Chapter 481: A Brief Tour
Chapter 481: A Brief Tour
All magic academy’s primary facilities were moved to the private world four years ago, leaving the former academy buildings outside.
The academy’s outer area was still relatively vacant. Various factions took advantage of that and left at least one representative in this area. However, no outsiders were allowed to enter the private world without permission.
The first thing Evelyn did was split the group into smaller teams to prevent attracting too much attention.
"Everyone goes to have fun, but why do we need to split into the smaller teams? What is the meaning of the study tour, to begin with? Darkness, you tell me." Sylvia crossed her arms and looked around. She still didn’t understand the main purpose of Evelyn’s arrangement.
"Hm, we arrived at the entertainment district. It’s like an amusement park festival. As for the study tour... we need to venture further to find out." Darkness looked around curiously.
"Hum, then we shall follow the flow for now. We need to gather at the main building at noon. Hum-mm~ I wonder what we as ordinary students can enjoy for a day." Sylvia shrugged her shoulders and put the thoughts aside.
"..." Dylan looked up occasionally as he felt that they were being watched by a human party with a specific purpose.
"Let’s go this way." Dylan pulled Sylvia and Darkness by the collar and entered the nearby alley.
"What?" Sylvia knew something was wrong. She just spoke about it, and three people fell from the sky with a loud thud.
"What is your purpose in stalking us? I’ll let it slide if you bring no harm, but your killing intent is beyond obvious." Dylan pressed the human stalkers to the ground.
"You, white-haired and red-eyed curse... we were assigned to monitor you. Don’t kill us, or you’ll suffer the consequences." The masked man grimaced, but he grinned as if everything was still in the plan.
"So, are you tired of living? I don’t like a threat. I can kill you without a trace or anyone’s notice." Dylan raised his eyebrows.
"What are we going to do with them?" Sylvia put her hand to her waist, feeling intrigued.
"What else? I shall turn them to ashes in a split second." Dylan manifested a crimson orb.
"No, wait. Do you want to cause trouble? There are thousands of ways to make them useful, much better than such a brute killing. That’s not elegant." Sylvia shook her head as she pulled her father’s arm.
"What do you have in mind?"
"Enslave them in a demonic contract and you can find out more about their true reason. You should be used to things like this, right?"
"Hum, yes. But, they are too weak for such consideration. What can you get from such small fries?"
"Who knows? You do it, and make them useful. Don’t spoil the fun." Sylvia pursed her lips and crossed her arms. She spoke nothing more, just waiting for her father to do it for her.
"Alright then." Dylan complied and did as he was told. He shouldn’t spoil the fun when the so-called study tour hasn’t even started yet.
The three human spies were bound in a hell’s contract that could bind even a Saint to be subject to the applicable rules. The spies also couldn’t refuse the contract because of the overbearing coercion from the disguised Devil Emperor.
"Hm? What is that?" Sylvia noticed the crowd around the plaza, and they seemed excited about something.
Several Elysium teams were also drawn to that place out of curiosity. Thus, Sylvia waited nothing more and dragged Darkness and her father to the plaza.
"What happened?" Sylvia nudged Yuuki with a smile.
"I just arrived too. But, I heard that a chess competition is being held. They are also holding a card strategy game for an attractive grand prize." Yuuki shook her head.
"Chess and card strategy? Aren’t those some of the games Ely introduced us five years ago? Someone stole and invented them?" Sylvia widened her eyes in shock.
"Rather than that, it was more widely spread. Pope Alexander and Emperor Arthur once played them. All the games our master introduced became popular." Yuuki granted Sylvia a head chop with her hand, albeit gently.
"O-oh~ So, let’s join the card strategy game. We shall bring the grand prize home." Sylvia dragged her team. She wished to oppose the opponent, and Yuuki’s team would become a good rival.
The chess game was free to play as long as the participant passed the preliminary round, but the card strategy game was still vacant. Since the participant tickets were quite expensive, only a handful of people registered.
"The student council team... why are you taking part in this game?" Sylvia blinked her eyes in wonder.
"I’ve wanted to try this card game for a long time. Because the organizers put an attractive prize, then I won’t hesitate." Milena grinned with confidence.
She previously tried to stalk Ely’s team, but she lost Ely’s trail and ended up here. Since she discovered Ely’s circle of friends was nearby, then she registered herself in the game. She also dragged her secretary for this.
