Chapter 334: Wasted Inheritance

"It took a little longer than I thought." Elysia glanced at the ruins and the fallen criminals on the ground.

On Elena’s advice, they destroyed the Tiger Tooth Gang and several other evil gangsters. Nobody was killed, but the thugs received the punishment they deserved. They also took away the thugs’ superpowers.

"Hm, unfortunately, one of the big super thugs managed to escape. He is lucky. What’s his name again?" Ai returned and entered Elysia’s shadow.

"Based on the list, only Byakko escaped. It’s already seven o’clock, and the police will come soon. Let’s leave." Elena handed over the list to Elysia. She had crossed out all the names except one.

"You... you’re a powerful superhero. Why do you lower yourself to destroy my small gang?" A bald, bloody gangster big boss crawled over.

"You can see this coming to yourself sooner or later. There’s no better ending for your kind. You may enjoy your remaining life trial to do good deeds, sir." Elysia turned around and waved her hand in farewell before vanishing into the empty air.

"!!!" The bloody big boss widened his eyes in shock and fear. He never knew there was such a superhero that could vanish like a ghost.

Their super thugs got defeated instantly by that person’s mere thought. That person’s shadow could even come alive to destroy their best fighters in seconds!

The ones outside the base didn’t even escape the purge. Within minutes, everyone was taken down.

Ambulances and police soon arrived at the scene. But they were terrified to see what greeted them there.

A five-story building had been razed to the ground. More than a hundred people were seriously injured.

"Quick, save life!" The police officer called out to the nearby medical officer.

However, the smoke shot out like a living entity, dragging the nearby bloody thug.

"Captain!" The nearby police officers immediately saluted.

The captain raised his hand and grabbed the injured big boss thug with a smirk. "We meet again, Old Hong. You seem to have just kicked the super-hard iron plate. Whoever did this... We will arrest you and all your men now."

"Heeh... Cough!" Old Hong spat out a mouthful of blood and passed out because of the tremendous pain in his lower half and internal organs.

"Hiss... Even you get castrated and crippled." The captain squinted his eyes slightly.

He immediately asked the medical officers to rescue the thug boss as a priority because the big criminal shouldn’t die before the judgment.

When a little commotion occurred over the destruction of a famous big gang and several other evil gangs, Elysia had long left the crime scene.

She stopped at the highest building in the town as she wished to find the Avery Family. Even though she already died as Ali Avery, she still wanted to check her previous family’s well-being.

Despite the world chaos and other outbreaks, Ali’s legacy was enough to support that family of three to live prosperously during their lifetime.

’You’re mostly concerned with your cousin. She has a long ahead of herself.’ Elena muttered softly.

’...’ Elysia didn’t know how to respond, but it was true.

She didn’t think much of Ali’s parents because they cared more about wealth than relationships. They already got Ali’s inheritance and everything. She also sent them a protective amulet to ensure their safety on her previous Earth visit. Thus, she had done what she should.

"Hmm?" Elysia found her destination and rushed to the location with an instant warp using Gaia’s power.

It was a modern, spacious three-story house with a neatly arranged yard and garage. Ali’s legacy house received many renovations and upgrades. Unfortunately, the family living in that house was no longer the Avery Family.

"..." Elysia looked at the happy family inside the house from the balcony before leaving silently.

"Mm?" The curious toddler stared at the balcony glass door questioningly.

"What’s wrong?" The perplexed mother stared in the same direction, but she found nothing.

’Ely, we can use the amulets to search their whereabouts.’ Elena made a suggestion, and Elysia accepted it.

Five minutes later, Elysia arrived at a public cemetery in the suburban area.

She stood silently before a grave without a headstone, but she knew Ali’s father was buried there.
