My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 414: Big Evils Begin to Emerge

Chapter 414: Big Evils Begin to Emerge

It had been several days since the calamity divine maggot was released to make the previously monster-safe regions even more chaotic than they already were.

The human factions who were fighting with each other to win over those territories suddenly stopped their war because of the public enemy.

"Ely, one of the World Unity Force’s higher-ups contacted me. They requested our help to handle the growing danger on Russia’s western borders. The calamity divine maggot, under the codename Apocalyptic Worm, rose to apocalypse-level." Erina showed the message to Elysia.

"Fufu, they immediately stopped fighting, right? Anyway, Xentia has prepared a scenario for them. We will ensure they will sign a permanent ceasefire. The two contested areas will enter a neutral zone, owned by nobody." Elysia put her hands together and smiled at Gaia.

"The apocalypse scenario has begun. I hope Earth’s inhabitants can survive the cataclysm into the fourth era." Gaia let out a soft sigh.

"You say it as if the cataclysm will happen tomorrow. It will take another hundred to two hundred years to happen. The world will be ready for it when the time comes." Elena waved her hand casually.

"Mm, then that’s it. Xentia has sent a notification to the relevant parties via the Guardian Alliance’s network." Elysia considered the matter had been resolved. She then looked at Erina from top to bottom. "Anyway, how about your training, Erina?"

"Err... I think I need to see Xentia first." Erina looked aside, looking for Xentia around.

"No can do. Your training isn’t over yet, my friend. Come back to the training chamber with us~" Evelyn held Erina’s shoulder from behind with a faint smile.

"That’s right. We’ll help you to advance to the next level. Let’s go~" Ella pushed Erina’s back to the training room.

"But, I am an SSS-level esper..." Erina tried to argue.

"Hum, that’s by Earth’s standards. You may be strong spiritually, but you neglect your physique very much. Let your sisters help you~ You are already so close to 6th Rank. Go back to cultivate!" Evelyn took Erina back to the training chamber. However, she didn’t forget to wave her hand at Elysia.

"..." Erina looked at Elysia for help.

"You’re so close to a breakthrough. I’ll be there for you soon~" Elysia waved her hand with a smile.

*Bam*

The training chamber’s door was closed.

"It’s time for them to return, right? Let’s pick them up." Lifa reminded Elysia while checking her timer.

"Mm, they should have had enough fun." Elysia nodded in response and revoked the island’s disguise barrier.

In the last few days, her family group continued their family event on an uninhabited island for a holiday. After the 1st-day family event, some girls wanted to check out some things related to the world’s mysteries, and they went as a group for that little adventure.

"We’re back." Ai emerged from the void, bringing her entire group safely.

"Welcome back. How was your adventure?" Elysia asked curiously.

"Phew... who would have thought those chaotic regions actually held such a cultivation ground with abundant spiritual energy. I thought it was the golden palace and the prophet’s treasure troves..." Jophiel felt a bit disappointed.

"They are fighting over some cultivation grounds?" Rhea looked at Gaia with an incredulous gaze.

"It’s not as bad as you think, Gaia. So, our approach is not bad, right? We achieved the good results, and they will soon have no other choice but to sign the permanent ceasefire." Nell landed on Gaia’s shoulder and teased the Earth Mother Goddess.

"Uhm, whatever it is, the current world situation should make people aware of the possible future. They should do something instead of that meaningless war." Gaia looked aside. Her conjecture proved wrong.

"Then, it’s easier to resolve. These two regions will become exclusive neutral zones for the talented ones to cultivate their spiritual power within a certain period of time." Elysia sent information to Xentia, and an additional scenario was soon prepared.

"Then, shall we send reinforcements to kill that maggot to fulfill their request?" Luna asked in wonder.

"No. We don’t need to do anything. The world has been prepared to face this situation since tens of thousands of years ago." Elena shook her head, glancing at Gaia.

"Yes, we don’t need to do anything. The heavenly heroes will rise when the time comes." Gaia clasped her hands while looking at the western sky.

Since the matter could be considered resolved and the solution would be put in motion on their own, Elysia could finally feel relieved. The Cube Island and the Guardian Alliance would help the world to survive when the cataclysm arrived.

Xentia even left ES Nirvana’s mech and artificial human puppet manufacturing facilities on Cube Island. The Cube Island would never lack personnel and tools. The fighting force that her family left behind would be enough to face any possible future.

Elysia grasped her hand and looked up at the sky, hoping that everything her family had done would bring a good future.

Her family was going to leave Earth for Vrelenia, but she wished to spend time on Earth for a few more days.

"Let’s go back. Leave those troublesome matters aside. This is our holiday. Xentia, come and join us!" Elena felt somewhat relieved because Elysia was a lot calmer and composed after Megami and Miko returned to the Elysian Realm. She then waved her hand to the sky.

Xentia soon teleported to the island and joined the family banquet.

While Elysia’s family finally got their holiday without having to involve themselves with world affairs, the Sacred Sakura Holy Land and its allies in Quadtria were busy dealing with the big evil sudden emergence.

Even though the world became a bit chaotic because many big evils were unsealed and created chaos everywhere, He-Dao and his group chose not to do anything.

