My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 294: Inevitable Appointment

Chapter 294: Inevitable Appointment

’What are you doing?’ Sera asked in wonder, but Elysia suddenly grabbed her.

’Please return now. I will invite you to another more appropriate opportunity.’ Elysia tried to return the little golden eyeball back to the heavenly crest, but Sera resisted.

’Do you want to order me around?’ Sera’s tone became cold, thick with threat.

’Please return for now. We’ve become quite close and familiar after fighting to the death once. I’ll visit you soon!’

’Oh, do you want to challenge me again? That’s good. You have made some progress in the recent times. You didn’t disappoint me.’

’Could it be a friendly battle or just a spar?’

’Even if you die, I will revive you again.’

’You say it as if it’s nothing... Your true body is equivalent to the brightest celestial star that has achieved beyond immortality.’

’Alright then. I’ll give you some six months.’

’Six months, which world’s time is that?’

’The world you live in right now.’

’You read my mind? I’m careless...’

’It’s just your divine spirit’s spiritual information. I sucked in a little of your divine power, and it conveyed the information that crossed your mind.’

’Are you a bee?’

’Come to me, or I shall visit you.’

’I will definitely visit you in six months!’

’Good to hear. Come to think of it... I accidentally destroyed your realm portal.’

’Huh? What do you mean? You destroyed the Boundless Realm Portal?’ Elysia was surprised when Sera informed her about it. She released the golden eyeball and asked for an explanation.

’A horde of shadow-void beasts invaded your twin companion’s dead star. This void is a fragment of your personal universe, I presume? Some of them are already hiding somewhere in the corners.’ Sera looked around once again, and she found the hint when she observed Elysia’s divine spirit more closely.

’What!?’ Elysia widened her eyes. The shadow void beast was similar to Cherub. Regardless, some of those monsters infiltrated her Soul Realm, or more precisely, her inner space, the place where she stored her belongings!

’I destroyed the entire star by accident. But you can still use my crest to open the realm portal toward my home space.’ Sera bid her farewell.

’Thank you.’ Elysia put her hand to her upper chest.

’What is that for?’ Sera stopped in mid-air, halfway back to her heavenly crest.

’You’re doing it for my good. You’re actually kind and considerate. Also... Even though the previous one was a part of our deal, allow me to thank you properly.’

’If you are grateful, then be stronger soon and entertain me. You can seal my crest again, but I’ll burst it open in six months if you don’t come.’

’I will definitely come.’ Elysia replied with a nod.

It was inevitable, but she knew Sera never once harbored any malicious intent. Her encounter with Sera was because of Ai, and their battle was started because it was them who were looking for trouble with Sera in order to find a way out when they were trapped in the Boundless Realm. Nevertheless, Sera was just a bored heavenly creature at the very peak of the higher universe, seeking some entertainment.

Once the golden eyeball vanished into the twelve angelic wings heavenly crest on the back of Elysia’s left hand, the serenity returned to alleviate the atmosphere.

Elysia thought about what Sera had just told her. She would check it soon, but she had to finish her current matter first. After regaining her calm, she used her newly upgraded authority to bypass the void toward the deeper part of her Soul Realm.

In the vast universe of the sea of stars, a breathtaking spectacle unfolded, revealing an expansive space adorned with celestial wonders and cosmic beauty. This heavenly scenery was a mesmerizing panorama that captured the imagination and invited contemplation of the boundless mysteries that lie beyond reality confinement.

"The Subconscious Realm, the sea of memories..." Elysia muttered as she stared at the distant sea of little stars.

The mentioned stars were not part of the scenery but the sea of memory bubbles. Elena, Ai, Miko, Megami, and her memory bubbles. However, those sea of memories that should have been close at hand became very far away.

The bright, soul-catching golden light shone from behind. Elysia turned around and widened her eyes with a golden gleam when she found the mysterious divine gold sea of bubble memories that she had never ever reached before became so close to her grasp. The sealed, forbidden, divine memories!

---

"Sorry, my comrades. It’s my victory." Elena showed her cards, and her instant victory was guaranteed.

"Oh, well... my cards suck." Ai grumbled softly and laid out the cards. She stacked all the cards and shuffled them to start a new game.

"..." Megami, Elysia’s divine avatar, just nodded slightly.

"Megami, what about Ely? She’s been partially disconnected for a while already." Elena lay on her side, hugged Elysia’s hug pillow, and mumbled longingly.

"My other self is going through a divine journey toward the unknown. It will take a week at most." Megami looked at Elysia’s original spirit, who was still lying quietly on the nearby luxurious canopy bed.

"Well, I’m sure it will be finished faster because Ely’s soul and spirit are already at the divine level. It’s just waiting for her body to ascend to the 10th Rank." Ai distributed the cards while looking up at the Elysian Realm’s sky.

