Chapter 295: Receive Your Retribution
Chapter 295: Receive Your Retribution
Luna confronted Feng Xue, staring intently at Feng Xue’s soul.
"..." Feng Xue trembled a little. She couldn’t turn away and was forced to look directly at the Soul Fox Deity’s mystic bluish eyes.
"That’s not you. Are you going to keep hiding in the shadows all the time, mister?" Luna flicked Feng Xue’s forehead and stared in a particular direction.
The absentminded girl jerked backward, falling onto her butt. The light of consciousness gradually returned to her scarlet eyes. She held her forehead because of the tingling sensation. Regardless, she widened her eyes when she remembered what had happened some time ago.
"Guang’er, everyone!" Feng Xue gasped and immediately stood up, looking around as panic and worry soon enveloped her from within.
"Ho-ho, you can unravel it with just one glance. As expected of the Soul Fox Deity." The blood mist emerged out of the blue and formed a man, the Blood Moon Sovereign’s embodiment.
"Hmm, you caused so much chaos in our region. Do you think this will end peacefully?" Luna covered her mouth with her folding fan.
"Oh, do you want to put the blame on me regardless of our alliance? I only came to take my rebellious daughters home. This place is not safe for them anymore." The Blood Moon Sovereign replied like a caring father.
"You might be able to trick everyone, but you met me." Luna shook her head.
"You, bastard! Where are my servants!?" Feng Xue burst into action. She unsheathed her scarlet sword, intending to slash her father.
"Kneel down." The Blood Moon Sovereign frowned and used his authority over his Blood Moon descendants.
"!!!" Feng Xue received tremendous suppression, and her body refused to listen to her commands. She bit her lower lip until it bled as she tried to resist, but she was still forced to kneel down.
"Is that how you treat your daughter? She only thinks about killing you. We’ll punish the evildoers who challenge us, and you are included. Please wait patiently for your turn." Luna released a spiritual rope to block the invisible authority that was suppressing Feng Xue. The spiritual rope then pulled Feng Xue back.
Mingyue wanted to say something, but the Soul Fox Deity and her father were already facing each other with menacing auras as if a great war between the Sacred Sakura Holy Land and the Blood Moon Pavilion was about to break out.
"You ambushed me and controlled me. Where are Ling Guang and my other servants? Tell me..." Feng Xue asked breathlessly. She had to know her people’s well-being as soon as possible.
"They are in a secret underground prison in the middle of the border forest in the south. They are currently safe because your father wants to use them as bargaining chips to restrain you at unexpected times. Is that right, the Blood Moon Sovereign." Luna pointed her fan towards the Blood Moon Sovereign.
"I didn’t expect you could dispel my control and cut off my authority over my blood descendant. You’re more trouble than I thought." The Blood Moon Sovereign checked his surroundings. He was surrounded by many people, and they seemed to want to take him down here.
He then smirked at the vixen before him with a cynical look as if he was looking at the lowly creature. "I intended to come in peace, but it’s a shame... I will bring my daughters home today. Your Sacred Sakura Goddess is currently unavailable, and nobody can prevent me."
"That’s just your clone. You overestimate yourself." Luna enveloped her body with a soul fox spiritual flames.
"That’s not for you to decide." The Blood Moon Sovereign disappeared like a shadow.
His objective was not to fight in the opponent’s yard, but his daughters. He dashed to the soul fox as if to clash with her, but he made a swift turn to catch Mingyue.
"Hmph!" Luna flicked her folding fan aside, blowing away the intangible man who was about to pass her.
"It’s presumptuous to make trouble in someone else’s home. You may feign your ignorance, but you won’t leave here alive." Luna’s eyes flashed a bright bluish-purple light.
Her soul fire flared, and she flew like a gale wind, striking down the Blood Moon Sovereign’s blood manifestation.
*Slash* *Bam!*
Luna unleashed her follow-up spiritual attack, attempting to weaken the clone’s connection to the Blood Moon Sovereign’s true body.
"You are so impatient. I wonder about how you can discover those servants’ whereabouts. Do you have some divination ability?" The Blood Moon Sovereign laughed casually, dodging the follow-up spiritual attack nimbly. He already received the initial blows, and he didn’t want to take another hit as it would be fatal.
"Take a guess. Earnest Blossom, Retribution Blitz." Luna controlled her soul fire like cherry blossom petals blown by a wind, wrapping around the opponent like a vortex.