They protected Sacred Sakura Holy Land from any threats, but ignored other mortal world affairs because they were still too busy mass-producing anti-evil magic items from the blueprints given by Elysia.

"It’s time for us to move. Surround the newly awakened big evil." Alicia, the witch leader of the Sanguine Occult, announced her order after checking the information from her intelligence.

"Yes, ma’am!" The surrounding mages replied with a knight salute before scattering in all directions, surrounding a coordinate point where the big evil would emerge.

At the same time, the Qinlan Sect’s team also made their move because the evil energy condensed near their territory, growing into a dark ley line, ready to bloom.

"Master, I can feel we still raised a death flag. We need to request reinforcements from the alliance immediately. The high demon that will awaken is too strong for our team to face." Zhuan Mei, the prime disciple of the Qinlan Sect, also the reincarnated Daughter of Heaven, dared herself to voice out her premonitions and visions of the future.

"Death flag? Are we going to be wiped out in this operation?" Zhao Yuqi frowned at her prime disciple’s remark.

However, she didn’t take it lightly because her new disciple possessed a unique ability.

"Yes." Zhuan Mei said it with a heavy heart.

The sect leader dispatched this team to resolve the growing threat. Even though the team consisted of several elders and talented disciples who could overthrow a mortal nation overnight, their mission still had a pitch-black death flag.

*Boom!*

A tectonic explosion blew the entire mountain, giving rise to a spiraling tornado of evil energy that soared high into the sky.

A pair of giant demonic hands emerged from the spiraling darkness, sweeping anything in its surroundings.

*Rumble!*

The ground shook and the animals in the surrounding forest scattered, fleeing from the sudden great danger.

Zhao Yuqi the team leader made an abrupt stop and raised her hand. The great danger had emerged, and she paled at the sight. "A suppressed great demon. It holds the power beyond 10th Rank..."

"..." Zhuan Mei bit her lower lips. Her premonition proved correct once again, but it was too late now.

She could have escaped from there to avoid the death flag, but she remained there to carry out a mission with her kind master for an absolute reason. Someone had to do something to prevent the heavenly demon’s resurrection!

Even though she had yet to possess the power to eradicate a heavenly demon, she could still stall for time until reinforcements from the Righteous Alliance arrived. Qinlan Sect had no power to fight a heavenly demon, and it would cease to exist if this heavenly demon fully awakened!

*Thud!*

Someone fell from the sky, leaving everyone shocked.

"Hey, what are you doing there? Get out of here if you don’t want to die. A heavenly demon has just risen." Lucius spat out a mouthful of blood and immediately got up, warning the nearby people to leave.

"You..." Zhuan Mei widened her eyes in shock. She recognized that magician-robed guy. Lucius, the reincarnated son of heaven! They probably could do something to that heavenly demon if they worked together!

"Oh, that’s you. Leave. We Sanguine Occult will eradicate that demon." Lucius felt a bit awkward. He left the last warning before flying away as he had to return to the battlefield.

"He seems to be a talented young mage. Who is that person, my disciple? Do you know him?" Zhao Yuqi looked at her disciple curiously.

"He is Lucius, a talented disciple who teamed up with me in the entrance test. He is the person I was talking to you about the other day, master." Zhuan Mei felt incredibly excited, but she soon frowned as she realized something. It was no wonder she couldn’t find Lucius anywhere. He left the sect and joined a mage cult!

"He doesn’t seem to be our Qinlan Sect’s disciple anymore. Is our sect mistreated such a hidden talent?" Zhao Yuqi pursed her lips, feeling it was a great loss.

Zhuan Mei waited for nothing more and immediately flew after Lucius. "Hey, it’s you, Lucius, right? Why did you leave Qinlan Sect? Did you know that I was looking for you everywhere?"

"..." Lucius remained silent, not knowing how to respond.

He abandoned his initial plan regarding the Qinlan Sect due to some changes, but that was not a problem. This girl was the trouble.

"Oh my~ I thought you were hurt, but who would have thought you would bring back a girlfriend. My Lucius has grown up. Your master is touched." Medea flew down from the sky, about to check on her apprentice’s condition. However, who would have thought that he would return with a cute girl?

"Stop it, master. We are still on the battlefield." Lucius scratched his head awkwardly and immediately flew away to join the group in bombarding the heavenly demon.

*Boom!* x99

The heavenly demon was bombarded with many advanced elemental explosions, engulfing the spiraling darkness in a high level of destruction.

"Err, are you Lucius’ master?" Zhuan Mei checked the graceful lady before her eyes from top to bottom. This lady’s talent wasn’t inferior to her master.

"Yes. Please take care of Lucius for me. Ah, we may not have met yet. My name is Medea." Medea flew closer and extended her hand.

"Uhm, Zhuan Mei. Pleased to meet you." Zhuan Mei responded politely and shook Medea’s hand.

"I need to return to my team’s siege. If you don’t mind, please assist us in eradicating that heavenly demon and his minions. They’re still in their weakened state, and now is the best opportunity to go all out ~" Medea waved her hand with a cheerful smile.

"Ah, yes, with pleasure!" Zhuan Mei nodded with an unreasonable sense of relief in her heart. Lucius got himself a good master.
