Chapter 299: Dark Agent Versus Phantom Thief
Chapter 299: Dark Agent Versus Phantom Thief
"What happened?" Yuuki immediately returned when she felt Miko’s anxiety. Yet, she was terrified when she noticed the Kaleidoscopic Sphere and the Heavenly Altar were missing.
Evelyn, Ella, Vanessa, Gabriella, and the other members responsible for the south had just returned. Miko asked them to remain calm, but their heart was already in chaos.
They couldn’t hide their anxiety and panic because their master and the Goddesses were inside the Kaleidoscopic Sphere, and the entire crystal was kidnapped by someone under the supervision of the highest protection, the Agent of Heaven!
"The enemy is clearly stronger or equal to Agent Amy." Evelyn commented.
"Klaus the Vampire Progenitor is probably the one we need to suspect. He was the only one who ignored Priestess Zi Xuan’s warning and disturbed our Miko." Vanessa bit her finger, feeling annoyed.
"It’s okay. Mister Klaus has no malice. The culprit is a mysterious purple shadow, not inferior to Agent Amy. I have already performed a divination. I shall summon the Kaleidoscopic Sphere and the Heavenly Altar to return." Miko heaved a sigh and looked up at the distant sky.
She foresaw Amy would take hours with no certainty of catching the culprit, let alone retrieving the Kaleidoscopic Sphere and the Heavenly Altar.
"You can do that, Miko?" Evelyn approached and wanted to make sure.
"Mm, mama left some precautions before she went into her half-hibernate state. Agent Amy is unreliable. I’ll use the summoning divinity. Give me a few seconds. Oh wait..." Miko took out a map and marked a particular spot.
"Thank goodness..." Vanessa was relieved, and so were the others. Everyone’s chaotic mind began to dissipate.
"Gab-chan, please dispatch three squads to rescue Feng Xue’s personal servants at this spot. We can’t let them be those people’s hostages for long." Miko handed over a map to Gabriella.
"Please rest assured, master." Gabriella bowed slightly.
Miko sat down at her cultivation spot under the sakura parasol. She put her hands together, forming an inverted triangle with her fingers before using the divinity that her mama left on her body.
She discovered the Kaleidoscopic Sphere’s location in a fairly distant void, inside the unknown space storage. However, nothing could hinder her spiritual connection to her mama unless it was a divine seal formation above her mama’s divinity.
*Zap*
The Heavenly Altar teleported back to the shrine abode’s courtyard, and the Kaleidoscopic Sphere emerged out of the spatial dimension a few seconds later.
Miko thought about it and decided to leave a small ’gift’ for the thief in the form of a Kaleidoscopic Sphere afterimage. So, the thief would pay a hefty price for kidnapping her mama.
The instant spatial dimension was closed, and the shrine abode’s atmosphere gradually returned to its original sacred serenity with the large, colourful divine crystal illuminating the surroundings.
Since everything was under control, Gabriella excused herself. She left with a quick movement as she would take the lead for the task given by her master.
While the Elysium members felt relieved, Amy was already desperate because she still couldn’t catch the thief and retrieve her objectives. She had already lost track of time, but she was sure it was already more than the five minutes she promised.
On the other hand, the lady-like purple shadow still tried her best to escape.
Upon her secret lower realm exploration, she discovered the large, colourful orb guarded by the Agent of Heaven. She waited for the right time to snatch it, knowing it was a peerless treasure.
Despite the risks involved, she still did it even though it went against Heaven and would soon trigger the Heavenly Wrath. However, it would be worth the risk and sacrifice because she managed to obtain the peerless, mysterious, colourful treasure owned by the God Emperor of Heaven!
"You’re not my match. See you again in hundreds of years." The purple shadow evaded the crazed Agent of Heaven’s ultimate move with a laugh.
She opened the void and escaped, but she slipped away into some other dimension several times to erase her traces from the chase.
"Face me, despicable shadow!" Amy immediately chased the purple shadow. Even though she almost lost track of her target, her divine mark still did its job to track the thief as long as the target wasn’t too far away.
"..." The purple shadow was feeling irritated because this gave chase game would never end.
She preserved her strength by not engaging in direct confrontation, thinking she could leave safely with her multiple divine escape techniques. Unfortunately, the Agent of Heaven was so desperate and hard to deal with.
Nevertheless, it gave her a lot of excitement because she knew that large, colorful divine crystal was super precious, so even a 16th Rank Immortal would go all out to retrieve it.
Regardless, she couldn’t escape if this continued. After making her decision, she made a swift turn to confront the Agent of Heaven with her full force.