"Petty tricks. You’re too young to confront me." The Blood Moon Sovereign took out a red brush and wrote something on the empty air with a spell.
*Swoosh!*
The surrounding soul fire petals turned into liquid and evaporated when the spell glowed. Amidst the blue flames and red steam, the Blood Moon Sovereign emerged like a missile, hitting Luna with a heavy blow.
"Mom!" Lynn cried out. She was about to help, but Yusagi held her back.
She didn’t understand why her mother asked them not to intervene before the battle was over. Her mother said it would be a fair 1 vs 1 match, but they didn’t need a fair fight against the enemy because the threat didn’t even care about fairness.
"Lady Luna’s divine weapon protected her. Even if the real Blood Moon Pavilion came with his true body, he would not be able to gravely harm her." Yusagi explained a little.
"But, he can still harm her." Lynn pulled Yusagi’s grasp from her arm.
"We need to handle other variables on her command. Let’s move." Yusagi gave a signal to the other high-rank experts.
They immediately moved away to handle the other situation because the Blood Moon Sovereign’s clone was not the only one visiting the Sacred Sakura Mountain’s vicinity.
"..." Lynn looked to the side and realized her mother had summoned a divine weapon to fight the Blood Moon Sovereign’s mysterious artifacts.
She heaved a subtle sigh and then followed Yusagi. They already received some instructions beforehand, and everything should be completed immediately.
"No, this is not good. Father will trigger the war between two sacred lands." Mingyue held her head as she felt incredibly panicked.
"..." Feng Xue thought a lot of things in mind and moved away.
"Sister, where are you going?" Mingyue called out in confusion.
"I shall strike him down with my own hand before I save my servants." Feng Xue clenched her fist and then sped away.
"The situation is getting worse! Miko, where are you? Please help us..." Mingyue looked up at the Sacred Mountain’s peak before running after her sister.
---
The Blood Moon Sovereign held his focus and had a clear objective, but his opponent was very difficult to deal with. He would blink and kidnap his daughters back, but he couldn’t even get past this troublesome vixen.
Luna’s divination skill predicted the opponent’s possible moves in a breath. She countered everything with suitable countermeasures.
"Where are you going? Your opponent is here." Luna blocked the Blood Moon Sovereign with her soul wave, destabilizing the enemy’s clone’s spiritual sea.
"So many tricks and deceit. You vixen is really cunning." The Blood Moon Sovereign held his head and staggered slightly.
The previous reminder was not just a bluff. He came personally, but it was just his clone.
This 10th Rank vixen was much more troublesome than he thought. Not to mention, she could predict the future and possibilities. Even though his true body was here, he was also not sure he could defeat this troublesome vixen. However, she couldn’t beat him either.
"..." The Blood Moon Sovereign thought about some things. It was his bad luck, and he should take another chance to bring his daughters back.
However, the troublesome vixen didn’t even let him retreat!
Luna blocked the escape path. She swung her divine staff and thumped it to the ground.
"You already accumulated too many sins. Not even your descendants could escape from your cruelty. From generation to generation... the most shining ones will end up in a puddle of blood. That really bothers me. Too bad you offended us. It’s time for you to receive your retribution."
The spherical dome enveloped the surroundings in an illusory domain enhanced by the divine weapon. Luna would ensure the Blood Moon Sovereign’s clone died here, so his real body would receive the heavy backlash.
"Stay away and protect your little sister. The storm is almost over, but we shall roll out the bigger one soon." Luna reminded the nearby Feng Xue with an assertive tone before her domain fully manifested.
"..." Feng Xue gritted her teeth. She was about to ambush her father’s clone, but the situation did not allow her to accomplish that.
Her father greatly offended Sacred Sakura Holy Land, and the big war between sacred lands would clearly be terrifying.
She wished to live long, but her father wanted her to die soon. Thus, she also wished him dead, a thousand deaths. However, the upcoming war would obviously inflict far too many casualties on innocent people.
She had to prevent the upcoming war or, perhaps, suppress it to a small scale. Unfortunately, the Sacred Sakura Goddess was still in seclusion.
"Sister, Lady Luna has warned us to stay away. It’s a 10th Rank domain. You could die if you’re in the middle of a fight between Deities. Also, it’s just father’s clone. Even though he got himself killed, his real body is still in the Scarlet Domain Secret Realm." Mingyue flew down and pulled her eldest sister’s hand, trying to drag her sister away with her.
