly, but her voice had a subtle hint of pity.

Mingyue was silent for a moment to make sure the Goddess’ voice in her mind had finished speaking.

She looked left and right to confirm something but couldn’t detect the elders checking on her.

Even so, she wouldn’t doubt every word of Miko’s mama, the Sacred Sakura Goddess.

Since the clues were in hand, she needed to do what she had to do to confirm the truth and her eldest sister’s well-being. She looked back, staring at the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm’s portal before leaving her room.

---

"Mingyue... her eldest sister is so pitiful. Can we help her?" Miko felt a bit sad.

"We can. Do you want to go there?" Elysia replied with a subtle nod. Miko was her unique avatar, and she knew Miko wanted to help Mingyue.

"Can I?" Miko looked at her mama like a daughter expecting something.

"Yes. Sylvi, Gab... please accompany Miko to the Buxtonas Slopes." Elysia gave Miko a head pat and waved her hand to the two mentioned people.

"At your service!"

"Affirmative."

Sylvia and Gabriella saluted in reply, ready to leave at any time.

"..." Miko expected her mother to come too, but she couldn’t say it.

"The location is not far from here, but the cave is small. We will watch from the sky. Sylvi and Gab-chan will accompany you inside." Elysia gave a reassuring, okay hand gesture with a wink.

Miko was pleased. She hugged her mama and then went with Sylvia and Gabriella for some preparation.

A few minutes later, their spaceship arrived at the designated location.
