Chapter 365: Great Vishap’s Relentless Assault

Two great vishaps, the colossal and ancient mythical dragon of unfathomable power, led their formidable army of smaller vishaps in a relentless assault against humanity’s greatest naval fleet. This cataclysmic clash between titanic forces shook the earth’s and sea’s foundations.

From the ocean’s depths, amidst the storm, the great vishaps rose from the abyssal depths like a violent force of nature. With eyes ablaze with vicious fury, they stopped their battle of power and rallied their legion of smaller vishaps.

Thousands of sea monsters fled from those vishaps, flooding the warships.

Battleships, aircraft carriers, and submarines formed a formidable defensive line, bracing for the coming onslaught.

"Fire, fire!"

The soldiers rained down the approaching horde, dyeing the blue sea bloody red.

As the vishap army closed in, the naval fleet sprang into action, unleashing a barrage of missiles, artillery fire, and aerial bombardments in a desperate bid to repel the advancing horde. Fighter jets streaked across the sky, engaging the smaller vishaps in fierce dogfights.

"Roar!"

One of the great vishaps unleashed a deafening roar that echoed across the ocean, sending shockwaves rippling through the water and striking fear into the hearts of all who heard it. It was a primal, earth-shaking sound that seemed to herald the end of days.

Its body swelled and spat out a giant water ball, shot like a fast missile, and smashed the nearby battleship into scrap.

With the vishaps crawling onto the warships for the kill, the brave soldiers of the naval fleet stelled their resolve. They stood upright, showering the monsters with their advanced weapons.

"The trajectory is clear. Superclass Mothership is ready to fire super graviton cannons. The entire fleet, prepare for the impact." The fleet admiral gave his command.

A mile behind the clash, the massive Superclass Mothership was ready with its massive cannons. The gravitational waves condensed into a narrow beam, and a bluish-white beam of doom instantly split the ocean in half, eliminating thousands of monsters in one fell swoop.

White lightning flashes everywhere, causing significant electromagnetic damage.

As the beam of doom approached the great vishap, the seawater suddenly soared high, forming a layered water shield.

*Rumble!* *Boom!*

The water shield vaporized, and the great vishap attempted to dive, but the beam of doom’s diameter was too large. Its massive-sized body, no less than three battleships combined, could barely evade its demise. A quarter part of its back was gone, reduced to atoms.

The human soldiers, smaller vishaps, and other sea monsters stopped momentarily because of the massive destructive force that had just wiped out the monster horde in a substantial fine line.

The sea became rough, and the waves tossed the entire fleet out of formation.

"Roar!"

The other great vishap soared from the depths of the sea, hitting several warships upside down.

It immediately dived back into the sea, aiming for the Superclass Mothership at the backline.

Dozens of missiles and bombs were dropped on the approaching apocalypse-level threat. However, the great monster could still hit the Superclass Mothership with a loud crash, shaking humanity’s greatest weapon of mass destruction half-submerged.

Luckily, the force field shielded the Superclass Mothership from the damage. The great vishap tried to topple the Superclass Mothership upside down. However, a man in a blue mecha combat suit flew down at maximum speed, punching the great monster’s head with super herculean strength. "Keep your claws off, big monster."

*Boom!*

The tremendous impact sent the monster that rivalled the massive Superclass Mothership back into the sea.

"The sea monsters have invaded the warships. We can’t let those monsters go any further inland. All units, all-out assault. Exterminate those monsters!"

The elite espers dashed out in their mecha combat suits, slaughtering the monsters from the sky.

"..." Erina was silent atop the Superclass Mothership’s navigational bridge, observing the battle in the distance with advanced binoculars.

She already wore her golden mecha combat suit, ready to jump into battle. Despite her high combat power, 9th in the world’s ranking, the supreme leaders forbade her to take action outside the Superclass Mothership.

As one of humanity’s greatest assets, her abilities were too valuable for the military. Nobody could afford to lose her. This apocalypse-level subjugation mission possessed a super high level of danger. It was also in the middle of the sea.

However, hundreds of elite soldiers had fallen under the onslaught of monsters, drowned in the sea... died, and disappeared.

Her armour jet engines propelled her body to rush at the smaller vishaps crawling up the Superclass Mothership’s force field, gnawing at it from the outside.

