My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 310: We’ll Never Fall

Chapter 310: We’ll Never Fall

Everyone was silent for a moment to give Jophiel a moment of serenity, and she received everyone’s attention as they also wanted to see what kind of divine weapon prototype Jophiel would get.

Especially the other core disciples. Jophiel would be the first among the ten Apostles to receive the divine weapon.

"..." Gabriella clenched her fist as she felt defeated. Regardless, she soon loosened her grip because part of her felt happy for her junior sister.

’I’m almost there, but I will only be able to achieve the complete bond tonight.’ Gabriella convinced herself in her mind.

Because Jophiel entered the trance of enlightenment state and it took more than a minute, Miko returned to her mama’s side and whispered something to her mama. "Mama, please praise Jophi-chan later and give her a head pat."

"Hmm~" Elysia nodded in understanding. Miko could just tell her through a spiritual connection. However, this whisper would indicate something about encouraging the other disciples to immediately follow Jophiel.

A few seconds later, Jophiel returned to her senses. She stared at the floating pink egg-like cocoon covered in pink mist in front of her.

Her divine weapon prototype should have finished evolving and transforming in there. She could hear the call, but it waited for her to summon it. Therefore, she stretched out her hand, summoning her living weapon out of the shell and mist. "The blood of illusory deception. Come forth, my Vav."

A flash of pink light emerged from the energy shell, forming a pink magical staff with a crystal heart as its primary gem head.

A pair of blackish pink devil horns rise on both sides of the heart gem, and a pair of bat wings typical of a devil at the heart gem’s base.

Jophiel held her living weapon and thought it was like the love demon’s scepter.

"Congratulations, Jophi-chan! Vav has evolved and upgraded into a divine weapon prototype." Miko put her hands together, feeling happy.

"I am honored, master. It’s all thanks to your guidance and Goddess Ely’s blessings." Jophiel bowed slightly respectfully.

"Jophi, congratulations on your achievement. Can you come closer?" Elysia beckoned to Jophiel to come closer.

Jophiel obeyed without a second thought. She stood before her Goddess Master and immediately knelt down.

"Jophi, your name can be interpreted as hope. Your living weapon has become a divine weapon prototype. Even though it is not an authentic divine-grade weapon, it will not be inferior to the real one, and most importantly, and you can use its full potential in the 7th Rank. Jophi, what is your wish?" Elysia stretched out her hand and put it on Jophiel’s head as if she would give a blessing.

However, she trailed her hand down, stroking the half-devil girl’s silky pink hair with tender care.

"O-oh~ My, my wish?" Jophiel received the soul-level stimulus. She melted in spiritual comfort and pleasure, but she tried her best to remain sober.

She received a question with a double meaning, and it made her think... whether it was a question about her wish for her future prospects or a reward, her wish that would be granted.

If it was the former, she could tell it anytime and anywhere. Yet, this question was brought by her Goddess Master at this opportunity. Regardless, Jophiel shamelessly decided it as her wish would be granted by her Goddess Master.

"My Goddess Master, my only wish is to stay by my you-, my master’s side." Jophiel stated her wish with precise intonation, but she soon melted again because it was a head pat from her Goddess Master.

Nevertheless, it didn’t mean her master’s head pat was inferior. Her master and Goddess Master were literally one person! Her dao of love wouldn’t be divided but extended to several people who were, in fact, one person.

"I shall grant your wish." Elysia smiled in reply. She understood why Jophiel became Miko’s most beloved disciple.

[Jophiel (FV: 2640) | 6th Rank Late Stage]

[Loyalty: 100%]

[Talent: 4 Stars | SSR]

Elysia checked Jophiel’s status screen. Jophiel’s loyalty has reached the absolute 100%, equivalent to the highest tier of fruitful believers.

They were the most trusted followers as long as it was above 95%. Jophiel had reached the point where it became an unquestionable absolute faith.

’Do you want to bind her and invite her to our family? If yes, please don’t rush, at least not now.’ Elena gave a kind suggestion from within the Elysian Realm.

’Alright then.’ Elysia accepted Elena’s suggestion because she also knew the reason.

She looked down, and Jophiel was already hugging her legs, rubbing one’s cheek to her thigh.

"Hm-mm~" Jophiel closed her eyes, blushing, but she couldn’t hide her smile behind her veil.