The realm’s sky had been adorned with some golden sheen since a few minutes ago. However, the previous one had many reddish hues, indicating Elysia’s state of mind was disturbed.

"I hope everything is fine and goes according to plan. Anyway, what about the situation outside? Let me check the Elysium Group Chat for a moment." Elena received her cards, but she opened her virtual screen first.

She couldn’t contact anyone because she was in the Elysian Realm when Elysia’s consciousness was half in hibernation. However, she could still read all messages and check the outside world’s situation in view-only mode through the other Elysium members.

"Hou~ Luna will confront the sneaky Blood Moon Immortal. Is she enough for that? Zi Xuan might help her, but what about Amy?" Elena’s eyes sparkled with interest. She then checked the other members.

Sylvia caused havoc in the north with her group, causing many areas of fire and lava. The winter in the Northern Realm would end sooner because of them.

Yuuki brought the ice dragon back, and they were bullying a 10th Rank night elf, one of the storm’s causes. Cherub supervised everything to make sure the opponent didn’t escape.

Vanessa’s group was the biggest one in motion, and their mission was over after successfully catching the perpetrator.

As for Morfina and Yae’s group... Gio created a vast desert and sea of quicksand to partially bury the enemies and seal their movements. All enemies were beaten by the other groups.

As the biggest threat over there... the 10th Rank demon that caused the storm in the northwest struggled to survive because Gio truly wished to bury and crush the threat underground.

"Amy is unlikely to make her move. She is still around, enjoying Miko’s mochi and guarding us to ensure we’re safe. However... The beasts, demons, and demihumans in the three-thousand-kilometer radius of the Sacred Sakura region are not that many. The total number of the invading monsters already exceeds the population of a populous country." Ai also checked Elysium Group Chat to update her information.

"Hmm, yup. He sent them to the Sacred Sakura region’s surroundings and stirred the deadly storms from the fake heavenly tribulations. Most of those monsters came because of the Blood Moon Immortal, but the rest were just the frightened ones." Elena could guess the truth as it was so obvious.

"That would be the first time our people would fight the God-tier enemy without divine assistance." Ai switched to Luna’s POV because the interesting part would unfold.

"Fufu, let’s see how the situation turns out." Elena covered her mouth as she couldn’t contain her giggle.

---

"!!!" Luna shuddered a bit. She checked her surroundings with her spiritual sense, but she couldn’t find anything suspicious.

Someone was watching her closely, but she soon discovered the cause came from her spirit connection. Someone was watching her with great interest...

"Greetings, Lady Luna, Miss Lynn." The nearby high-rank leader from the Blue Soul Fox Fleet greeted politely.

Luna replied with a subtle nod. She then relayed her command with her authoritative Empress tone. "Seal this area. Those below 6th Rank, get them away from here now."

"As your wish, Your Grace!" The high-rank leader and his comrades saluted as they could tell it was a decree.

They immediately moved to evacuate everyone from the area. Everyone below the 6th Rank was directly taken away without any prior warning.

"Is it the time?" Jophiel landed from the sky.

"Yes, but stay behind me." Luna answered briefly and walked towards one of the resting places.

Feng Mingyue and her firebird pet were currently meditating to recuperate their depleted spiritual energy.

A moment later, Feng Xue suddenly entered the room. She stared at her youngest sister blankly.

*Creak*

The door made a little noise. Mingyue could feel someone was approaching. She opened her eyes and was relieved to find out it was her eldest sister.

However, she couldn’t see her eldest sister’s face clearly due to the stormy sky and the room’s minimal lighting.

"Sis, Sister Xue? It’s good to see you back. Sacred Sakura is on disaster alert right now. You just came back because of an emergency notice, right? Please have a seat. I’ll make a warm tea for you." Mingyue stood up and invited her sister to sit down.

Feng Xue looked at her youngest sister who was brewing tea, then opened her mouth. "Let’s leave."

"Huh? Why are you so sudden?" Mingyue was shocked, unable to believe what she heard.

"Let’s go back to the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm." Feng Xue grabbed Mingyue’s arm and then dragged Mingyue away as if she was in a hurry.

"Wait, sister, what happened to you? Why did you suddenly change your mind? Also, do you want to leave in a moment of crisis? We received so much of Sacred Sakura’s care and favor."

"We harmed them. Our father will kill many people. We need to return to appease his wrath. Sacred Sakura Goddess went into seclusion, and no one can rival his might now."

Mingyue argued, but her eldest sister ignored her argument. She could see her sister acting strangely but couldn’t oppose her eldest sister because of differences in strength. She couldn’t even let go of her sister’s grasp.

When they left the room, Mingyue was super surprised because her sister looked so pale with a blank expression, resembling a puppet doll.

"Where do you want to go?" Luna called out from the side. She walked over calmly and gracefully while playing with a folding fan in her hand.