"!!!" Amy widened her eyes, but she grinned. She faced the confrontation head-on with her dark divinity.
*Boom!*
A star-shattering blast exploded within the void, followed by dozens of divine-level clashes that created instability in the void. The two 16th Rank Immortals, who were suppressed by the lower world’s laws, faced each other with gradually thickening killing intent.
"You’re dead! The Forbidden Galaxy, open!" Amy grasped her dark sphere, summoning the mini dark realm to ensure her enemies could no longer escape.
"!?" The purple shadow tried to escape, but she was trapped in the sealed realm. She tried to tear open the void and tried to teleport to another dimension, but it didn’t have any effect.
"This is my Forbidden Dimension. Unless you can kill me, this sealed realm has no escape. So presumptuous and bold... you offended the wrong person, little shadow." Amy adjusted her spiritual flows and straightened her messy hair.
She could finally regain her calm because she managed to seal the enemy in a confined space.
"It’s not me who is trapped here with you, but you who are trapped here with me." The purple shadow summoned her divine weapon. She needed to be more serious here.
"You are an Immortal Lord yourself. You know best why we are called the Agents of Heaven. Also... I’m not the only one you need to be wary of here." Amy raised her finger for a reminder.
"Is that so? And who are you referring to? Your Lord of Heaven?" The purple shadow took her stance without fear. She knew the Lord of Heaven was the worst she might face, but she was confident she could escape even if the Heavenly Dao wanted her dead.
"No, it’s the very existence that you kidnapped. It’s not a treasure or whatever you might imagine, but the sleeping Supreme One. The one that even the God Emperor respects." Amy pointed at the purple shadow.
It bought her enough time to prepare for her next ultimate move. She had to finish her task quickly as she couldn’t let Miko wait for long.
"Just a bluff. This is the realm inside your Dark Cosmic Orb, correct? As long as I can snatch it or disturb its divine connection with your spirit, I can escape from here without any problems." The purple shadow appraised the causes and effects with her glowing purple eyes.
"Then, try whether you can do it or not." Amy kept her Dark Cosmic Orb into a space within her body. After that, she summoned her daggers. "Show me what you’ve got. I’ll discover your real identity soon!"
The decisive divine battle between two Immortal Lords unfolded as a cosmic spectacle, the clashes of unimaginable power and celestial forces.
Pillars of cosmic energy arose like heavenly spires, marking the convergence point of the divine powers.
Elemental forces collided with spectacular fury. Torrents of celestial dark fire clashed with waves of primordial phantoms while gusts of shadow-like winds danced in opposition.
Nobody could tell how much time had passed since the first decisive clash began. The intensity of the battle soared to the cosmic storms. Cyclones of cosmic dust and celestial lightning swirled around the two Immortal Lords, adding an apocalyptic backdrop to the divine clashes.
As the battle reached its climax, a moment of divine revelation occurred. The two 16th Rank Immortals channelled their ultimate powers, unleashing cataclysmic energies that transcended beyond mortal boundaries.
In the aftermath of the decisive divine battle, the Dark Cosmic Orb Realm became the sole witness to the divine consequences.
The flashing darkness and shadow enveloped the confined realm. There were no further attacks, pure silence...
However, a large dimensional tear formed a clear gap carved into the space wall. The enemy only aimed to escape, and Amy lost in her own sealed realm.
Amy looked at the nearby dead phantom. It was just the clone. The real one ambushed her amidst the final decisive clash. She checked her Dark Cosmic Orb. It had a slight crack, causing her enemy to flee to the realm of the unknown.
"..." Amy felt like crying. She never received significant damage, but she failed miserably.
Her divine energy was depleted by almost half, and the enemy had already fled very far. She could no longer detect that purple shadow. However, she discovered the enemy was a Heavenly Rebel, the powerful, corrupted phantom.
The scenery returned to the night sky of the outside world. Amy stared at the beautiful sky full of stars in the distance with a heavy and dark heart.
She didn’t dare to return to the Sacred Mountain, let alone report the situation to her Lord.
Miko’s fury was clearly waiting, but she didn’t dare to imagine her Lord’s wrath. It was the one that she didn’t want to happen. She also had no face to meet anyone because of her failure.
Not to mention, Supreme Goddess Ely would come out of the seclusion in six days.
She had to find that purple shadow and retrieve the Kaleidoscopic Sphere and the Heavenly Altar before it happened.
"I need to redeem myself, or I might as well kill myself. Heavenly Rebel, the corrupted phantom... whoever you are, and wherever you are, I will find you and kill you." Amy clenched her fist before leaving into the darkness.