"Uh, so it’s like that. This game has high stakes and grand prizes because they also set up a gambling system. Look, they’ve placed the bid on who will win." Sylvia pointed at behind. Her father placed a large amount of money to bid on her team.
"What?!" Milena gasped in surprise. She didn’t know that, and she actually hated getting involved in gambling, but she joined the game without knowing it.
"Well, that’s their business. We’re not gambling here. Don’t be too confident. You’re not a winner yet." Yuuki flicked her fingers. Vanessa and Lynn stood on her side, ready to fight Sylvia’s team.
"It’s going to be hard, but don’t underestimate me." Sylvia replied with a devilish grin.
"Err... what is this?" The third-party competitor scratched his head awkwardly. The game rules changed suddenly and he formed an impromptu team from his subordinates. He had beautiful competitors, but two out of three looked scary.
"Fufu, it’s just a game and they’re so enthusiastic." Elysia smiled in amusement, witnessing everything from the roof.
"Our Lavely Pizza has almost dominated the food industry. Here, I brought some pizza~" Evelyn arrived with a tower of pizza boxes. Rosie and Rosa also helped her out by carrying several bags of food.
"Hmm, is that a fast food business? You opened the business while you were still a student?" Erina was intrigued.
"Yup. Ely is a top-tier chef and business expert. Ella and I actually don’t do much apart from funding her business plan. We’re just her secretaries actually, hehe~ Other people run this business for us now." Evelyn put the pizza boxes on the table and rubbed her head with a soft laughter.
"The study tour is where?" Dory muttered softly.
"We shall pay a visit to the museum and the magic exhibition soon. Do you want to go to the mage store too? Once the noon arrives, we will enter the private realm." Evelyn explained a little.
"We’re going to war tomorrow, but we’re still so relaxed here." Dory couldn’t help but heave a subtle sigh.
"It’s okay. This is a world boss raid where the local residents should save their own world from the world-class threat. As for now, you need to spend more time with your master. We’re always by your side. Feel free to tell us what you think and want." Elysia held Dory’s hand.
"Thank you, master." Dory smiled faintly. Regardless of anything, her master was her home dan greatest backer. Some good bonding to strengthen their relationship was always good.
Jophiel waved her hand upwards as she noticed her master’s presence on top of the building, looking at everyone. She then pointed to the magic exhibition building as she would bring her team to visit that place.
Elysia waved her hand and nodded in reply. Her disciples also roamed around the vicinity.
*Zap*
He-Dao emerged out of thin air with Yuna and Amy by his side. They landed on the roof to meet Elysia.
"You’re here, apparently." He-Dao breathed a sigh of relief.
"Didn’t you enjoy a day as an ordinary student? You are so quick to return." Elysia looked aside, feeling a bit shocked.
"I’ve toured the entire city, and have nothing to do at the moment." He-Dao grabbed the nearby stool and sat there.
"You don’t have to rush. It won’t bring you any joy." Elysia sighed and gave a box of pizza to He-Dao and his agents.
He-Dao received it, but he remained silent because he wished to regroup with Elysia’s team as soon as possible. Thus, the tour was completed in less than half an hour.
"Yeah, it was just a flash and a scan. We barely saw anything. There was no joy in sightseeing in a sped-up movement. I felt a bit dizzy. Give me a drink..." Amy felt a bit weak and grabbed the nearby bottle, but she ended up shocked at the sensation. "Blah! Why do they seem to bite my tongue?"
"That’s sparkling water. You shouldn’t drink it all at once. Take mineral water if you’re thirsty." Evelyn offered the mineral water in concern.
"I see. Anyway, thanks." Amy gave a thumbs up.
"..." Yuna was speechless as she watched her lord eat the pizza. She then went to Elysia’s side. "What are you going to do to the God of Trade? Wouldn’t it be better to let him know about our arrival? Why play secret? We even asked the principal to remain silent?"
"This is a surprise visit. He should not prepare anything for our arrival. Once we confirm his situation, we will leave him alone." Elysia shook her head.
Lifa would handle this matter, and she had no special interests other than finding out the God of Trade’s real intentions.
Once the short break was over, Evelyn stored the pizza in her storage pouch, and then Elysia brought everyone to the magic exhibition building.
