Chapter 413: Commit Some Crimes
Chapter 413: Commit Some Crimes
Elysia discussed with her family members about what they would do to stop the meaningless war between the countries in the chaotic regions.
"But, are you sure the reason behind this endless war is just because of the global elite’s games, revenge, and territorial struggles?" Elena wasn’t too sure about Gaia’s statement.
"Much of less is the reason. The root of the problem occurred more than a hundred years ago." Gaia nodded confidently.
"..." Elysia was silent for a moment, deep in thought.
"Since the apocalypse is near, why not continue the mini cataclysm to keep it happening? Let them struggle to survive." Lifa proposed an idea.
"What do you mean?" Gaia raised her eyebrow, feeling something unpleasant.
"The world law has been changed, and the world core has been replaced. The next cataclysm should not spell the world destruction. Their territory is relatively safe from monsters, and that’s why. We can release that calamity maggot to wreak havoc in that land of chaos." Lifa pointed to the chaotic area on the map, a place where factions clash endlessly.
"You can’t!" Gaia widened her eyes as if she couldn’t believe the idea came from Lifa.
"Everyone, please take a look at this. These territories are what they are fighting over. I still don’t understand the real reason behind their endless dispute over these lands, but I feel there is something hidden in these territories. Something that makes humans become demons to take possession of it." Erina marked the suspicious area.
Based on history, the marked area had fallen into different hands several times, depending on whose fist was the strongest to repel enemy troops from the area.
"Do you know anything about this?" Elena looked at Gaia.
Gaia received stares from everyone and looked down slightly, spilling the bean out with a hint of guilt. "A leaked divine secret. They... they fought over the prophet’s treasure troves, but could never find it..."
"Why is that? Then, aren’t they fighting in vain?" Nell crossed her arms, not understanding the situation.
"The Earth’s golden palace and the treasure troves are guarded by Guardian Spirits in different dimensions." Gaia sighed.
"If so, I think we really need to release the calamity divine maggot to carry out its role to spell the world’s apocalypse mechanism. The world will change eras. The prophets and apostles prepared by Earth Creator God will also act sooner or later." Elysia felt that Lifa’s idea was quite good.
It could also end unnecessary wars, and humanity around the troubled region would unite to face the common enemy.
"Even you, Ely?" Gaia felt a bit down.
"Please rest assured. Do you think that seal can last long? Everything is predestined in Earth’s heavenly principle. We have changed too much of the world’s fate, but some things couldn’t be changed. What happened that day? If it weren’t for Ely, the calamity divine maggot would have escaped to the outside world." Elena tried to reassure Gaia.
"Alright then. Please have some mercy on the world and everything in it." Gaia took a deep breath and left everything to Elysia’s decision.
Since Gaia no longer objected, Elysia deliberated about several things with her family members to make sure everyone’s opinions were aligned.
"Hmm, we need to inflict a rule on the calamity divine maggot then. It would be terrible if it rampaged aimlessly." Elysia opened the Helven Realm portal.
"Ah, the calamity monsters... I mean the newcomers also hope to meet you, master. They always say similar things before we throw them into the Helven Realm." Dory gestured to the nearby little dragons, and they nodded in confirmation.
"Are they misbehaving?" Elysia removed her disguise magically.
"Uhm, yes... some of them want to challenge you, master." Dory muttered softly.
"I see... Discipline alone is not enough. Then, we need to meet them and teach them the proper lesson." Elysia put on her enhanced veil and entered Helven Realm.
"This will be fun~" Miko immediately followed, and everyone rushed into the realm portal.
Except Gaia and Xentia. They had to keep an eye on whatever was happening in the outside world and keep the realm portal from being affected by any disturbance.
---
In a realm where the balance of nature hung delicately in the hands of the divine, a group of powerful Goddesses gathered to address the misbehaving calamity monsters. With their authority unquestioned and their power unmatched, the Goddesses set out to teach these unruly creatures a lesson they would not soon forget.
The first subject that Elysia would meet was Hydragon. As the most powerful monster from the Earth batch, he still didn’t want to recognize Goddess Ely as the realm master and army’s highest order, even though he had been personally disciplined by Gio, Cherub, Noir, and Lixue.
He requested a brawl to see who was stronger. A duel, one versus one, not a mobbing like the previous siege.
"Fight me, Goddess Ely! Show me your otherwordly divine power!" Hydragon roared, flaunting his dominion.
*Bam!*
Elysia smacked the empty air, causing a massive gravity force that threw the colossal nine-headed sea dragon into the sea.
*Splash!*
The Hydragon was defeated before the battle even started, and that made many unconvinced calamity beasts afraid. Their arrogance shrunk, and the desire to challenge the realm master suddenly disappeared. They showed their respect and surrendered right away.
"Hey, I told you, moron. Challenging the realm master is suicide. Just submit and you will prosper in this heavenly paradise." All-Devouring Whale emerged onto the sea surface, dragging the sinking Hydragon with a sigh.
"The otherworldly power. I don’t even know what happened and how I was defeated. Is the difference between us so massive? This is truly otherworldly divine power." Hydragon still felt disbelief, but he finally understood why those super-powerful seniors bowed to Goddess Ely.
"Is there anyone else? Challenge us if you’re still not sure." Elysia looked at her surroundings from the sky, inviting newcomers to challenge her.
"..." The surrounding beasts were either kneeling or lying flat on the ground, acknowledging Goddess Ely as the army’s highest order.