The elite warriors, soldiers, and espers soon worked together to eradicate the monsters.

However, a powerful impact suddenly exploded in the ocean, sending a gigantic condensed water sphere into the sky.

*Boom!*

The gigantic water sphere exploded high in the sky, showering the entire fleet with water.

"Rain?" Erina stopped her laser gun’s successive attacks, feeling the rain strange.

"My spiritual energy is drained! What happened!?"

"It’s the rain. The force field is starting to tear!"

"The sea monsters have boarded the Superclass Mothership! Prepare to engage in direct confrontation!"

The crew members exclaimed in shock at the impact caused by the rain.

*Swoosh!*

The blue-armoured man shot out from the sea with a dark expression.

"Sir Herculean, your arm..." Erina was shocked when she noticed the world’s third most potent combatant already lost his left arm.

"Hahaha! That great vishap’s head is so hard to crack. We don’t have the advantage of fighting them in their sea domain. You don’t need to worry, Miss Ninth. I just need to reconnect my arm, and then I’ll bring that big guy to his eternal rest." Herculean laughed loudly. He stared dagger in a particular sea direction before flying back to the Superclass Mothership.

"Roar!"

The great vishap leapt to the surface, striking the Superclass Mothership’s force field with its sharp tail whip.

*Bam!*

The force field shattered into pieces, and hundreds of sea monsters immediately invaded the Superclass Mothership.

"All units, retreat! We cannot allow the Superclass Mothership to suffer more damage than this. Third, sixth, and ninth battleships... execute the self-destruction plan!" The fleet admiral announced his orders in a heavy tone.

"!?" Erina widened her eyes, shocked at such a desperate decision.

She recalled the incident four years ago when her grandfather led a fleet to fight the first demonic monster outbreak. It was a similar suicide plan to eradicate the enemy, but all the heroes involved had to sacrifice themselves.

Dozens of ships attacked the injured great vishap in the distance, aided by several air strikes. As for the nearest great vishap, dozens of people stormed it with air barrages.

Three battleships were approaching the great vishaps at full speed, code red for self-detonation.

At the same time, the Superclass Mothership’s engines switched to aeroplane mode, leaving the ocean for an emergency retreat.

One battleship slammed into the injured great vishap, and two battleships blew themselves up into the nearby great vishap. Two massive explosions engulfed the two great vishaps from close proximity, giving the Superclass Mothership and the entire fleet time to retreat to their formation.

Erina gritted her teeth. She was filled with annoyance and anger because she felt powerless. Hundreds of warriors had died, dozens of warships were sunk, and they still failed to kill those apocalypse-level monsters.

It would only take several days until those monsters reached New Jersey. Humanity would never allow the great monsters to exist in humanity’s territory in the upper sphere.

However, they also had to keep the Superclass Mothership unharmed.

"My lady, please retreat. We will handle these monsters."

Erina’s bodyguards sprang into action, protecting their lady from the sea monsters on the deck.

"Roar!"

The smaller vishap dashed towards Erina, opening its jaw full of razor teeth.

Erina evaded the ambush and grabbed that vishap’s head. Her magical golden touch transformed it into a gold chunk, killing the monster.

*Rumble!*

A giant water ball suddenly hit the Superclass Mothership from below, causing it to roll sideways in a violent clash.

Erina and several other people lost their balance, but a monster corpse suddenly bounced towards Erina. She tried to evade it, but her jet propellers malfunctioned.

*Bam!*

The monster crashed into Erina. She tried to stand her ground and throw it away, but she tripped over something.

*Clack*

Erina’s foot bent unnaturally, causing it to sprain. She fell, crushed by the monster. Because the Superclass Mothership was still tilting, she slid sideways and eventually fell off the deck.

"My lady!"

One of the bodyguards screamed in shock, full of terror.

However, Erina could only stare at the great monster and the clash in the ocean below. The previous suicide attack only managed to injure the great monster. The great vishap below was also determined to take down the Superclass Mothership.

Erina couldn’t fly, and her jet propellers didn’t work. She then muttered softly and closed her eyes. "Grandfather, I still can’t save the world. Father, If I die today, I leave everything to you."

Erina fell into the sea, drowning while looking up at the sky. However, she quickly swam to the nearby great vishap monster.