"..." Vanessa, Yuuki, Luna, and Lynn looked at each other. This half-devil girl had lost one’s mind in the comfort, just like them a moment ago. However, this was their rate opportunity to sleep on their master’s lap!

Vanessa unleashed a cat smack onto Jophiel’s head, delivering a sober mind to the recipient of comfort.

"Jophi, you can stand up now." Elysia retracted her hand from Jophiel’s head.

"Ah, u-uh?" Jophiel raised her head, feeling a bit confused for a moment. She craved more, but it would not be nice if she pushed her luck here.

Her master and Goddess Master just smiled at her as if they wouldn’t mind if she asked for more head pats, but she knew it was time to regain her composure.

"It’s okay, but we need to prepare. This journey will take two to three hours. You can do some preparation, meditate, or even stroll around the spaceship." Miko put her hands together, announcing the end of the family breakfast. Still, she implicitly answered Jophiel’s question as if she knew what Jophiel had in mind.

Jophiel returned to her feet and bowed respectfully, but her legs wobbled a little. Her fellow core disciples and several elders congratulated her. However, she excused herself to the bathroom because of an urgent matter.

"Did she leak herself again?" Uriel smirked as he stared at Jophiel’s retreating figure.

"Nah, I think she reached the spot and came. That’s normal for first-timers, but those fluffy little friends are indecent and shameless. They’re literally asking to be petted and pampered in broad daylight." Sylvia pointed to the fluffy little creature on Ely’s lap.

"We’re currently, basically, our master’s pets. So, it’s natural to be petted~" Yuuki smirked slyly.

"Alright, don’t argue. We must prepare a little before arriving at the Scarlet Domain’s portal gate. I’m sure there are things you need to do in the meantime, too." Elysia gave her fluffy little friends the last head pat before standing up and putting them on her seat.

"Please." Xentia bowed respectfully, ready to escort.

Elysia bid her farewell. She left with Miko and her Goddess sisters, leaving the bridge escorted by Xentia.

"..." Yuuki returned to her human form and heaved a subtle sigh. "Yeah, there are several things we need to do before arriving at our destination."

Luna received the eye signal from the other Elysium members. She nodded and immediately elaborated on some details to Miko’s core disciples.

---

Under the bright winter sun, the land of ice and snow gradually began to melt. Everyone would welcome the spring under the sun’s warmth, but the situation in the Blood Moon Pavilion was getting hotter and more chaotic, especially in their realm’s gate palace.

News about the massive invasion that occurred in the Sacred Sakura region has spread to everyone throughout the continent. Still, only a handful of people knew the truth behind the incident.

"Are you sure this information is reliable?" Feng Jie, the Blood Moon’s 9th seat elder, read the report with a frown.

"Yes, sir. The Sacred Sakura dispatched their floating warship toward our gate. Everyone has seen it, and they are on their way here. They claimed the disaster that occurred in their region was caused by the Blood Moon Sovereign, and they will seek justice soon. They protected the Blood Empress and kidnapped Saintess Mingyue, and this is a declaration of war, sir." The intel responded with a grave expression.

"Nonsense! I’m sure this is deeper than it seems. If Sacred Sakura were to declare war, they would have brought ruin to our Blood Moon in no time. Did you know that the Sacred Sakura Goddess has already descended to the mortal world!? Since they only came with a warship, there was still room for discussion." Feng Jie slammed his hand on the table in anger.

He soon sighed and regained his composure. "We couldn’t send reinforcements because the Blood Moon Sovereign didn’t give his command, but this situation must have been a misunderstanding. That traitor is definitely the one behind this. They are tricked by her. How did His Majesty respond to this?"

"The Blood Moon Sovereign showed no response. He is still in seclusion, sir." The intel shook his head.

"Then, relay my command to all elders to attend the urgent disaster class meeting at the realm gate palace. If we can’t resolve this matter, then it will be difficult to imagine the outcome." Feng Jie raised his hand, asking the intel to leave.

"Yes, sir!" The intel bowed respectfully and left like a mist.

"Sigh, you not only hurt our sovereign but also want to bring ruin to your homeland, Xue’er? I don’t know what grievances you experienced to choose the path of betrayal. Regardless, our Blood Moon will never fall even if you succeed in borrowing Sacred Sakura’s assistance." Feng Jie looked up at the clear sky, but his heart was dark and gloomy.
