Chapter 472: A Joint Team
Chapter 472: A Joint Team
It took the students half a day to reach the gate to the boss floor on the 10th floor. During the journey, almost half of the students were eliminated because they suffered injuries beyond normal limits, and were forcibly ejected out of the great dungeon.
Due to safety reasons, the 10th floor was the last allowed floor for the new students to explore. Everyone below the intermediate level would be sent out once they managed to clear the first boss floor.
Although several teams had gathered around the gate, everyone no longer had any competition. The boss floor would require many people because their opponents could be numerous.
It was a simple camp where the students exchanged some information and formed a collaboration between two or three teams. They also used their time to rest and recover their magical power before they tried to challenge the boss monster.
"Really, that’s unbelievable. It only took us half a day to the first boss floor. This will break the academy record." Sam still felt it was hard to believe.
"And we are here..." Dorothy heaved a subtle sigh.
Based on the history of the academy in the past four years when students were allowed to explore the great dungeon, new students in the enrollment test would usually explore the first ten floors for one week before they arrived at the 10th floor.
The best-recorded enrollment test took two days for a joint team to beat the boss monster. Yet, they currently had many teams that managed to arrive at the boss floor in just half a day!
"Mm, we can confirm that the principal has an agreement with the dungeon owner."
"He might have also succeeded in clearing this great dungeon. That was how he received his private world, and the privileges bestowed by the God Spirit from this great dungeon’s deepest floor."
"That’s make sense. He cleared it and received the great dungeon owner’s recognition."
"Mm, unlike Sky God Spirit and Ice God Spirit, this great dungeon owner has yet to pass his divine legacy to anyone. The principal received something, but he doesn’t hold the divine legacy."
"So, it’s like the great dungeons in the Sky Library. The Misty Great Dungeon owner is most likely also looking for suitable inheritors, and also some promising talents who could carry his inheritances."
"But, have you been able to guess who owns this great dungeon?"
"Mm, yes. I have two people in mind. They both have the divine artifact similar to this dungeon."
The Goddesses held a secret meeting in the tent. Two God Spirits also joined in, but they still couldn’t guess for sure the truth.
"We’ll rush to the last floor after bidding our farewell to the students. We guided them enough and the fun will begin after this." Elysia intertwined her fingers together, stating their agenda.
"Yes, and we need to collect some materials. Considering this great dungeon has a lot of treasures and the owner is so generous, I’m sure we can find some good stuff on the deeper floors." Sky God Spirit grinned, but a headache immediately assaulted his head. He rubbed his head as if the pain was still fresh.
He got smacked by Rhea some time ago because Lucia snitched him to Elysia regarding his ’science research’. The Goddesses called him the Pervert God Spirit now.
Regardless of anything, he took good care of Lucia and taught her a lot of things, including helping her to form her human form from the best of the best models in his collection. However, she reported everything to Elysia without care about the world!
"I hope I can find some materials to complete the requirements for my private world." Fortuna put her hands together cheerfully.
She had secured the core and some peripheral materials to create her dream world, but some important resources were still missing. Since a divinity could only create and possess one private world connected to their divine soul, then she had to prepare everything patiently and wholeheartedly, without rushing anything. It would be her dream perfect world, after all.
"Hmm..." Darkness thought about it. Her Darkness Realm was nothing more than a sealed realm in the separate dimension between the Underworld and Hell. She claimed that dimension as her territory, but she actually never owned any private world like the Vrelenian Goddesses.
Lifa and Nell possessed their own private world, but Rhea possessed none because it was destroyed during the great war against Ruvoid in the previous era.
As for the other divine beings in the group... Elysia, Elena, and Ai were hard to comprehend. This trio had no private world, but they possessed the Elysian Realm in Elysia’s soul.
As for Zera, this Ruvoid Goddess who was somehow converted into an ally by Elysia also possessed none. However, Zera was already domiciled in Elysia’s shadow, treating it as a private world.
The last one was Xentia, the newly ascended artificial God-level angel. This cyborg girl had no private world, but Xentia possessed ES Nirvana and several massive spatial storage rooms to store many mechs, robots, dolls, and weapons of destruction.
The Helven Realm and the corrupted Diaphthora Realm, these two realms held universal ownership with priority levels. However, these realms were specifically for storing calamity beasts in the monster army.
"I also want to create a private world in the future..." Darkness unconsciously muttered her desire.
"Sure. Since you are part of us, we will help you. You should bring up this topic again once you ascend to godhood." Elysia replied with a nod.
"Thank you, Ely... you are too good for me." Darkness felt touched. Elysia’s reply was simple and probably sounded like an empty promise, but she knew Elysia would never betray her trust and expectations.
"Hum, the first boss is the sandworm monster. In the initial stage, they will only spawn three. But if the challengers take too long to defeat these three, more will spawn from the ground." Ella stated the report from the information she got from her grandfather.
She squeezed out a lot of important information from her grandfather before coming here, even though it was only up to the 57th floor.
"That’s just the first boss, and we’re on the 10th floor. How strong are they, to begin with?" Sylvia crossed her arms.
The trials, challenges, and puzzles were still easy. Too easy for them, but it was still fun to mess with those young students. The arrogant and self-conscious students would bend over their knees to pay their respects once they witnessed a fragment of her prowess.
"They are at levels 51 to 79. The initial three should be at level 60, the pinnacle of Beginner-level monsters." Ella put down the note. Those boss-level monsters were too weak for them but too strong for a new student to face.
Considering the new students were still around level 20, it would require more than combat power to defeat those monsters. It also couldn’t be passed by just one new student.
"Well, the real game begins after this. Let’s warp it up quickly." Dylan sighed. It was pretty tiring to play with those naive humans, but he had to be patient for a little longer.
---
A few moments later, the teams formed cooperation and collaboration to pass the boss floor. Their team leaders agreed to share the loot on the tenth floor based on contributions.
"We need to break the record. The boss floor is much more difficult than the previous monsters. If we succeed in breaking the record, we will not only get a lot of treasures but also a big reward from the principal." The leader of team 11 whispered to his comrades.
"..." Dorothy nodded in understanding. She represented her team in this discussion.
"Good. I hope everything goes smoothly. We now need to share our team members’ skills and traits." The leader of team 13 shared some papers with the other team leaders.
Three teams would form a joint team to pass the boss floor. If they could defeat three boss monsters in the first five minutes, then they could pass and emerge victorious before more boss-level monsters would spawn from the ground.
They would struggle with time to get more gains.
"..." Dorothy was silent for a moment. She felt a little hesitant to reveal her team members’ skills and traits. However, she still wrote it, even though it seemed ambiguous.
Once teams 9, 11, and 13 were finished with their discussion, the three team leaders came out of the tent and called their team members to gather as a group.
"Hi~" Elysia waved her hand.
"Where have you been?" Dorothy asked Ely and the girls questioningly. She was about to look for them because she could only find Sam.
"Some peaceful chit-chat with the other teams. Maybe, we can pass this boss floor in less than a minute." Elysia put her hands together.
"Why you’re so confident?" Dorothy raised her eyebrow because it was like nothing but a mere gibberish. However, she somehow felt it wasn’t a joke.
"We’ll see it soon~" Elysia smiled faintly.
Elysia then shared her little plan with the newly formed joint team. Since the monsters on the boss floor were annelids, then it would be super easy to defeat them.