"We offer a shelter and a new world for you. All you need to do is behave well under army rules. If you feel so arrogant and powerful, remember that one of my executives can defeat you with ease." Elysia pointed to her family members.
She believed even her ten Apostles could defeat these calamity monsters with ease sooner or later.
Elysia then led her group to roam around the Helven Realm, both the Hell and Heaven side.
After making sure there were no misbehaving calamity beasts, Elysia went to a particular spot where she left the calamity divine maggot, the sealed monster trapped in a little cage.
"What do you want?" The calamity divine maggot looked aside and snorted.
"Do you want to submit and join our monster army?" Elysia tried to make an offer.
"Not interested. You and those hypocrites are not that different. You just do whatever you want. Kill me if necessary. Give me release." The calamity divine maggot stared at the ocean with a distant gaze.
"Please forgive us for the previous matter. You were unable to cooperate and we need to take an extreme measure. You have been through a lot, but we come from another world. We harbor no enmity. I shall free you if you can fulfill my three conditions. How about it?" Elysia felt it was a shame, but she couldn’t help it.
It was close to impossible to make this calamity divine maggot submit. No, because it knew the Earth Mother Goddess joined her family group. Since the calamity divine maggot had its own desire, then she had to return it to its original destiny.
"It’s so rare for such a high divinity like you to apologize. Since you are so polite, I will listen to your conditions." The calamity divine maggot was intrigued.
Elysia smiled beneath her veil and gave three rules, absolute conditions that she inflicted on the calamity divine maggot.
The first one was it was not allowed to actively attack any living creature, only retaliate to the attacker. Second, the prohibition against killing the ones with good karma.
And the third... Elysia didn’t say it verbally but put a seal marker on the calamity divine maggot for a precaution.
"Go commit some crimes, but remember the rules." Elysia came out of Helven Realm, opened the cage, and handed a gun to the calamity divine maggot.
"This feels like a scam, but okay. I’ll play along. Remember the deal. You and your people shouldn’t touch me." The calamity divine maggot devoured the gun, placing it in its mouth.
It then looked aside and stared dagger at the Earth Mother Goddess before vanished into thin air. Elysia teleported it to somewhere.
*Plop*
The calamity divine maggot found the surrounding terrains resembling an underground ruin, an unfamiliar dark, and humid place.
The sound of gunshots and exclamations could be heard faintly in the distance.
The arm-sized maggot then crawled to check the surroundings, passed through several tunnels, and found several corpses.
As a weakened divine beast, the calamity divine maggot required tons of nutrients to recover some of its power. Thus, it devoured the surrounding dead bodies and continued to advance towards the source of the noise.
"Huh, where did those tricky bastards go?" An elite soldier aimed his advanced machine gun into each tunnel alternately but failed to find the enemy’s presence.
He signaled his comrades to scatter, but an arm-sized magot suddenly entered his vision, crawling out from a gap in the wall.
"Eew... A mutated maggot? Die!" One of the soldiers trampled the maggot with his boot several times, ensuring it was crushed to death.
The calamity divine maggot deflated like a balloon, and the humans left. However, the crushed maggot suddenly popped as if it was blown from the inside, returning to its original state. It immediately turned to the side, opened its mouth, and fired several shots at the soldiers from behind.
*Bang Bang bang!*
The soldiers then fell to the ground with a hole in their necks.
"Humans are so weak, and they are so arrogant. Hmm, some of them are good-quality corpses. This isn’t bad. I might need a few days to regain enough strength to be unrestrained in the world." The calamity divine maggot opened its mouth wide, devouring the dead soldier whole.
It accumulated many weapons in its mouth, ready to face any challenge. After finishing its feast, it crawled towards the injured soldiers in a nearby secret hideout.
The injured soldiers noticed the approaching arm-sized maggot but did nothing.
The calamity divine maggot only took a glance, then left that injured soldier group. Those soldiers had some good karma and had no desire to attack, so could only leave because of the agreed rules.
’It’s a freedom. These little rules can’t stop me! That Goddess Ely will pay for everything she did! But, she’s not that terrible. I will aim at Heaven’s Gods first. They deserve eons of suffering! I’ll trample upon the world, and then Heaven!’ The calamity divine maggot cried out in its mind and continued searching for prey, imagining countless ways to torture Heaven’s Gods in the future.
In the next few days, a monstrous maggot grew in size and posed an imminent threat to the factions fighting over the chaotic territories.
Firearms, bomb explosions, and even destructive projectiles could not harm the calamity divine maggot. The chaotic region in the Middle East soon fell into a high level of chaos, and the threat of disaster soon rose to dragon level.
The war stopped as all factions focused on dealing with the sudden monster’s assault. But when elite reinforcements from the World Unity Force arrived to deal with it, the dragon-level threat somehow disappeared.
"Where did that maggot monster go?" The captain of the elite squad frowned.
"We lost track of it, sir. Even our creature-detecting sonar couldn’t find that monster." The nearby soldier reported.
"What in the world is going on here? That monster is so picky in its attacks. It kills and devours some people, but spares the rest. Check the other camps. That monster has an attack pattern, and we have to discover it!" The captain exclaimed and immediately contacted other troops via intercom.
Unfortunately, the calamity divine maggot had long since left the chaotic region of the Middle East, aware that troublesome reinforcements had already arrived. It crawled underground, heading towards the chaotic region at twelve hundred miles to the north.
After half a day of journey, the calamity divine maggot popped its head to the surface. "She said I need to destroy the army troops in these two chaotic regions, but is this the right place? Never mind, let’s get back to partying. Spare only those with good karma. So easy, keke!"
